Yeah but you have to admit, the Queens are King when it comes to English shows and shows that chicks like (and yeah I like one of these) Pride and Prejudice, Inspector Morse, Blue Planet.

Couple other points: Unions are like any other formal power structure: corruptible, and prone to being co-opted by power-hungry leaders and corrupted interests. You won't find me criticizing the first unions, or even collective bargaining in general. You willfind me criticizing what unions have largely become--fat, bloated, unresponsive, power-hungry, unreasonable bureaucracies that subsidize laziness and punish the ambitious and conscientious. Unions are indeed corruptible like any other instit…

you annoy the fuck out of me lol! Well this goes both ways. It is not 1914 anymore. I agree it's sad that the left has so declined. On the other hand so has the right. Compare HL Mencken to Francis Fukuyama. However the best anti-feminist polemics all come from the non-right, and this remains true. One of my favorite anti-feminist critiques is that of Bob Black: "Feminism as Fascism" and "If you can't stand the heat, stay in the kitchen": http://www.inspiracy.com/black/abolition/feminism.html ht…

I will literally talk to anyone. When I talk to the left, what do I end up with? A hit piece. I think this is absolutely a fair complaint. But I also think you have a rather limited view of "the left". Do you even read Counterpunch or InformationClearinghouse? Earnest Bax was a leftist; GK Chesteron, probably the most eloquent of all anti-feminists and definitely a social conservative, also advocated wealth redistribution to the poor; Proudhon spoke out against feminists; Mother Jones was an ant…

Should we teach women not to rape?
/r/MensRights31/03/18 04:07 AM

And yet feminists claim we are living in a "rape culture." Strange that. You'd think rape was perfectly acceptable. What is your opinion? Is there a rapist lurking behind every street corner? No. Rape rates are at an all time low, and the tiny, tiny, tiny percentage of actual rapists who actually exist want to hurt people, and won't be helped by feminism. Trying to teach them "not to rape" is possibly the dumbest strategy in the history of the world. Indeed, the only sound strategy I can think o…

I think there is a certain percentage of the population that wants to harm people (men, women, boys, girls) but they are exceedingly rare. And you certainly can't train people "not to rape." For a rapist, I'm guessing the entire point is to hurt people. And there's another issue as well. Three separate studies in Canada revealed that upwards of 60 percent of male rapists were sexually abused by women as children. So in other words, the single best way of stopping male-on-female rape is to target…

I read a really interesting book about the genocide in Rwanda. It's called "Machete Season." So basically all these guys would go out (and their wives would encourage them, to get stuff)...well...kill people, chop them up, it was absolutely horrific, it's one of the worst things I've ever read. But even then, there was no particular interest in rape. It was more like "chop him up and take his stuff." Now rape is a real atrocity and a real atrocity of war -- it happens, against women, against gir…

Back in the 70's there used to be a "prison abolition" movement. No one actually thought it would succeed; but the idea was that we could do better than punishment. Everyone recognized that there are indeed psychos; but people also recognized that most imprisoned men (especially those with drug convictions) were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Today, feminists demand prison abolishment -- BUT ONLY FOR WOMEN. This is obscene. This is the very definition of inequality.

Why are most women not feminists? After all, they are all mother bears, no? Well at first glance this will probably seem sexist, but I think it's due to risk aversion. If you look at "X saves Y from death" videos on Youtube, 99.9 percent of them are men. Protecting a bear cub requires great risk -- and there is only a superficial risk involved here. The instinct is there, but the risk isn't. I think this also explains why most women don't call themselves feminists. There is too much risk involve…

Amazing how things come full circle. The modern day "left", or what passes for it, blames Russia for all of the world's problems, just like the right used to do. I have an answer, but you're not gonna like it. During the 70's the feminist movement attached itself to the left. The first major critique of feminism was actually written by a socialist (Earnest Bax), but most leftist men just sort of went along for the ride during the 70's and beyond because they didn't want to be viewed as sexist/misogynist. Similar to the way the right also embraces certain forms of gynocentrism. The left is generally anti-war. Upwards of 4 million Muslims have been killed …

Well I'm not a proponent of "mass immigration", if that's what you mean. I don't think it helps anybody, including the migrants. Quite right. The problem is that males have out group bias toward females, while females have in group bias toward themselves: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15491274 This was evidently a sound evolutionary strategy once upon a time, that has now become extremely maladaptive. So both men and women are going to have to do something that is very much against their instinctual nature: support men and boys. The alternative is basically tyranny.

anyone with any knowledge of statistics would know it is ridiculous to assume there is even nearly enough books of sufficient quality written by women to match 40% of the men. Quite right. It would be interesting to see how much of this abuse occurs in single mother households. I suspect that fathers are much more adept at "laying down the law" with their voice alone, and that single mothers become easily frustrated by their inability to guide boys. Ditto the new "baby daddy": the boy doesn't love and respect him like he does his own father, becomes unruly, and the new "father" resorts to abuse.

It seems self-evident that boys are more difficult to raise on average. You can spout all the social-constructionist bullshit you want, but boys have a fuck ton of energy and need an outlet. They need proper guidance from adult males. We are engaging in an unprecedented social experiment, in which huge numbers of boys are being raised and taught solely by women (and often their new "baby daddies" who don't have the same love for the child as the biological father). This is -- in a word -- obscen…

I disagree. Here's what I wrote on the CMV thread: Feminism is a female supremacist/anti-male movement and always has been. You need only read their own quotes. Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who created the first feminist conference in the US, wrote, "we are, as a sex, infinitely superior to men." The founder of the first gender studies course, Sally Miller Gearhart, advocated genocide against men (she coined the phrase "the future is female" -- she meant it literally). The issue would be if the drugs are given inappropriately/unnecessarily. Right. That's the issue. The reality is there are women who fear for their safety, and there are women who have been assaulted At minimum we should be teaching women that the odds of their being assaulted are significantly lower than the odds of men being assaulted. It doesn't help anyone (except feminists) to terrorize women.

I’m talking about both. The idea that one gender is over medicated doesn’t disappear at 18 There is a huge difference between an adult self-medicating and a child being forced to take a drug by adults for engaging in natural behavior. If women really don’t feel safe you should ask why. I personally know more women than men who use prescription drugs especially adderal. I'm talking about boys, not grown adults. Why is feeling unsafe in quotes? Why shouldn't it be? College campuses are extremely safe places for young women. Yet feminists are constantly talking about the importance of "feeling safe", to the point where they have used this argument as an excuse to prevent MRA groups being formed at some Canadian universities.

The solution isn't to ask men to act like women. And it's not enough to ask society to accept men who act like women. The solution is to adapt social services to men's attitudes. But no western government today thinks like that, they only want to help women. Exactly. Telling men to act more like women will not only not help them but make their lives worse. Asking feminists for advice on how to help men makes about as much sense as the NAACP seeking advice from the KKK.

Feminists oppose fathers rights. They are the main impediment to achieving reform. Eg there are dozens of examples of feminists successfully blocking shared parenting legislation. It is in fact males, not females, that suffer "institutional oppression" in the modern day west. Oppression means "cruel or unjust treatment", and virtually all of our institutions are anti-male. Conversely, females are given a wide range of institutional privileges that males lack. Baby boys can be legally mutilated at birth. Their foreskins are then used for female beauty products. The education system discriminates against boys. They are often drugged for natural boyish behavior, and docility…

"Toxic masculinity" is better described as "toxic femininity," since it is primarily females that enforce the male gender role: What Brown also discovered in the course of her research is that, contrary to her early assumptions, men's shame is not primarily inflicted by other men. Instead, it is the women in their lives who tend to be repelled when men show the chinks in their armor. "Most women pledge allegiance to this idea that women can explore their emotions, break down, fall apart—and it's…

Men are certainly more likely to commit homicides. But women are just as violent in general. Their violence just tends to be less dramatic. They are actually more likely to initiate unilateral violence against their partners, and are more likely to abuse children. There are also other forms of violence that are predominantly female -- eg proxy violence (false accusations, for example, which use the violence of the state). Re: justice system. You said IN the criminal justice system. So they would already have to be in jail and the way they're treated in jail makes the difference. Nope. They are much less likely to be arrested, charged, serve prison time, and when they do serve prison time their sentences are 60 percent shorter. Dozens of studies demonstrate this conclusively. But that doesn't negate the fact that men commit way more crimes than women. Wrong again. They are just much less likely to be punished for their crimes. Indeed…

Actually a study in the UK revealed that if women were treated like men in the criminal justice system, half of all prisoners would be female. Not only are you wrong, but there is a much greater sexual than racial gap in terms of sentencing, arrest rates etc. (six times larger, in fact). Women are essentially treated like children by the law. But you won't see any feminists trying to redress this institutional oppression of men.

Women on the Right especially love Peterson because he tells men to man up — see the “Tragic Story of the Man-Child” — and that’s why a lot of men abhor his take-it-or-leave-it call to manhood. Boys are doing poorly in school, men are treated much more harshly by the criminal justice system, men make up the vast majority of workplace deaths, it is legal to mutilate baby boys etc... The proper way of describing this phenomenon is that the more choice women have, the more likely they are reject jobs in STEM.

Now, if we had a majority of women in positions of power You don't understand how power works, or how men work for that matter. Women are also slightly more likely to be religious. [edit: according to /u/DolphinsAreOk the percentage of "women opposed to abortion" has been charted as high as 63 percent] Either way these stats give the lie to the feminist claim that anti-abortion policies are a conspiracy by the patriarchy -- though no doubt they'll simply c…
