I would recommend finding something to become passionate about, that will give you a number of things to talk about. For instance I have a vegan friend who has done enough research on the subject to talk about the science behind his choice for days. Flow is one of those things that you already have, it's kind of like breathing, just don't overthink it.

I've seen a couple of things similar to this. One thing that I picked up on was the fact you can utilize her to attract more attention when she appears to be having a good time being out with you. As far as friendzoning yourself intentionally to get out of the friendzone; it sounds like more work for less real profit. If you get friendzoned you can keep the friendship but it would be best to move on to greener pastures.

If a coffee shop is too expensive you might want to try a public park or a beach. Do a google search in your area for any festivals or events going on, that is usually a sure bet for something different and usually pretty beneficial to one with a low budget.
