To the average radical feminist, the patriarchy is represented by all men (starting with white men). Unfortunately, many people do not read the actual literature, and merely repeat their interpretation of here-say. However, some women face oppression when it comes to misogyny in the workplace and other areas of life. Meanwhile, men face similar and parallel misandry, albeit in a quieter manner which is far too often overlooked due to the outspokenness of those protesting the former. Media responds with predictable sneer. He made a deal with a shady production company to try to fund it. However, that company did not give him his funding, so he mainly made it through private donations, and I think some crowdsourcing (don’t quote me if I’m wrong). So, although the production company didn’t actually fund him, the exective, through that agreement managed to take the rights to the movie from him. But revenge isn’t the way.
