1	Asocial men and the rejection of male gender roles are linked somehow. Since society has a strong aversion for men who don't adhere to traditional masculinity. And Asocial men are a example of that. The aversion asocial women face is not comparable to the aversion asocial men face. There are examples in this thread about it. Social dynamics are entirely different, women are seen as inherently socially valuable for existing. People will actively seek out asocial women, who are seen as "shy". 5	what are some good books on the actual history of feminism? There are many points which require a book or more to fully detail. Getting to the point can leave many arguments for why something is true or false on the table. It seems tedious, but this is why serious research uses citations (ideally leading to primary sources) to back up points and offer evidence for their point of view. Another factor is that it's harder to read "actively" on the internet. Grammatically the rule is written incorrectly, then, because it leaves it open which groups based on "gender" or other characteristics are marginalized/vulnerable. If that explanation is given, it should be challenged. Either it should be explicitly stated in the rules that Reddit considers men unmarginalized and invulnerable, or we need to make them do the work each and justify it when we come across hate speech like this. That's the way it's phrased in their own grammar, and it's on whoever wrote it for not specifying which groups are marginalized. Calling for their euthanization medically or for their outright murder is objectively inciting violence against a vulnerable group based on their gender. 1	At what point in your life, did you stop being affected by calls to "man up"? It depends who it was coming from. I grew up with older brothers and they'd deliberately tease me, rough me up, and provoke me to get a reaction. Once that was achieved, they made sure I knew that crying was the wrong reaction and that anger was the correct reaction. This wasn't always phrased as "man up", but it was said in so many words.
