100% this. Strength/hypertrophy training gets preached a lot here, and while it is a good starting point, staying solely in the gym ends up creating an ego bubble. 90% of those big dudes would get obliterated by a half-decent BJJ practitioner.

UPDATE: I can't thank all of you who offered advice enough. It really helps knowing I'm not just making up problems and there are other people going through similar stuff. I'm going to get my blood levels checked to see if I should get on vitamin/mineral supplements, it seems that my symptoms greatly correlate with a vit. D deficiency. Peace.

Thanks, honestly it's not that much about the girl but I'm thankful for the experience because it taught me AWALT. I just wish a healthy look at who I am as a person. I don't want to resent myself any more when I'm technically just another regular human. And I do that look back thing, but it only makes me see opportunities missed for stupid reasons, which stresses me out and keeps repeating the cycle.

Thank you. Right now I am burdened with school and other issues so my social life is all but dead, and I planned to start experimenting as soon as winter break comes. But if I'm always going to feel this way in the background idk if it's worth it.

I gotta be honest, your comments are tearing me apart guys. I completely understand why you're telling me to next her, and I'll sound like a total bitch saying this but I still fucking love her a lot. God damn it.

Do you really think I should be that harsh? I understand why that option is the best for "let's take a break" talks, but rn I really don't have enough info to tell if it's a branch swing or something else. We haven't contacted since and there are a lot of gaps in the story. It makes literally no sense for her to branch swing because the relationship was amazing so far. My original plan was to talk to her about it in person and see what's going on.

Yeah definitely theres some of that too, but only when I behave in accordance to my looks. When I i start joking around I'll get shit tested a lot.

I bet when you start doing that they will stop respecting you like they do now That's exactly what happens every single time. When I'm in sync with my looks people respect me and there's not much drama. However I'm kind of goofy as a person, and whenever I show that side I'll get shit tested, teased and overall disrespected. It's frustrating that only with my closest friend(s) I can be the person I truly am, and everything else must be an act or else I get cast out completely.

Yes, I've been exactly as how you described the nerdy guy for most of your life. It's only when I started lifting in November that I started changing, and for the better. In fact some people say I've changed so fast that they have problems keeping up with me. Congrats to your friend, but I really don't think i can pull off something like that. My teeth have a long way to go, rn they're spaced and gummy and all sorts of things. It's better than before now with braces, but still 8/10 times when I …

1: "Can you first show me how to bring shoes to someone? I think I forgot again." 2: "Famous singer's long lost brother." 3: "No, I'm afraid of girls, haha." 4: "Say hi to Josh for me!", then dump her. 5: "You should work out a bit with me first to get good, wouldn't want to make Josh disappointed.", then pull her hair or slap her thighs or something. 6: "Easy for what? We're just having a conversation." 7: If her body language indicates a test, I'd say "Sure, if that's what we're gonna call it …

Monk mode = fixing the reasons why girls reject you (I was skinny, looked like shit and had 0 frame) Wrong to call her my "gf", more like secret fwb. I'm not committed in the slightest. No sex yet, but seeing the results of my kino it could come soon. I'm kinda afraid of what it could lead to because this girl is sending me very mixed signals. Alongside the red flag you mentioned, there's also the fact that she's open about her drinking habits and lets me do really wild shit in public, while at …

Been doing it for 8 months man, I wouldn't have achieved anything without lifting. I just have a minor problem transforming muscle into confidence, but so far it's going great.

One other problem I didn't note is that due to constantly overthinking and questioning myself I'm always extremely exhausted (first mentally then physically) in social situations. I tried to branch out several times but this weakness always comes back and screws me. I really struggle to maintain a presence, let alone a frame. Wont stop trying ofc. I'll check out the book, ty for the reply.

Not sure if you literally said that Yes I literally said that, on many occasions, alongside many other stupid things. I usually do this around newly met people with whom I'm yet to establish frame, and as you can imagine I very quickly lose their respect. So far I've read the sidebar up to "applying red pill concepts" and I'm currently reading NMMNG while trying to implement the 48 laws. I've also read a billion FRs and theories, but that only served me in turning TRP from a "toolbox" into a cop…

Thank you so much for this post. Even though I'm a pretty young guy, seeing a day wasted playing video games or browsing reddit gives me a sorrow like no other. I'd say it's very smart how you divided lifetimes into hours because it helped me respect time and understand that even after being productive, one shouldn't allow themselves to willingly waste time, as it fucks up the reward system and rewards us for slacking off. Also, a great point about being grounded in your actions and beliefs. Man…
