We live in a world where laws are designed to be insanely unfair to men and people say men don’t face systemic oppression. "B-but this doesn't happen all the time; not ALL women! Women have it so much worse! This is an insignificant problem." I'm starting to see more people downplay gender discrimination toward men and that's terrifying. I'd be given slight leeway because I'm a woman, but folks'll really look at you as the enemy.

Learn to overcome your impotent rage. So, why did you generalize, insult, and demean a community over a post you didn't care to read? I'm a Black woman; sucks that I need to say it, but it'll stop you from assuming that I'm just some 'weak and pathetic' man. Now then: I don't see how you came to your conclusions. I mean, looking through that list, it's calling to attention how men have been/continue to get screwed over because of their gender alone. A Women's Shelter? Yes, we have them everywher…

What's ridiculous about this?

What, exactly, is the issue here?

They never said that, though?

Well I’m sure they’re sad, but also proud. No one wants their loved ones to die, but if he died saving another person’s life, especially when he didn’t have to, then at least he died a hero. I mean, that's your philosophy; not theirs. It might be fine if your dad died a hero, but some folks don't really care about that, y'know? Not everyone is capable of risking their lives.

But much of that choice came from social programming to believe that women must be protected in that manner. You can't choose to save someone if the criteria is firmly reliant on their gender. How is that NOT a robotic response?

Uh, sorry? I couldn't tell if was a joke?

I certainly agree with this.

They didn't - lots of people legit don't believe that men can be sexually assaulted or raped.

You know that women can also be rapists, right? This is so tone-deaf; you've only briefly mentioned male victims, but your comments are primarily focused on women who've been assaulted by men. And you post this in a Men's Rights forum, too; like, it's not always women who get fucked over.

You got a lot of nerve preaching about empathy & reason when you just called the majority of folks fucking rapists. That's beyond disgusting; your priority was to win, not to actually engage in a conversation, which is exactly why you couldn't even bring in official & scientific articles to support your claims. There are women who've subscribed to this sub; I'm one of them. I'm also a woman who was sexually assaulted, but you wouldn't have known that, would you? Am I'm still a rapist because I d…

You're talking about people who were raped, but it's not applicable to this particular post - this is specifically about women who claim they were raped only because they regret having sex with some dude.

Given the circumstance, expecting this is unreasonable. In general, I'd suggest you not react so coarsely to these kinds of things without first seeking to understand who said it. Intent matters. I knew that you didn't know - that's exactly why I said it in the first place. People tend to generally assume a user's male, so it's very common & understandable to make that mistake. It's a very, very minor mistake that everyone makes (unless someone's intentionally misgendering a person). Expecting m…

That is untrue. I was calling you one out of a general sign of respect to other travelers along this mortal plane. That said, you can choose your own pronouns if you prefer. However, you are aware I wasn't aware of your preferences before you told me. I'm aware that you don't know; I'm aware that people won't know. I'm not going to harass someone for not knowing when I typically don't state it unless needed. You didn't know, but at the same time it makes no sense to accuse me of being narcissist…

I said it's pathetic that we can't even treat people properly; you, on the other hand, had no problem attacking me specifically even as you preached about the importance of respect. You further try to put me down by mentioning how shitty the world is right now, effectively cutting off my right to disagree. I know the world's fucked up, you don't need to tell me that - that doesn't give you the right to use the world as an excuse to target me for an opinion which I'm allowed to have & express. Pe…

You're not calling me a King (I'm a woman, by the way) out of respect; you're calling me that as a jab because I don't like the fact that people apparently need to use these terms to give a person respect when they should be doing that in the first place. The Golden Rule. That is what it's all coming back to: treat others the way you want to be treated. Except quite a bit of time when someone's calling a person a Queen, it's support for someone who's a shitty person; it's used to actually put ot…

If we have to refer to a person as a King or Queen to show that you respect them, then it's clear that we're terrible at treating others with common courtesy. We should already be willing to give respect to individuals. It's absolutely pathetic that we'd even NEED such a shitty concept.

But there's still information missing - are women working the same hours (maybe more) & job position as men, or do they work fewer hours along with other outside factors?

And it's a blatant misinterpretation of a person's issue with the opposite that allows for toxic escalation of shaming men & women. People had little issue twisting my words on my post - they knew I was a woman - and it became clear to me that it's easier for them to ignore what I was saying because with every explanation their replies got shorter until one just dipped while another couldn't even bother explaining why they told me that men were better when they had little issue accusing me of se…

I made a post on /r/rant about how it's not right for us women to shame men for existing and trying to call for them to be aborted, that we have no right to ignore & belittle someone on the basis of their gender and calling them incels when their behavior is reasonably questioned. Everyone who commented completely misinterpreted what I was saying, with some even trying to say that I believed women were above men when the entirety of my post was about how we're NOT better than men and that we nee…

I'm sorry, where's the pussypassdenied here? Shitty that she's generalizing men, but there was no need for this dude to just call her a cum dumpster, especially since we're never given a clear idea as to the type of person the woman is. He did the same thing she did - both are shitty people.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
