"...which you can't, since they didn't." We would love to hope so but the courts do not work like that. They are not concerned with getting at truth. This is something a lot of people have trouble with but it's cured pretty definitively by any contact with the legal system where your fate is up for argument. You have two opposing sides and a judge or jury to evaluate which is more compelling. Who has the better lawyer or the bigger pile of paperwork, so to speak. If I smack myself in your car, a…

I agree. Because it is such a heinous crime (that can carry maximum sentences on par with killing a person), false accusers absolutely should have the same fear of repercussions for perjury and perverting the course of justice as any other member of society. It's a lot harder to invent a murder out of thin air and that should be something we take into consideration. There's a big difference between something not being proven and something having been proven false. In the latter cases, they shoul…

What is your standard of evidence? I can work up a great shiner if I punch myself in the eye. Can even split my own lip if determined enough. Can do it while still in your car. Rip my top a bit, pop a jean button, carpet burn my thighs and bam! That consensual sex is now " demonstrably" rape. On the other hand, not all rape has such signs of violence - doesn't make the offender any less of a rapist. While I do agree with your general sentiment, in practice it is why the courts are imperfect when…

"Police will allege that on April 25, 2016, two women aged 58 and 29 forced two of the boys, who were aged four and seven at the time, to have sex with them. Police also accuse the 29-year-old woman of making the two boys have sex with each other that same day."

If you believe they are pigs you should not be asking for their help. A low opinion of cops normally comes from experience. Experience that teaches you that it's safer for everyone to avoid approaching them in any way.

If it's any consolation, with her fat face plastered all over the internet, she's never getting laid again.

Talk is cheap. Let's see them share some of their precious government funding to establish domestic violence shelters for men, run by men and then my cynicism might crack a bit.

If you try entering "dropping red pills" into Google, your bubble is going to burst in a big way. I suggest taking a Valium or two before hitting 'Enter' so the shock isn't too much for you. If you can get past that, try searching the same term right here on reddit.

You missed a left turn on the way to r/incels, mate.
/r/MensRights13/05/17 04:40 AM

Not in the way you might think. When all that fuss was going on about the alt-right taking over popular subreddits, they used the term 'dropping red pills' to mean leaving comments trying to win people over to their ideology. As far as I'm aware this has spread outside of reddit so that 'dropping red pills' now means leaving alt-right comments in any forum or comment section.

My husband knows I am interested in men's issues but he's never shown more than a passing interest. After watching it together he had tears in his eyes. Then he asked why there was all the banning and furore when the film was so tame. He tried posting on facebook about how people should see it and was torn to shreds by 'friends' who assumed 'red pill' meant r/redpill. They said how shocked they were to discover he was sexist, yet not one single commenter had actually seen the film. I felt bad fo…

This is hilarious because I am a woman. I also mentioned that fact several times but I guess the rage was blinding you a bit there. Thanks for validating my existence on the internet. It may well be women trying to tell me how I ought to behave as a woman. They are known for being pretty bitchy like that.
/r/MensRights12/05/17 03:14 AM

As I said in the thread, I've never been more proud of the amount of downvotes I got in one post. The funniest part being the white knights that apparently know more about how a woman should feel than I do. I guess I got a faulty vagina because I'm happy with equality.
/r/MensRights11/05/17 03:03 PM

It doesn't help relations at all - if anything it makes things much, much worse. Once upon a time I could be proud of myself for getting into programs on my own merits. The blokes would offer the same respect they give to anyone else because you're competent enough to have made it to their level the same way they did. Now it's often assumed you're only there due to the vagina quota and you have to work twice as hard to prove yourself. Good ol' feminism, setting women back decades in the workplac…

That's like saying that if you don't have a penis you have no right to make decisions about anything created by sperm.
/r/MensRights05/05/17 09:14 AM

How did she get the husband's DNA for these tests without his knowledge? In real life (unlike the movies) it's not like you can just take a few hairs from his razor or hairbrush. Isn't it usually a mouthswab? How the fuck would you dupe a guy with that? Yeah, I'm not buying it either. She may have mental problems that involve lying and attention-seeking but the rest of the story sounds like pure bullshit.

I had to assume this is catnip for feminists and the ads are targeted accordingly. Especially scrolling down to see, "It's time to talk about vaginal dryness." This explains a lot, I'd be cranky too.
/r/MensRights04/01/17 10:49 PM

Someone is telling me that there's a newscorp article saying the guy has charges pending. I can't find this anywhere. If someone can confirm whether such an article does or does not exist, that'd be great. Thanks!

Here that would not be a lawsuit. It would be prosecuted as a very clear cut crime due to the mandatory reporting laws.

There's a very real problem with the way we react to public female-on-male violence (I'm Aussie). I believe it is slowly changing but the reality right now is that people are very likely to intervene when the genders are switched but seem to not know how to react otherwise. Just today at a tram stop I heard a woman yelling and soon saw a couple arguing. It had come to a head when the woman said "That's it, if you won't apologise, I'm going!" She stormed off in the opposite direction. He meekly f…

Mark Latham is a known dickhead here in Oz, but that only makes the motives of the producers so much clearer. They've gotten Mark on there to make anything questioning feminism look nuts, but alas they also picked Van for 'team feminism' who was rude and abrasive to anyone and would barely let anyone else get a word in, quite literally making everything about her ("I am the discussion"). I'm not a huge fan of Miranda Devine but her and Rory were more rational and composed than the hosts, the scr…

I love you guys, I really do, but as a woman who's done serious prison time I can't pass by without saying: rape sucks for anyone, anywhere but in prison it's especially bleak regardless of gender.

Absolutely agreed - although, to be fair, I've only ever heard this from fathers self-describing their role. Whatever the reason for them doing so, I hope it dies out soon.

Given the ridiculous excuses that have worked for the phlegminists gagging speakers, I wonder if MRA's have ever considered their own 'no platform ' campaigns? Obviously it would be problematic when associated with Men's interest group's but framed as just concerned students do you think it could have an impact?

Funny thing - it didn't take long to realise that gaming is gaming and the only reason to even have a place called 'girl gamers' is to push an agenda that has nothing to do with gaming.

You can't have traditional courtship and feminism together. Equality is either equal or it's not. Women earn good money (the richest person in my country is a woman), have plenty of autonomy and demand respect. That is incompatible with treating a woman as a dependant that requires financing, the emotional coddling of a child and the belittling of everything their darling 'feminism' ever strived for. If a woman wants to be a Do Nothing Bitch, that's on her, but I'm sick of DNB's claiming to spea…

I love the line about how she 'joked' about contributing for gas. As if it should be obvious to the guy that of course she's not really going to pay her way. Everyone knows that's the man's job but I bet she'd throw a Lorena Bobbit if you suggested ANYTHING was a woman's responsibility.

What's the bet a bigger feminist from her little club was listening and contacted her to say, "Shut up, you're making us sound as stupid as we are."

Maybe our frequent use of the word 'cunt' renders us misogynist as a nation? It, sadly, wouldn't be the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

She can get up off her fat arse and work for a living. Nobody owes her a life of luxury. He, on the other hand, has to rely on others for the rest of his life just so as not to be sitting in a pool of his own shit. It's the UK, she's getting payments for the kid from the state. She doesn't deserve a fucking cent.

Yes, actually but that doesn't make turning Rosie Batty or Malala into your latest dartboards any less of a poor choice.
/r/MensRights14/07/15 09:53 AM

Tonight I found myself cynically having a go at Malala's 'peace prize'. But I said it to my bloke, in the privacy of my home, because when a little girl is shot in the face you're not going to be able to discuss that stuff critically with the wider world who don't know your background thinking (if any). Kids shouldn't be shot in the face and that's going to be the main takeaway for the average person. I'm seeing a bit of a saddening trend here with this kind of thing. This one's not so bad as yo…

Their sadism is severely fucked up regardless of the targets. In ISIS-controlled or besieged areas, men women and children are all having a shit time. It's nothing to do with equal opportunity for a beheading and everything to do with people who just want to see human suffering. I'd be very surprised if people here saw this as any kind of positive thing.
/r/MensRights02/07/15 03:42 PM

That's sad to hear. If that's the case these feminists have no shame at all. Unbelievable.

Have feminists picked up her case and ran with it? Because I've often heard her remark that domestic violence can happen to anyone. She mentions issues with violence towards women and children because that is her personal (and horrific ) experience. Obviously she wants government reform because more could have been done for her and her child's safety. I've never heard her trot out absurd feminist ideas. If it's in the video, please let me know where as it's 20min long.

One of the reasons they stopped having a carte blanche policy for babies in the women's prisons here (Australia). Women just couldn't stop using them as human shields. Really fucking horrifying thing to have to witness - both the danger and the level of crazy.

That's fine. I was only commenting on the petition. If it reads that I'm making negative implications about fathers or proposing a double standard, that was not my intention.

I'd be all for this if it was clear about the father deciding at the time of pregnancy or first knowledge. As it stands the petition is all-encompassing. I'm not so cool with the idea of someone playing Dad until they get bored or decide to walk out one day for whatever reason.

Being raped is not a way to become famous. It doesn't make you a rock star. It doesn't make you special. It destroys vital parts of your very self and is no trivial matter. She makes a mockery of the severity of the crime. She trivialises pain and trauma that has destroyed lives. Rape is not a fucking art project. At this point I hate her almost as much as my own rapists because she is helping people get away with it. She is perpetuating the fucked up mentality that if you were cheating on your …

As someone who has been raped (like, really), I would love to shove that mattress right down her lying throat. I wish feminists would drop their rape culture and come out and publicly say they will accept people into their little club without having to make up a rape story to fit in. It is further assault to people whose experiences are real. Lies like hers don't hurt the average men they so blindly hate - they hurt the women they're pretending to be, as well as every male who has to live with r…

I feel like it might have been better to end at that quote about nobody having a monopoly on the day. Maybe including the numbered parts as well. While the reasons for bringing up political ideas and opposition are clear, it's also kind of defensive and gives the reasons to steer clear of it to avoid controversy or appearing to take sides. Not that Google wouldn't research these things anyway, it just felt a bit cringey at points. Why say you're not about woman-bashing unless you acknowledge bei…

This is why the real issues of 'rape culture ' need to be addressed. The fact that feminism has created this bizarre, obsessive 'rape culture ' and young women, particularly in universities, appear to have driven this to the point where women need a rape story to fit in to 'feminism '. Don't have one? That's OK. Make one up. They've worked hard to make it so the truth is irrelevant.

I don't know about divorce but for Centrelink purposes and division of property if you die without a will, living with a person for long enough is basically the same as being married.

Indeed. Last week a friend of mine in a social work placement course was subjected to "All people who are feminists go to the front of the room, everyone else to the back." Then, after a lecture to the men about their 'gaze' and general identity as rapists or rape enablers, they had to write a short piece basically pledging allegiance to feminism. Many non and anti feminists went to the front because they knew the implied consequences of not toeing the line but their desire to help people in nee…

There you are putting words in my mouth, what a surprise. Everything is up for debate and criticism. I don't need to point out what I'm referring to if you're here in the thread and functionally literate. I'm not interested in supremacy for anyone. We don't all have to agree and women don't all have to think and act the way you would prefer them to. Some women don't want to pretend to be victims when they don't feel victimised. Maybe they think the people really suffering should get that attenti…

I'm a woman who doesn't need feminism and with the venom in the comments against a woman expressing her own opinion publicly, Reddit continues to remind me why today's "feminism" is so poisonous.

This is a bit silly. As a woman who has done her fair chunk of prison time I can tell you that most women avoid it because they sing the moment they're arrested so that whoever they're fucking usually does the time. If they've ever done that before they need to keep doing it to survive because, even in women's prison, nobody looks kindly on an informant. Stop fucking women with no honor and men can make the difference here.
