2	Everyone is already more selfish than you The thing is your post implies several times that only when there are built in, external, incentives do people help others. So my main point was that there is an already apparent benefit of helping others without expecting anything in return, or anyone knowing about it, and it's what it does at how you look at yourself. 30	Everyone is already more selfish than you Gonna get down voted to all hell but whatever. I simply do not agree. Most people who go around, going out of their way to be kind, particularly with the intent of not telling anyone what they've done, and expecting nothing in return, they do it because it is extremely rewarding on a personal level.
