Absolutely nothing. Because its not a game. The world is full of shitty people. And lots of people find happiness, success, and fulfilment without manipulation and lies. I can take them both, no skin off my back. Just don't expect to sell me your personal philosophy to justify being a shitty person. If you are an asshole why do care if other people think you are one?

I wouldn't go so far as to use absolutes. The very meaning of manipulation implies dishonesty; you cannot separate the two. What ends brought about by dishonesty could not be brought about through genuine caring about the needs and state of mind of your partner? Emotional manipulation is not a healthy basis for a relationship. Many more than "just one person" know this. If you can get past the part where he singles out this sub and actually evaluate what is said on an unbiased level, there is some good advice in there.
