I'm in a situation which is pretty much identical to this, and recently set up a second date. I, like you, left it a couple of days and then just texted her asking how she was and referencing back to a discussion we had on our previous date (as other commenter has said below). After a couple back and forth I asked if she was free the following week and fancied doing something. Carry on as you are but don't send loads of messages before asking her out again. Short and sweet.

Do guys really even do this? I've never seen or heard of anyone butting in a couple's conversation mid-date. I swear people just ask "worst case scenario" type questions for the fucking sake of it. I wouldn't be surprised if by "flirting" he means some guy she knows quickly said hi and they got caught up in a conversation.

This is so fucking true. There's always creepy guys walking around my college literally stalking and following girls begging for their number/bbm pin. Girls just do it to get rid of them and never talk to them again. You could get the hottest girl in the world's phone number and it wouldn't mean shit.

As grim as it sounds, outside the toilets is a great way to meet chicks at parties. It can show politeness and charm (if you are in a queue for a bathroom and you let them go ahead) and it's a great place to start up a conversation if you are both in a fixed position which you aren't going to suddenly move from.
