It’s never too late. Maybe try and meet some people at the gym, around where you live, or on campus if there are any events. You’re definitely in a tough spot, but there are many opportunities to network still. Friends are what you should be going for, keep an open mind. I get not wanting to smoke or drink until excess. You don’t have to do that to have a good time or keep girls around, they’ll do it anyways might as well have a light fun environment conducive to it if you’re out. It's an upperclassmen thing. Basically it's open to all juniors and seniors, and if you ask a sophomore they can attend. Thing is already asked this girl, and you can't exactly take it back. I used to play sports (track and football) but I had to stop because of my school and work, and frankly I wasn't good enough for it to be a priority. I actually find it easier now than ever. If you can talk and have charisma, as well as a nice physical appearance, you can pull just as easily as the starting quarterback. However, being on a sports team/being GOOD really can give you an advantage- to that there's no doubt.
