Haven't seen 'em mentioned so I'll put it out there, RSD Tyler's videos are great. Most of the RSD vids are solid, though some get a little ridiculous over time and seem more... salesy I guess? But Tyler's videos were like a Bible to me for a short time when I first discovered TRP.

How do you see this post as a destructive shitheap? Not trying to be argumentative, just legitimately asking since that's now how I interpreted the post.

Was about to comment the same thing, compliments galore when I use it.

The book No More Mr. Nice Guy might help. You can Google a pdf of it or actually buy the book on Amazon for like 10 bucks. It's a good read, especially if your problem is people pleasing.

Made my first real cold approach on Saturday night. It was awkward and didn't go anywhere but I finally broke through the approach anxiety I've had my whole life. Recently I've relied entirely on social circle game but after making that cold approach it sort of clicked for me, why do any of us give a fuck? Honestly it's funny to think about how awkward that approach was and how not into the girl was. I'm planning on more approaches this weekend when I go out and am proud that I actually walked u…

That was my goal, just wasn't sure if it was a decent way to deal with it. Thanks!

Planning on seeing more doctors about it soon, just figured I'd see if anyone has any ideas for what I could do in the meantime. I'll give cable flys a try this week and see how it goes, thanks.

Yeah, yeah. She's leaving in a couple months for school and then is moving back to her home state. We work in separate departments anyway.

Today I asked out a girl I work with for drinks tomorrow and she nearly screamed yes before I was even finished asking. Been getting lots of IOIs from her but couldn't break past the beta in me that kept saying "what if she says no" and all of that usual crap, today I just fucking asked her and have felt like a goddam superhero all day long. I've changed nearly every aspect of my life over the last few months and seen a world of change, but I still couldn't get past my approach anxiety to ask th…

I would add that 15 minutes a day is obviously a nice goal to shoot for, but if you've never tried meditation of any kind, it might just piss you off. When I started meditating three months ago I could hardly sit still and find any sort of "quietness" in my mind for even a couple of minutes, but I kept at it. Now I can easily meditate and really get into the zone for 10-15 minutes and am working toward 20 minute sessions. If you find meditation difficult don't hold yourself to a standard you can…

There's still an occasional twinge or annoying tingling but it's smaller areas of my leg that are affected and as long as I stay active and work on core strengthening and yoga it hardly ever happens. 6 months later I still can't get into any weightlifting yet but that should change by the end of the year.

I was terrified since I'd never had surgery before. There's definitely weakness in your core/back after. And you have to stay as active as possible to keep the scar tissue from attaching to the sciatic nerve and causing more pain again. But if you do everything to recover properly there's very little drawback IME so far. Overall if the bulges are causing any significant pain I'd opt for surgery, however if it's manageable do anything to let them heal naturally (ie yoga, chiro, light exercise, sw…

Two herniated discs in my low back. The lower herniation was the worst my doctor and chiro had ever seen in someone my age, the pressure on my sciatic nerve was so painful I couldn't even get out of bed for a week leading up to surgery and now I'm working out every day. I'd say it was effective haha rather expensive with a long road to recovery but worth it.

What are your overall thoughts on muay Thai? I was in BJJ before I had to have back surgery but once I'm back in that I've considered giving muay thai a shot to complement it.

23 here. I'm slowly getting back into the gym (had back surgery in December...its a long road to recovery) which right now mostly consists of body weight movements along with yoga and some very light kettlebell lifting. I'm also becoming a very active chess player, I read a lot, work on my writing (aspiring author) practice meditation and try to go out to the bar or socialize in some other way at least once a week. Like one of the other commenters said, most days feel like a grind; work out, sho…
