You have to hit the ground running and go out at least 3-5 times a week, and take lessons 2-4 times a week for about 6-7 months to get past that hump. I practice with the SO every now and then, and this Stacy woman I refer to, she and I have a great dance chemistry and I can sometimes explore new patterns with her. Once you get confidence, it comes with great responsibility too because folks will start to notice you and you’ll become a staple in whatever community you’re in. Probably 7/10 It took me a good year and a half to get to where I am today and listening to lots of bachata studying film and just practicing.
