Glad we agree, unless your hookup goes badly and you weren't clear with your intent then hooking up should grant you a lot of pre-selection. I dance because it is a ton of fun, getting lots of female attention is a nice byproduct.

or Blues dancing I find it really hard to believe that sleeping with one girl in the scene screws it up for the rest. I have a few friends in the Blues scene who have slept with over a dozen people inside the scene and I've even seen them get called out for it and use getting called out to pull a girl that night.

I hug anyone that is not a complete stranger. If a girl I know is standing next to some unknown girl I'll go over, hug and pickup the girl, and then introduce myself with a handshake to the other girl. If she does / says something of note I reward with a hug.

the above, just relax and have fun. focus on having a good night (where you don't get wasted, just buzzed) and the rest will happen. Also I bet there will be talking, people step outside for all sorts of reasons...

Focus on having a great time, having fun and creating random adventures and the opportunities shall present themselves. The more outcome (having sex) attached you are the less likely it is to happen. Right now I would focus more on making friends than anything else. Solid female friends will invite you to things and introduce you to their friends. If you're an outgoing sociable guy who is all about having fun then you'll have no issues.

You post was wonderful. Could you go into more detail about the different levels? I understand that it is varying levels of proximality but here on reddit the formatting from your article did not carry over to make it apparent. e.g. “That was a beautiful waltz.” “You looked beautiful out there on the dance floor.” “You look beautiful on the dance floor.” “You look beautiful tonight.” “You’re beautiful.” Those are the varying levels, correct?
