Just wanted to get some things off my shouldersAdding on to the college thing from my own personal experience: The community college thing is a great idea if you can't get any scholarships for a 4 year college. I know at least in my state if you start at a community college and transfer to a state university, you'll pay the same price as the community college. A couple problems are that not 100% of credits will transfer so that may make you end up sticking around for an extra semester to make up the missed classes. Also you need to keep an e… | /r/MensRights | 16/11/12 03:54 PM
Help! They're removing all male-oriented fitness equipment from the gym in my building! It does suck that it's part of what you pay to live there, but there are decent gyms with far better equipment for $10-20 a month (at least in my area.) I would ask to get some money discounted from your rent since it will no longer be usable for your needs. They may not allow that if everyone in the building pays it whether they use it or not but it's worth a try. I'm assuming you're not too tight on money since you mentioned buying a squat rack for the gym. If they won't give you a discount, y… | /r/MensRights | 15/11/12 11:09 PM
I recently received a letter regarding my "male privilege".if your native country is overtaken by another country and you don't give a shit then why should you be forced to fight to protect the country if you don't care? If the reason you don't give a shit is cause you hate the way your country is run, and you see the invaders as being a welcome change, then you'd consider them liberators, and why should you be forced to fight those that are "freeing" you from your shitty government. | /r/MensRights | 07/11/12 04:41 PM
Ohio girl suspended for long hair... oh, no, wait. Girls can have long hair. Ohio BOY suspended...yeah the part about not covering the eyes makes sense. If it's covering your eyes it's hard to see where you're going and accidents could happen. If it's covering your face it may be hard to identify you at a distance (same reason back at my high school they didn't allow hoods to be worn inside.) But the worst part is that they specifically say it can't be worn in a ponytail which would effectively fix both those problems. | /r/MensRights | 24/10/12 05:25 PM
Married mum, 32, had sex with brothers aged 15 and 17. Not jailed. This wasn't clear. It said she had sex with him at 15 "unknowing" of his age. Found out he was 15, continued having a sexual relationship with him. Then it says the relationship continued after he turned 16. Not knowing the time frame here it could have been 1 month or 6 months, it's not very clear. | /r/MensRights | 11/10/12 08:03 PM
Anyone here participating in Movember / No Shave November next month? Will you go the mustache route or full beard? Any women participating?I may try it this year. I hate shaving. | /r/MensRights | 10/10/12 06:56 PM
This is what we're up against.I don't even see how nerd is even an insult anymore. Maybe I've just grown out of it but I don't see it as an insult. Yes I'm a nerd, so what. | /r/MensRights | 09/10/12 12:10 PM
Middlesbrough man hounded despite being cleared of rapeI was thinking this as well. Is it not supposed to be "innocent until proven guilty"? But they often list the suspect's name, address and photo when they are accused of some crime. It has always bothered me because of things like in this story where he will become harassed to no end when he is found innocent. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/12 06:47 PM
Promotion stop for men at Siemens to achieve "voluntary" women quota: No promotions whatsoever for men working at Siemens. No matter how hard working, no matter how qualified. Until Siemens’ "voluntary" women quota of 20% is reached.I hate how they think that a policy like this will even out the number of men to women in engineering jobs. The problem is that women in general aren't interested or drawn to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields as much as men are. If women truly want to have a more equal distribution of engineering jobs they need to get more women interested in it. I have a BS in CIS and I can count on one hand the number of women in my class. Get girls interested in science and engine… | /r/MensRights | 01/10/12 12:16 PM
