She said She was done. We'd agreed years ago if something felt off for either of us, the relationship would end. So, we split. This will be the 3rd time. I won't attempt to fix it again. Will never get married again. Just waiting out the divorce stuff.

Agreed. Once my divorce stuff is done, I'll be single till I'm dead.

After everything that happened leading up to our last separation at the end of 2024. I'm really surprised I've not been served papers yet. We agreed that we were done with the relationship. Lots of things added up over the last few years. No cheating that I'm aware of, but there was a gradual lack of intimacy that ended with us having a dead bedroom those last couple years. Not fun. I was never ' right' about anything was another one. The last 18 months have been an interesting long back into ho…

Yup. I've spent a lot of the past year just thinking about that. Even when the intimacy was just ok, I went along with whatever she said.

I briefly tried the apps at the end of last year. Not a pleasant experience. While I miss having someone to chat with, I'm enjoying the peace I've acquired since the separation process happened. It's wild to me how much things changed over the years.

Nope. Never again. 13 years gone. Several separation agreement. Few times I thought the marriage was salvageable. I wanted to see it through. That's how I was raised. Don't quit. Work it out. The last one involved a lawyer. It felt different. Her tone shifted completely. She moved out. I'm currently waiting out paperwork stuff, but it's been about 18 months since she left.

I keep brief communication with my ex through my mom. She keeps the peace and messages going. Plus , she's happy to be a witness if things shift badly. Almost 13 years down the drain and 1 kid. Once she's 18, I'll probably cut contact with her mom for good. My kid will always have a way to chat with me though.

I briefly tried the apps last summer. Not a pleasant experience. I'll probably never have another serious relationship in my life. I'm oddly ok with that.

Several years into the marriage. One day I noticed she wasn't wearing hers. And she has a ring tattoo from her first marriage. So, I quit wearing mine. I'm really happy now, that I decided not to get a finger tat to show our relationship strength. It would have been a mistake.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
