We need a stable system for society to function long term. A system with an unstable birth rate wouldn't work long term. Prioritizing short term comfort at the expense of reproduction makes the system inherently unstable.

What is supposed to deliver then

If we consider how low the birth rate is, then it seems like the free market is unable to deliver

I think humans can create systems where forms of rape are more accepted or normalized. In history, it was very common for one group to conquer another and for the victors to take women as sex slaves. We can see that in the case of Genghis Khan, whose DNA is still found in a large portion of the population today. That can suggest that brutal and evil behavior like that can sometimes be more evolutionary advantageous, at least for the individual.

It's not women specifically. But generally I believe humans favor short term rewards. So having some restrictions can help

I don't believe women or men would be unhappy in these societies, and I don’t really see this as forcing anyone. It would obviously happen more naturally in real life, like we still see in some of the more conservative societies today. Maybe you personally wouldn’t be affected much by those laws, but generally, what we see today and in history is that the more restrictions we have around sexuality and marriage, the more people tend to get married. This system would be much more stable and secure…

then it would be true the other way around too. Women also provided things for their husband, usually not money, but they took care of the home and took care of the children, which does take a lot of work. What you're describing is just a relationship where the husband and wife take care of each other, it's not that they bought each other. It's that they have different responsibilities and take care of each other.

I think history can give us some insight into what would happen. Societies where marriage is tightly controlled and women have strong economic dependence on men usually have higher marriage rates. I would 100% support that. Obviously, there could be some exceptions when it comes to contraceptives. for me, I will probably never pursue higher education I didn’t even go to high school. I will likely stay in the Military for my working life

That's not buying someone. That's just someone taking care of there wife

I guess it depends on what time or society you are talking about. But if you go back 70-80 years 80% of men where married, and it wasn't because they bought them

IBanning premarital sex, abortions, and contraceptives, and restricting women from higher education, if we implemented that, society would balance itself out. My grandmother told me something similar, but she wasn’t very monogamous either and kind of purposely chose unstable men. But when I listen to my relatives who are more Christian and monogamous, they seem happier and less bitter with bigger families. It's true that it's not completely binery, but we do know that a lot of women are just sit…

I think many women would be happier in stable marriages with children than being used purely for sex. Human nature isn’t fully adjusted to modern society, which unfortunately requires a lot of self control from both sides.

Because people had a more equal shot at romance. Instead of some men having harems.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 05:57 PM

Enforced monogamy has been a thing in many societies
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 03:17 PM

If that's evolution, then so is creating systems where dating is equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 03:12 PM

From an evolutionary perspective, a large proportion of women are supposed to die in childbirth to weed out the weak, and men who are not selected resort to rape as a mating strategy, but it is all natural, so it is fine

Incels are not asking for harem like you suggest, we all just want a normal relationship.

Seems like a issue that women are all fucking men who don't care about their children.
