Thanks for the congrats. Appreciate it. That stuff is an intoxicating mirage. No more. For the gym, it's me up early doing body weight now. I know that's not sufficient and I really know that after watching a 5x5 routine. I was enthralled. I need to get there. For now though, I have no gym or even gym shoes. Will work towards that and get there. I am focusing on showing up everyday for my workout which I have never done before. Exercise feels good to me so far. Just getting up and doing somethin…

OYS #1 It would be best if I start logging my thoughts on my journey here. I started this journey once before but did not get involved with the community here. I think that hampered my progress before. Crushing it at work, honestly. Just got a promotion, another on the way, impressing important people, working on assertiveness, decision making and leading my Co-workers. Work gets the best of me and I would like to translate the principles I'm progressing there at home. Plus be in a place confide…

This made me feel like and idiot but thank you. That's hilarious. Never again...

Then I would have experience cooking as well and understand what work goes into it. Maybe even understand what it's like when someone makes a rude childish face at my cooked food. I could also teach once I knew what I was doing and enjoy showing her in a fun way. Your questions really poke at some good thought man.

I would like to think she's attracted to me, just not as much as she could be. The relationship dynamic definitely needs a change but I'm only at the beginning of this change. I do plan on reading MMSLP, it will be next on the list of reading. Focus for me for now is reading and internalizing what I learn.

This is great advice as well. It's not a big deal like this is painting well. Thank you.

Appreciate the question. Well I would tell her that I didn't like them without a shitty face or tone. I don't think that means I HAVE to eat them though if they were palatable, I would eat them. I don't really expect anything else to made instead though. It's already difficult enough to get dinner made even with me handling the kids. Which in hindsight may have contributed to the frustration with me...

I wasn't going to get into all that but I guess big picture is what matters. Currently reading Rationale Male (read before online I think), WISNIFG is on the way, NMNG is getting another read + application some point soon, read Iron John, and tried reading Zen & Art of Motorcycle Maintenance but it gets pretty smart on me. Started doing body weight at home. I know I need to lift! Working towards that but need to get some discipline down and some balls to go to the gym. Need to research social an…

Ouch! I need this though. You are totally right. I need to continue to work on my issues and not worry about small shit like this. I do have a lot of work to do. Thank you.

That's pretty funny. Will remember this kind of reaction.

Alright this was harsh but totally fair. I understand she is acting out because of me on a long term basis. I need to work on frame and DNGAF sure, but this is why I'm asking. I am not picking fights or being overly confrontational to suddenly show I have balls. That's what I did the last time and it really damaged our relationship. Fuck the mash potatoes, I was concerned with her behavior. Which doesn't matter until I have the behavior needed to lead her. Thank you for some harsh truths.

Yes! I'm going to keep it simple. It's not a big deal, but her reaction was. I'm not letting this turn into anything more. Thanks!

Thank you. This is pretty helpful. It was childish on my part. I definitely could have held my face and handled it like a grown man instead of a child. I have no problem telling her what I think about the food it just struck me by surprise so I made a face.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
