I actually like what's being said here, but for different reasons. A side benefit that's being ignored here is that it would weaken the double standard in the promiscuity debate. Men are seen as players b/c they have to initiate, risk rejection, carry the conversation, and pay for dates so if they succeed, it's seen as earned. Women are asking for the same respect but they're not even playing the same game men are. But if women initiate more, they're now also risking rejection, putting in effort…

There's another angle you're missing. The de facto way to date in 2024 is through dating apps but we all know how miserable that is. Cold approach is a way to stand out from the competition because nobody's doing it. The biggest value is that you're fishing where your competition isn't.

I've been thinking about using Instagram to document my kickboxing journey but I'm stuck on the part about providing value. So far I've just uploaded pictures that I had a buddy take of me in a boxing session. I guess as an offshoot of this I can post content of the kind of exercises and drills I did that day? Maybe even food photos of the things I eat to get in shape? A before picture of my body weight and fat percentage?

Hot/Cold, Push/pull, whatever you wanna call it, has always been a staple in seduction. We don't seem to have a problem with the pull part, as in proactively chasing, but when it comes to pushing, all of a sudden there's a voice in the background crying 'manipulation' and 'playing games'.
