I can't speak for MIT/Caltech specifically, but these types of test banks exist at top tier schools. Professors are lazy and will reuse tests from prior years, making them identical or nearly identical.

Kind of a red flag making a finance post and not knowing how tax brackets work. You're much better off putting that $1k from a random stock into your IRA and buying a target date fund or index fund than trying to pick an individual stock. Individual investors should not attempt to beat the market, there are professionals and computers that literally do this 24 hours a day as their job competing against you. You will not come out ahead unless by sheer luck. Good advice is to make sure you take ad…

I had the understanding that blacks in America tend to have a lower IQ than whites by around 10 points on average. That may be due to lack of education however, as that decreases IQ.

Trump has a different audience. If Bernie did what Trump does it would have turned out even worse. Bernie was fucked either way in that scenario, at least he avoided "Privileged old white politician silences black activists" headlines.

Insecurity wasn't the reason I was getting at. I think the lifestyle of working long hours with high stress is generally less attractive.

I think that's a factor (women usually enjoy jobs with more social interaction), but I think the bigger factor is that there's less salary pressure on women. In fact, a time intensive high salary job will usually make a woman less attractive. The salary gap seems to be a result of "female privilege" in that they don't have to go into a highly competitive high paying field to be a desirable mate.

I've read sex at dawn. It presents a very poor argument in my opinion. The entire book's premise is based upon mating strategy similarities between humans and bonobos, however the authors conveniently leaves out that humans are equally closely related to chimpanzees which have the exact opposite type of mating strategy to bonobos. It's much more likely humans are naturally somewhere in between polygamous and monogamous by nature. Not to mention that the book is written by a couple with very litt…

Even if you aren't making more money now, she needs to believe you will be making more in the future. With that said, I think the fact that she told you so plainly that she needs you to make more money before she'll have more sex with you is a red flag. Yes, women like winners but saying this flat out is rude.

The data does not show a decrease in oxytocin release with additional partners. I'll offer an alternative theory that seems much simpler and passes Occam's razor. We know the alpha widow phenomenon exists, where a high SMV male permanently raises a woman's own perceived SMV preferences in a mate. My theory is that the more men a woman has slept with, the more likely it is that each subsequent mate will be below her perceived relationship SMV threshold just due to statistics. The more guys she's …

Always check out glassdoor.com and read the interview questions for the same position. Interviewers don't have the time/don't give enough of a shit to come up with new interview questions for every candidate. Make sure you have great answers for previously asked questions and you'll be able to hit some out of the park.

I don't think he's referring to actual douchebags fratstars. He's referring to the nice guys who act super macho and broey in an insincere way to try and be what they think women want. It's like those autistic guys who "neg" women in forced ways that are totally inappropriate for the context. TRP is more about mindset informing behavior. These guys are forcing behaviors without the mindset.
/r/TheRedPill12/12/15 02:56 AM

Controversial, but I think TRP actually hurts more men than it helps. You need to come in with a certain perspective to absorb TRP in a healthy way. If you're too easily drawn in, you become the caricature try hard insecure macho "alpha", and if you're too much of a skeptic you blow it off and remain BP. This doesn't mean TRP should not exist, it's each persons responsibility to determine how they should act. What I'm saying is that there's a reason TRP gets such a bad name, and that's because i…

I think it depends if you come from an affluent area where there even are people with those types of families. There were some jocks in my high school who were also nerds who did great, but the average football jock is now a waiter or something in the same town they grew up in. I just don't see it.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that advice. She's not saying to not start a family, she's just telling women to stay in school instead of dropping out to be with their dead beat boyfriend.

Looking classy is good and all, but my advice would be to make sure the formality of what you're wearing fits the situation. Going to class, you don't want to be wearing a suit or a dress shirt and tie everyday or you're going to become that guy. An extreme example is the fedora guys, who wear a formal hat all the time because they think it's "classy".

Careful wearing a dress shirt. Typically something more casual like an oxford or casual collared shirt looks more normal on a college campus.

The same mentality can be applied to competition. The old saying goes, "To win is to teach, to lose is to learn.", and it's an essential mindset to have if you want to improve in any sort of competitive activity.

Almost every fortune 500 tech company has a 3.0 cutoff for entry level positions in my experience.

Another tip. Buy modafinil for studying. If you can't get it, get adrafinil. It's a legal substitute that metabolizes into modafinil. Take adrafinil ideally on an empty stomach. Also buy caffeine and theanine pills. Take them in a 1:2 ratio. Buy phenibut. Great for networking and job fairs, gives you the social lubricant like alcohol without the motor control impairment. Be careful with the dosage and dependency, do your research.

I think there's a big differentiation between being shorter than a woman and being objectively short. If a man is 5'5 but the woman is 5'2 it's a much lesser disadvantage than if the woman was 5'7. From my observation, almost all women strongly dislike men who are shorter than them, whereas only some women care a lot about height as long as the man is taller than them.

/r/TheRedPill27/07/15 02:03 AM

Not exactly. The unique value of TRP is that it delves deeply into the theory behind social dynamics and the sexual marketplace. I'd argue PUA is more similar to engineering, whereas TRP is physics. Traditional PUA teaches what (routines, techniques, lines), but not why. We explain why, but leave it to the individual to choose how to use their knowledge. We care about the why, but only when what (the action/strategy) we are discussing has some basis in reality. Discussions revolving around why b…

Don't think of style as just a way to boost SMV. It's an understanding of how to visually alter how others perceive you.
/r/TheRedPill23/07/15 09:26 AM
1

Explain the theory behind why taking an action will be beneficial. For example, instead of telling people to get control of their lives and hit the gym, explain that SMV is related to outward appearance, how working out cultivates discipline and why discipline is a good trait to have for achieving certain goals in life, etc. From that understanding, they will have the opportunity to make an informed decision regarding what action they want to take.

The mod team here is fantastic. This sub could so easily go the route of seddit, but you all do a tremendous job. TRP is unique because it discusses theories to explain human behavior, which then gives people a foundation of understanding from which proper actions will naturally arise. /r/TheRedPill20/07/15 02:27 PM

That's a meaningless saying that does or does not apply depending on the context. If you want to study hard to get good grades but you do not, you're cheating yourself. If you want to eat a bucket of ice cream but do not, you just have discipline.

Sex at Dawn is a biased source. Look up the authors, these are not professional biologists. They're a husband and wife who are English majors and Psychologists/psychiatrists. They likely live a lifestyle similar to what the book argues is natural. The book's argument is based on the notion that human behavior follows that of bonobos because of how closely related we are. It argues that we're naturally polygamous. However, it neglects to mention that chimpanzees are just as closely related to hum…

I think you have to factor in that women do not have the same motivation toward achievement as men. A man's SMV is directly correlated to his earning potential/achievement, whereas a woman's is tied to her appearance and disposition. Why bust your ass when you can enjoy life and just be pretty?

Women are more valuable than most men. It goes back to the success of a group. The amount of women in a group determines how quickly a group can increase in size. If you are in a war and you lose almost all of your men, you can recover in a single generation. Lose all your women, and you're finished.

All the discipline in the world won't save you from injuries. While lifting, fixing your posture and form is even more important than making gains, imo. If you have faulty movement patterns caused by bad posture, eventually you're going to hurt something.

The 1 in 4 statistic being wrong is not some sort of fringe belief only found on TRP. You can read the study yourself, they're counting any sexual encounter while drinking alcohol or doing any drug as rape because consent cannot be given. Also, the questions were not framed as "were you raped", but more like " did you ever drink and participate in sexual activity".

The truth is, there is a spectrum. Almost all people are not 100% masculine hypermasculine people or 100% feminine hyperfeminine people, and it is related to their levels of male and female sex hormones. I think a better route would be to trivialize the sex/use some feminist sexual freedom rhetoric to appease the hamster, then do a freeze out to show abundance.

This is silly. Who cares? The whole premise of the issue is silly. Transgendered people are not normal and never will be. They are mentally ill, it's called gender dysphoria. Let Caitlyn Jenner do what he wants and die happy. I couldn't care less.

Youre right, facial aesthetics help a lot. However, excluding outliers who are horribly and exceptionally ugly, most men can go from below average to attractive through working out, a good haircut, good fashion, grooming, and high status.

Depends how you determine value. If we're talking about market value, the average man's commitment is worth very little.

You're saying rich guys get laid more because many rich guys have money and are in great shape? I think the point here is that your status/drive and your body is doing the attraction, not the dollar amount. Having money alone doesn't attract women, it's only when you use it to command power or status.

Honestly, this guy has some questionable fashion sense and you'd be better suited sticking to malefashionadvice. With that being said, he's got solid grooming tips. I've never seen this guy discussed in a positive light over at malefashionadvice, for the record. Usually his sense of style is mocked. And I've been a subscriber there for over 3 years.

Why are you so concerned over one girl that you had to make an entire post about it? It's one girl. If you go to a large university, you're seeing hot girls everywhere you go. On top of that you have multiple plates. You should have fucked her sooner or invested less time. Don't invest time in a girl you haven't even fucked or she ends up fucking Chad after 1 hour when you've been talking to her for a month. Hard next her. My bet is you end up fucking her within a year, but if not, who cares.

TRP is not a movement or a single ideology, it's just a discussion forum. As far as I'm concerned, the more people discrediting TRP the better. If TRP was mainstream, RP knowledge would no longer be advantageous. I have a feeling that Roosh is just remarketing himself after being destroyed on the Dr Oz show. He realizes he needs to tone himself down in order to appeal to a wider viewership. Similar to Mark Manson.

Height isn't as much of a factor as you say, ime. Even facial aesthetics are a bigger factor assuming you're not shorter than the girl. Most girls aren't going to take a 4/10 facial aesthetics 6'3" guy over the 7/10 facial aesthetics 5'6" guy ime. Even then, being well dressed/groomed, muscular, and having solid game are way more important than either of those things. Not sure what the point of this thread is if all you're saying is "you're fucked if you're short."

Teasing/Calling her out on it to show you know what she's doing is good, trying to prove to her that you're right and she's wrong is counterproductive. You want to show that you "get it".

Growing up in this society, a BP mindset is the default. Most men do not grow up with the male role models they need to adopt the RP mentality. RP is definitely the exception in my experience.

Understand that your anger does not come from woman themselves, but your misconceptions about women. It is not women you do not like, it is the fact that your expectations do not match up with reality. RSD Tyler has a great video on a similar topic, but from a woman's perspective. In the video, he talks about beta male shaming and the double standard between the "lover" AF and the beta male. The reason a beta male is shamed if he tries to act a certain way, but the alpha is not, is because his a…

I think the key is not childish humor, but child-like mentality. Not immature, but childlike. Spontaneous, creative, fun, exciting. Pook has a great article about this. About childhood, when every man knows exactly how to interact with girls. Think back to the playground. You would find cat poop in the sandbox and throw it at girls. You'd run up, tag them, and make them chase you. You'd find a bug and throw it at them. You'd tell them they have cooties. They loved it. When you're a little kid, a…

Alpha and sigma are flawed when assuming alpha always refers to the guy that's the life of the party. I think that misses the point. Not every extreme extrovert is alpha, and not every extreme introvert is beta. I think Pook's definition is interesting because it's so elegant. I also think his definition of the Don Juan refers to something slightly different than "alpha". Pook talks about three categories of men: The nice guy, afraid of his masculinity. The jerk, consumed by his masculinity. The…

Scary fact. Perfect use of the pull out method (peed between sex and last ejaculation, pull out before ejaculation) actually has a similar chance of failure to condom use. Check Wikipedia for a fact check on that one. Still easy to fuck up and not recommended, but just a reminder that condoms aren't infallible. Always check for breaks.

I think moral behavior is commendable, respectable, and extremely important for society to function properly. With that said, adhering strictly to moral behavior is an example of a captured agent. Your behavior is serving the good of society and the community at the possible sacrifice of the individual. The definition of Alpha is really irrelevant to the individual who wishes to maximize his fulfillment. If he wishes to be a beacon of righteousness and that fulfills him, he may do so, being fulf…

I agree there's no reason to apply morality consistently in all situations. Being moral and honorable at all times is a hindrance. It severely limits the options available to you. You just have to realize you're being immoral and accept that fact, not rationalize it away. For example, I would never act immorally towards my close friends because I care for and respect them. However, if I'm in a business negotiation I'm not going to avoid making unfalsifiable bluffs in order to close a deal becaus…
