Facial attractiveness is important. Body type and fitness. Style. Any of the many talents or skills that people value outside of wealth? Intelligence? God forbid a decent disposition or personality. In general, people match up with people of comparable attractiveness. Considering that he is complaining about the lack of women meeting his equivalent top 1% value, is it possible that someone is evaluating themselves incorrectly?

Man here. I care about wealth, or more specifically, a woman with a career who is financially stable. I also prefer college educated. Servant? Hard pass. I’m an adult, I can take care of myself. If I want someone to serve me I’ll hit up a restaurant or pay for a maid. A mutual partnership with someone I respect? That’s more my speed, but I must be crazy (considering you know so much about what all men want).

It couldn’t be his personality or wits, could it? Of course, being tall doesn’t preclude ugly. You can be tall AND ugly.

I’m under 35. Make nearly $200k annually, not including equity. In shape. Considered handsome. Average height. Never had dating difficulties. When I made <$70k, my dating prospects weren’t any different, and I haven’t changed much physically.

Appreciate it. Honestly - just regular workout routines, don’t over eat, use moisturizer/sunscreen, and get enough sleep. Easier said than done for a lot of people, and even I fall off from time to time. And you’re probably right, on average most people don’t keep up with their health as they age.

30 isn’t even that old if you led a healthy lifestyle. I look like I’m 25 and still have abs. I can still pull 20 year olds - I just have no interest in chasing women with that age gap.

Yea - a lot of guys on here want to idolize the 60’s and old school gender roles. This mindset is more prevalent in conservative areas. Single income is much harder to support a household these days, and having two successful partners is a win win in my books. Easier to save, build wealth, and a family. Inflation has outpaced wages for a bit. Frankly, if my partner makes more than me, I wouldn’t give a damn. It’s another plus. More money for us. My masculinity isn’t so fragile and dependent on m…

Depends - if you’re not unattractive facially, can make a big difference. You don’t have to be ripped, but if you’re lean and have some definition you’re going to be on average more attractive. And if you’ve got a ugly mug, it’s still better to be ugly and fit than both ugly and fat.

It all seems like insecurity- they’re not able to easily have casual relationships. When dating, if the woman has prior sexual experience, they fear they won’t measure up. Need to find a women that doesn’t have enough experience to compare unfavorably against.

Third world countries typically have much higher birth rates. Why? Because in developed countries cost of living is exponentially higher, and chid rearing costs can be prohibitive. In third world countries children provide additional support around the home / farm, and are not a significant economic detriment. Your logic is off base.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/21 08:35 PM

I’m 30 and more attractive now than 21. Of course, I’ve been fairly attractive for some time. I’m mistaken for 24-26 all the time, but I take care of myself. I’m in better shape than most 21 year olds, and have a a full head of hair. Mileage may vary. I have plenty of 18-22 year olds interested in me on tinder.

Excuse me? Studies have shown that having a wider shoulder to waist ratio as one of the most attractive traits a man can have. Sure, some of it is bone structure, but adding muscle and definition (within reason) is definitely attractive. Attraction is multifaceted. A fit/strong handsome man is more attractive than an overweight or twiggy handsome man to most women. Strength isn’t the only factor, but being muscular doesn’t automatically offset the importance of facial structure. Sure. But it’s b…

I’ve never cheated in a committed relationship. It’s not for lack of options. When single, I can’t keep up with potential partners. I value aspects of a committed relationship more than sexual variety. I’ve been with countless attractive woman. Finding someone I actually connect with on multiple levels is rare, and that is preferable to a litany of hookups.

As an average. Wealthier urban areas are not. Also, labeling either Baltimore or DC as “southern” cities is a stretch. Culturally they are different than Atlanta or the like. DC also ranks within the top ten fittest cities. The Deep South has the highest obesity rates - think Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi.

Being short is an obstacle, there’s no denying that. 5’6 and under is life on hard mode. Dating isn’t charity. Everyone is trying to get the best partner they can get, and you need to maximize your chances by investing in yourself. Life isn’t fair.... but you need to be someone that someone would want to date. Have interests and hobbies. Workout. Be ambitious. Present well. Don’t be a jaded ass. You may not land models, but I’m sure you’d be able to find a good partner.

The dollar has been fiat for years. The US is still the largest economy in the world - the dollar isn’t going to collapse over night. Our frivolous spending has to be stopped, but if you’re concerned about increasing debt ceilings, thank our latest president for the largest budget deficit during a time of economic growth. The stimulus was largely successful, and can you please point to the hyper inflation associated with that bill? What has the inflation rate been the last few years? It’s also e…

Or don’t invest in cryptocurrency...especially over unwarranted fear. For one, it’s not a few trillion dollars. Roughly, 1.3 trillion. Most proposals plan to scale the payback so it’s not an immediate trillion plus write off. Not to mention, the amount of debt relieved will be tied to current earnings: it’s not a 100% write off. Did the dollar completely collapse during the 2008 recession? Did it completely collapse after the nearly trillion dollar economic stimulus package? Did it collapse afte…

Basically, I’ve decided to follow a worldview that is unpopular, and now I’m upset because people don’t agree with me. Everything is made up. Society is a bunch of social conventions to help us get along. For one, the Red Pill is a lot of psuedo science and dogma that helps socially awkward men get laid. Can you provide studies or research that indicates this? Because if it’s based upon your feelings and an opinion, I couldn’t give a damn about it. There probably is a little selection bias at play here...being especially tall likely attracts more woman that prefer tall men - or filter for that trait. Being tall can definitely be an asset, but there are diminishing returns when you get over a certain height. It doesn't impact my attraction to my partner. My partners have never expressed that my height is a turn off, but I'm sure they wouldn't have been upset if I were a few inches taller. The problem in communicating these terms is that both sides have a completely different understanding of these terms. Conversation breaks down because each side is arguing against these ideas from their experience. An example would be the word "Socialism". A conservative's definition of the term is entirely different than a liberal's definition. To have these discussions, it's important to frame the subject in terms that the other party can understand. Otherwise, you end up arguing about two ent…

Yes. Easily. But my partners are also attractive so it’s a net wash. We’d both know we could cheat if we so desired. Neither of us would flaunt that because we don’t have toxic relationships. I also select for partners who feel as if they’re not settling on me. Since we both feel like we’re getting a good deal, dread is counter productive.

Women don't date assholes because they're assholes. Women date attractive men. Attractive men have an abundance of choices, and therefore, are less likely to put women on a pedestal. They come off as less needy, which in turn is a desirable trait. It's also scarcity economics. People value things that seem unattainable more, whether they have actual increased value or not. They've also done studies on unpredictable rewards. When knowledge that a certain behavior always elicits an expected respon…

I never implied that women like that are the sole reason men turn to MGTOW. It’s just an example that affirms “female hypergamy”. A lot of TRP and MGTOW are former “nice guys” who were hurt or unsuccessful with women (for whatever reason). Often times it is their fault. They may have unrealistic expectations themselves. No one is blameless, but someone objectively unattractive is likely more successful than them. That breeds resentment. I appreciate your concern. However, I’m not a sob story. I …

It’s a matter of hypocrisy. She’s entitled to write whatever she wants, but being so openly shallow, she’s bound to be judged. You cannot force anyone to behave in any manner. You can merely have your own boundaries, and if others do not follow them, you have the option to leave. Is it forcing someone to be monogamous if you are willing to breakup with them over infidelity? People rush into things without determining long term compatibility. I think each individual should openly discuss their deal breakers from the onset to determine if they're compatible. Otherwise you run into issues. It's not forcing someone to do so…

There is a lot of science behind this. There are plenty of scholars who believe we have the illusion of free will. Our brains are essentially very sophisticated computers.
