Thanks, but not hopeful. My life is terrible now. Looking for transfers, etc. Nothing out there. Can't just walk out. Too much of a loss to retirement income. Once in the system it's too hard to get out.

The pendulum has swung so far out of whack. I only see women getting the jobs and the power now - regardless of how qualified they are. Then they keep perpetuating it.

So hard to prove, get any lawyer to take the case (unless you pay big bucks up front), and most likely won't get enough $ to make it worth it. I know, I'm in a similar situation.

I was told that management has an absolute right to mismanage. Being made whole would mean a promotion now and back pay (difference in salary loss), which wouldn't be more than several thousand dollars. The longer it goes on, the more it would be worth. I also have to prove additional damages. They can be compiled, but people are reluctant to go on the record when they are afraid of reprisals.

They are not fixing my issue - they expect me to fix the problems caused by the lack of knowledge in the group I was responsible for and only fix things after there is a complaint.

You're either smokin bad crack or drinking their kool aid, cause you seem to be buying it. I've been fighting the VA for over 20 years for benefits. You gonna blame a bad economy for the last 20 years? And great job? How about just doin their job? So in fact, no, "we" aren't taking care of our veterans. Wanna guess how many of us commit suicide every hour? VA has some numbers, but not enough programs or support to help stop it, let alone slow it down. So do some research before speaking on this …

If you live in the "vet friendly" state of NY you'd be sooo proud. Every time I hear the politicians talk about new job growth and small business opportunities and how we're putting people back to work, I vomit a little bit more.
