I'm around your same age and can understand how you feel. Although on my end, I haven't reached a place (in my personal opinion) emotionally or financially where I could have a relationship I truly want. I would say all of my past relationships failed due in part to ignoring these inadequacies, and that's where I feel despair. So I'm putting a large amount of my waking energy into fixing this. I'm trying harder these days to be a part of my surrounding community through my work and through my ho…

Tell me exactly what is vague or "woowoo" about being confident in one's self. Did you know that women do not give a shit if you work out "for yourself" or "to attract more women?" I think I agree with this thought more than any other post here. And from what I see in my life each day, the relationships I see working out for the best are between people with common goals and interests.

What I find the most jarring about these kinds of posts is that they speak of women (and people in general) in caricatures. All I get from this post is that a lot of these guys spend way too much time on the internet. Attraction and materials do matter to get into and maintain relationships, this is true. But a lot of what makes relationships good are very specific to the people in them.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
