11	Cold approached for a few days. Need help As a woman, maybe the cold approach when walking is not a good idea. If I was just walking wearing headphones (a clear indicator that I don't want to engage in conversation) and a random person went out of their way to talk to me, even if they were going on the opposite direction, I would be immediately on the defensive, especially if this random person started asking really personal questions like what I do for work or where I am headed.
