above anything, Thai people lie a lot. It's called "greenjai". They value not losing face over the truth. If you ask a thai for directions, a thai will rarely say "I don't know." they would much rather give you bullshit directions that they made up so they don't look stupid. My mum has done this and she has done it in the worst situations ever like court rooms, to police etc. Thai women suck
