| 6 | Are stressful but exciting careers worth it? Older career guys wisdom requestedI saw something interesting from Tim Ferriss recently that made me contextualize the different types of Career A people I've met. These people have more balance in their life. The CEO of Goldman Sachs is a DJ on the… | /r/askTRP | 02/05/19 02:50 AM |
| 3 | Should I start drinking and smoking weed?I'm about to graduate so I can shed some light here. I wouldn't do it if you don't need to. I'll caveat it like this. I have two friends who've never had alcohol, weed, etc. and they are awesome. Everyone loves them and wants to be friends with them. | 1 | Need advice on completing my life - 20yI don't want to be too specific as the finance world is pretty small, but there a few jobs that pay like this. Investment Banking: Three firms pay 95 base + 25 signing bonus + 85 year-end bonus The bonus isn't really performance-based, it's a fixed part of the salary effectively for junior people. There's one firm that pays a 50K signing bonus + 85 base + 85 year-end bonus "Buy-side": At my school there are several direct to private equity or hedge fund jobs that pay close to 200 as well after b… | /r/askTRP | 05/12/17 02:49 AM |
| 1 | Need advice on completing my life - 20yI guess when I do go to the gym, my routine is 30 min of cardio and 30 min of hitting the bench. I'm really just trying to slim up, don't care as much about putting on muscle. General activity: I'm not that active, but I end up walking about 30-45 min a day to go to campus and back home, sometimes multiple times if I need to go home in the middle of the day. Again, not really a great example of physical activity. Diet: I've essentially cut out most junk food. I'll have an occasional diet soda, b… | /r/askTRP | 04/12/17 02:52 AM |
