Post up at a dive bar, sit at the bar and after a bit, engage with the bartender/people around you. They’re typically over 50s and lonely. It’s a situation where you automatically add value, making it a great place to practice and improve your confidence with older people. Talk slow, and listen when they start a story, ask about the story afterwards (and as someone else said; they want to make you laugh), then drop a short story of your own if you’ve got one relevant. Old people communicate diff…

Dude I’ve managed to get myself into a similar situation minus taking the night job, keeping all this shit to yourself is tough on a guy no matter how strong your frame is. I couldn’t imagine adding to my life loneliness and lack of sunlight that a night job, on top of it all. Take a hard step back from that. Maybe start dropping that you have small investments that you manage and if you get to the point where you want to spend some money or stop fucking working so hard you can fall back on that…

I agree with you but I know the argument is going to be that it encourages the poor to get sterilized which isn’t “equality”.

I had a speech impediment growing up. Here’s how I dealt with it: While speech therapy helped a lot, it still comes out occasionally (drinking doesn’t help) if you’re chatting to a cute girl and it makes an appearance, MENTION IT. If you bring it up before she does, you own it. I always say something like “there’s that old speech impediment again” this leads to talking about how you were a cute kid with a lisp/stutter/speech impediment and chicks eat that up, kino through your cute kid story and…

This is what I have been doing mostly. I had one girl get back to me and say “you better not leave that as R” (read imagined). Think I replied “wouldn’t dream of it” and left it at that but fuck I feel autistic at texting.

Some relevant notes from The Rational Male (if you haven't read it, READ IT). These should help in a pinch: -a man is as confident and valuable as his options, if one prospect does not expand, others very well may -some plates fall off to be replaced by new plates. You must be willing and confident enough to let them fall -never tell a woman you're spinning plates, let her discover this by your behaviours and availability to her -Women should only ever be a compliment to a mans life, never the f…

Violence is a slippery slope and "learn mma" isn't helpful. If someone is actually trying to start shit say "this isn't the playground you fucking child, touch me and you'll be charged with assault." Make sure to talk down to him like a child out of line. As soon as you're done talking turn back to the chick. Edit: a word

Dude you sound autistic, stop over thinking it and focus on enjoying what you do. Emphasize on the aspects of the aspects of the course that YOU enjoy, people pick up on that enthusiasm, let it carry over to them. In my experience the best teachers I've ever had are the ones who enjoy the subject matter and enjoy teaching others. Sounds like you have a positive attitude and care enough to make this post. You're on the right track, good luck.

Most of posts here are great advice, I just want to stress some things that have been mentioned: Myfitnesspal at 1500 calories (this will be your best friend) a bit of walking every day (if you experience leg pain take a day off, don't hurt yourself) don't quit gaming, especially if it's something that makes you happy, eventually you can use it as a reward system for your success (that's what I do) Good luck, PM me if you're struggling at all in your journey.

Religion has roots in meditation and can teach discipline but I find Stoicism to be a reliable alternative because it teaches you to be a self contained unit whereas religion can be more of a crutch in this case.

If you're going for ice cream take her to a bar after or if she's too young for that (donno where you live) then take that ice cream for a walk in the park. Don't just sit across from her and eat it like a boring person. Escalate while walking/sit down at the park for a bit eventually say "I'm goin back to my place for a drink, wanna tag along?" Edit: keep it simple and be confident. Remind yourself that she said yes to the date after all

Expensive as hell, true. If there's something you're interested in to be offered at school then it's a win win. Otherwise probably not worth it unless you've got the money.

Never too late to learn shit about ourselves. I bring six assorted beer to a party and once they're gone and I'm not pulling, I head on home. Number of drinks/type of drink may vary person to person but it's an alright principle if you've a habit of one drink too many.

If your in a big city sign up for a course or two at a college/uni. If not hit up a community college. At the bed of the day there's always tinder but be warned if your not in the top 1% it's a massive waste of time.

Carelessness and too much alcohol are the problem here. Women look to each other for validation too and you embarrassed her in front of her biggest female validator. Go no contact if you don't care about your possessions. Say "sure" if you do, otherwise leave it at that.

EVEN IF you're gaming college/uni girls, make sexist/racist comments and look at them with an evil grin. They eat that shit up because: A, you're on their level because you know what's acceptable and isn't. B, you don't give a fuck. Practice this and your filter will disappear completely.

I agree with this. Often you can literally see a girls eyes light up when you talk about financial/career ambition. Stuff like this helps them build a comfortable fairytale in their heads and keeps questions like the one OP faced away.

I read Mansons bit on emotional vulnerability as "be genuine" and not "over reveal". Over revealing is the worst thing you can do, but when you do speak be genuine. People can tell when you're just regurgitating something you heard or speaking about something because it's "cool" and not because you're passionate about it.

Advice for being nervous: excitement and nervousness are two sides of the same coin, train your brain to say "I'm excited". Over time you'll start to rationalize that nervous feeling in a positive way.

"Spew my mundane stupid life at someone for validation." THIS is 100% the problem. Its a societal problem to the extent that Snapchat is a thing. No one really cares, it's just a validation circle jerk. The only real validation comes from within. It's like any bad habit, you just gotta break it: Three days makes a habit. Three weeks makes a routine. Three months makes a lifestyle. EDIT: OP you're feeling alone because you've got no one to dump this habit on, not because you've lost her specifica…

I found TRP at 22 and I'm 24 now, Here's how I rationalized the regret of NOT FINDING TRP SOONER: Its a double edged sword. You've swallowed enough RP values to you know the kind of life you want and recognize your past wasn't productive (GREAT). But you waste time whenever you dwell on the time you wasted. Don't waste any more, you have work to do. Look at it this way, every time you dwell on that unproductive guy you used to be, you might as well be him again because you're just wasting more t…

Last few minutes of every shower I crank it to cold. Start with 30-60 seconds and slowly build up. Hot water relaxes you, cold water energizes you so the whole process is great for a second wind. Started after reading about a study done in Sweden, will post link when I get home.
