It's always about establishing a line of contact or opening up the floor for me to ask for her deets. Often they'll just make conversation (but I can't always determine interest from that). I was misrepresenting it I realize, bc no one has come up to me like "hi, what's your snap?" that I can remember. At least they made brief small talk and then asked.
