You misunderstand the point. Jesus can forgive any sin. But don't plan to sin then say "oh Jesus will just save me later." The question I posed earlier is still relevant? Have you put your trust in Christ to save you from your sin? Are you a believer or non-believer?
/r/askRPC07/04/21 08:17 AM
1

More detail will get you a better response. If you give no detail then the answer is a simple yes, you will go to hell for sin, even if that sin is divorce.
/r/askRPC07/04/21 08:15 AM
2

Yes, you will go to hell for sinning. It doesn't matter the sin, so divorce will do it. The question then becomes have you repented? Have you put your faith in Christ? Is he your Lord? Are you following him? Are you contemplating getting divorced and are looking for some assurance it is okay to do so? or is this idle speculation? What I mean to say is why ask the question? The reason will be more informative than the question itself.

Your words do not mean very much here. Just because you "pwwwomise" to be in your best behavior doesn't mean you're not gonna pull all the same crap you did last time. You should have instead ACTED properly instead of seeking approval, which you're NOT gonna get.

For finding good disciples we use the acronym FAST: Faithful Available Saved Teachable If the person doesn't meet these qualifications then your ability to disciple them will become much more difficult. I suspect that these people would not meet all 4 criteria. What does your discipleship process look like? This may also affect your results.

I was browsing r/Christianmarriage and I mentioned that I was saving myself for marriage and that I wanted a wife who shared those values with me. Immediately, I was attacked as judgmental, misogynistic, selfish, and even an untrue Christian. Having premarital sex partners is directly linked to divorce rates, unhappy marriages, and unstable households so what’s wrong with wanting the best for myself and my family when the Bible specifically states that there are earthly consequences for our sin?…

Yes it is a sin. Though if you're asking the question you're already starting on shaky ground. Here is what you need to do: Get mission. Practice 7 basics. Lift. STFU. Read. Practice. Then when in your mission and you're attractive find a girl. It's not an easy process especially if you're a chump.

1) eliminate your "should, have to" obligation type mindset. Using these statements to try to motivate yourself is fundamentally operating outside of your own frame. When you start using "want to" instead of "have to" motivation starts flowing. 2) compile a list of benefits, goals, practical benefits of lifting (there are many for each category). 3) look at lifters and how built their bodies are, how disciplined and technically they approach lifting. The type of competence displayed by these guy…

The analogy is a good one. To expand on this, I think that the way this looks like practically after Christ is they end up finding other stuff to do. 1) they don't want to use drugs but they still have those bodily inclinations to do so. 2) they find new ways to become contextualize themselves. What I mean is they have different friends, they start doing new hobbies, that get a new job. 3) they end up finding a new purpose to their life which gives them value and meaning. So there is one aspect …

Here are my thoughts: In Romans 6, Paul is answering the question about whether it is fine to keep on sinning in order to increase the amount of grace on our lives (6:1). His response is to ask how we who have died to sin could still live in it – he explains that those who have been baptized into Christ have been baptized into his death (6:2-3). This was done so we could be joined to Christ and walk in a new life (6:4). Paul essentially says that it doesn’t make sense to sin as if it was alive a…

Alright here are some of my thoughts as I read through this. The gospel is free, ministry has a cost. True. There is a cost. Does there have to be? What is the cost? Where is the money going? Is there a way to minimize costs but still allow for maximization of disciple-making? When I give my money where is it going? We [this church]don't have a number goal, we have a heart goal. How do you measure a heart goal? With feelings? With numbers? Seems like a "nice" euphemism for we need more money, an…

Thanks for the reply. But what about character? You're right. This is something that is not included in my mission and I have not recently thought about developing any of the fruit of the Spirit. That's a good word to describe it, idyllic. I agree that Fr. Chad has a very idealistic view of masculinity. One that seems impractical and probably unhelpful. I think it is especially true when he discusses sacrifice of one's own will to that of God. It reminded me of how you talked about how God changes our hearts and wills to become the same as God's will. Ripperger takes a different view where your frame and will is different from God's and you must sacrifice this. I tend to think what you'v…

You've got to cultivate that BDE - taking all of that energy and channeling it into different outlets. Yes, but these are unbiblical for the most part except maybe the last one. On the post you referenced, this comment and the ones below it delve into this to expand and clarify how to separate the two. Thanks for both references to developing a mission. Are you going to live life, or let life happen to you? This is one of the biggest themes I am going through right now. It applies to diet, training, career etc. I replied to u/SkimTheDross in regards to NoFap, Fitness, and diet. The more I control of these things rather than being passive the more momentum there is.
