I am horrified by the constant threat little boys in America experience where, if by some miracle, they remain whole going home from the hospital where they're born, they can still be taken anywhere and have their genitals carved apart no questions asked. What a shit show.

Immediate enforcement of the illegality of male genital mutilation. Ending the practice in hospitals, removing all subsidizing of the procedure, and charging adults who perform or allow it to be performed on children. That's disgusting. I'd heard of a man who had the same thing happen because the mom took the son to be circumcised against his will and the father's objections to spite the father. Doctor did it, and the mom dropped the boy off at the dad's house missing parts of his penis.

It can. I know 2 people who had minor surgery and I had to have a non-minor, not-severe surgery done myself as well as a child. I had no choice either, neither did my friends. It sucks. For one of my friends the hospital did it to him against his parent's wishes.

We can agree, but sadly when an issue is couched as only affecting one gender or group, laws and support are made and given only to the one. Look at genital mutilation. The laws and money protect and support only girls - boys are sliced up every day in America. Sometimes the blatant one-sided-ness needs to be brought up so that policy, like the 14th amendment guarantees, actually does protect everyone; not just the focused group.

There is an argument to be made about rape with a blunt instrument. The procedure requires a probe-tissue separation. A judge could tack on rape charges if the procedure's illegality was ever enforced in court. I know for a fact that if you did a probe insertion to a girl you'd be charged with rape so it stands to match with boys.

If there are no cops who can help, what good is it to be illegal? You need executive support - a mayor, or governor. Why not write your governor? Turn your anger into the fuel for a letter writing campaign. Flood the office of the exec rather than a board of randos and you'll probably see results.

Under the 14th amendment, yep. But no one has ever enforced the law as the structures of our governing documents require. Saying it's illegal does nothing, just like a sign that says no littering does nothing if there isn't someone there to enforce the sign's rules. You'll need someone with legal authority to side with you in making lawful enforcement. Yelling at the clouds here won't accomplish that.

A law is only as good as it is enforced. Remember, courts are here to interpret laws - that's what judges do.
