I've been to about a dozen European countries. My impression has been that girls there are more down to earth and less into diva culture. Take what I say with a grain of salt though because I only speak English and I've only spent a few weeks at a time in any one country. I'm going to guess people become much less charming when you're not on vacation and you actually have to settle down and work some place.

Same, I consider myself half way decent dancer. I have recently had some real success at dirty dancing with chicks that are super hot, I too haven't been able to roll it into anything more. I guess at some point you still have the game them.

That's kind of the vibe I've of gotten. Dance first has worked occasionally. But definitely don't want to join the legions of sad looking drunk dudes fruitlessly trying to grind up on chicks.

Kid you catastrophizing. You're 26, just based on that one fact I know you have a lot going for you. You honestly just need some coaching, or if you can't find a coach get a therapist. It seems like the world is ending (I've been there) but trust me it's not, you are just in a rut. This might be anathema on this sub, but I would say spend a year or two just working on yourself, it will do wonders. Then start thinking about girls.

Yeah real good chance it is. Girls will usually recoil in horror if someone insinuates that they and guy that they are not into are romantically involved. They don't usually go around telling people.

I'm a teacher at a community college. I see it every single year. Most dudes come in and don't talk to the girls around them or anyone else. There's always the socially adept guys though, and the first thing they do on day one is start talking to all the girls around them before class (unfortunately from my perspective sometimes during class). Next thing you know they have a bunch of girls who talk to them all the time and the dudes want to be their friends because they have girls. Key is starti…

It may not be something you want to do forever, but sounds like you picked up a great skill set that will be transferable to other areas of your life. The confidence and charisma that is required for cold approach pick up is extraordinary. Whether it's sales, networking or just socializing it's an awesome skill set to have. Not only that but gaming done right forces you to confront fears, examine your thought life and improve your many different aspects of yourself. I'm not disagreeing with what…

I can relate, I have serious nerdy tendencies too, but I also think I have learned to transcend them to some degree. For me the biggest thing is not to take yourself, your work, life so seriously. The goal in meaningful social interaction is spontaneity. Avoid logic, think fun and playful. It's hard you have 20 yrs of training that has instilled logic and rigor, but the playful spontaneous you is closer to your true nature.
