part of the me too movement was a push to 'believe' all women my fav part about the above was one of the main founders of it ('believe all') was found to have committed statutory rape and denied it till it was proven anyone who asks you to stop being objective should be met with intense scrutiny

you said nothing of substance at all just wild stabs in the dark at personal insults and a false equivalency with my stance and disliking women

I consider myself a feminist and I completely agree with her. are you sure you're a feminist? do you believe there are more than 2 genders? it's central to their ideology (that equality in outcome is a justifiable goal) I get why so many women are drawn to the feminism = girl power dynamic but I believe it's more like feminism = rewarding aggressive women and shaming traditional women...imo choice is an important issue missing from feminism and is one of the core reasons I consider it an ideolog…

That said, I am absolutely in support of equal opportunity for women, but not necessarily equal outcome. Totally agree and wanted to unpack that thought a bit Ever wonder why radical feminists are pushing so hard on the 'more than 2 genders' argument? It's real purpose is to argue that inequity of outcome isn't a result of natural gender differences (one natural gender difference is women prioritize emotional fulfillment in career on average higher than men). Otherwise, more women aren't in STEM…

When people come before the court with competing, legitimate interests, the purpose of the court is to negotiate the outcome where the balance of conflicting rights is just the legal system in family law makes decisions based on prior rulings, do you honestly believe every case has a jury or balances the particulars, it's all past precedence I appreciate your viewpoint and how you've expressed it thusfar, I just don't agree

It's a mens right issue, look at the sub you are in, arguing it only affects 2% of the population is not reason to dismiss it Also, you should solidify your understanding of a strawman.

So, you completely missed the point of that article. It states that Judges are still using 'the tender years doctrine' in their decisions. Despite the fact it was found to violate the equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. To recap, a doctrine that was found to be unconstitutional and biased against men is still routinely used in family court decisions...that proves bias against men in family court The second issue in the post (fathers tricked into raising …

stop being so obtuse, my argument is clear and so is yours you think the rights of the kid supercede anything done by the mother or the rights of the dad...that's not how a justice system works, one persons rights can't override anothers we dont' have an intersectional justice system
/r/MensRights15/07/17 01:40 PM

read the whole post, specifically "There are plenty of examples of fathers who were tricked into raising kids who weren't theirs by cheating wives, I won't link you to those but do your own research if you don't believe me" If you have an ideology that states fathers in the above situation come second to the rights of the kid, i'm never going to see eye to eye with your pseudo commie bs

You are ignorant, educate yourself The 'tender years' doctrine is still a primary decision factor for Judges in family court. It's been written about a ton, here's one source There are plenty of examples of fathers who were tricked into raising kids who weren't theirs by cheating wives, I won't link you to those but do your own research if you don't believe me

It's been 2 years since I finished grad school what did you study? I guarantee you studied some sort of social studies or humanitarian studies...which has absolutely 0 bearing on your understanding of stats or provide an authoritarian position of superiority like you are attempting You don't have the knowledge to state whether a study is valid or invalid, yet you've convinced yourself you do. If you want to have discussions with us you'll have to come to the realization you aren't smarter or bet…
/r/MensRights16/06/17 08:11 PM

the research used is flawed, do to the study sample being all from Canada That doesn't invalidate the study, it does mean it applies to Canada There is a science behind polling, in statistics you have a confidence interval based on total population and the amount you sampled, I didn't see a C.I. referenced, but a low CI would indicate a flawed study

Destroying feminism (which some here seem to stump for) is never happening Changing feminism however.... I think it's as much a responsibility to men's rights sympathizers to build up the feminists that aren't crazy as to blast the ones who are crazy I could be totally wrong and invite dissenting opinion

feminism is evil, here are a few reasons why You're not Jan Reimer, former mayor of Edmonton and long-time head of Alberta's Network of Women's Shelters, who just a few years ago refused to appear on a TV program discussing male victims of domestic violence, because for her to even show up and discuss it would lend legitimacy to the idea that they exist. You're not Mary P Koss, who describes male victims of female rapists in her academic papers as being not rape victims because they were "ambiva…

It's discrediting this drive to fix issues I'd argue feminism has attacked these issues* in a much realer and more damaging way than internet trolls (who exist on both sides of well, everything) You came in here trying to troll, you justified it by labeling us with your past experiences I hope you can see how the above is a viscous cycle and your interaction with me I hope shows not all MRAs are mindless assholes If you disagree and have some evidence you'd like me to review i'm all for it look …
/r/MensRights12/05/17 08:16 PM

I think you miss the point of mens rights, it is misused a bit here but it's to fight LEGAL inequities of men Those being wrongful paternity child custody deluth model domestic abuse laws Everything else is window dressing, but the above are the core reasons why a movement is necessary, no one will change these laws if there isn't a lobbyist movement Feel free to challenge that any of the above is wrong, discourse is how you reach consensus and empathy

did you want to engage in actual debate? I'll listen to any points you want to make, this sort of needless aggression isn't going to help anyone I'll even give you a jumping off point, you seem to claim that women 'have their arm cut off' and men are complaining about 'paper cuts' Can you point to what issues/data informed the above opinion?

I'm not even a strong libertarian, I wanted to get a third party to 5% of the total vote to change campaign finance laws You'd think context and logic would be more in demand here, absolutely no one asked my reasoning or even challenged with logic Severley dissapointed
/r/MensRights11/05/17 04:32 PM
1

If 5% of the general vote goes to a 3rd party, that party has access to radically different campaign financing opportunities that currently only the two primary parties enjoy There's more to it than outright winning the election

I am learning, it's disgusting to me as there are real legal issues* that no other lobbyist group will fight for paternity rights custody alimony wrongful paternity i've seen people focusing on societal issues (rich v poor) that's not what Mens Rights is it's to fix LEGAL wrongs done to men, not pat you on the back and tell you your situation isn't of your own design Is there a better sub to focus on issues we can actuall legally move forward?
/r/MensRights10/05/17 10:47 PM

yes, my idea of libertarianism is a failed version is there anything persuasive you'd like to share or is this your idea of discourse

/r/MensRights10/05/17 05:25 PM

Please consider a 3rd party next time, i'd suggest learning more about Libertarianism edit: I'm appalled by the closed-mindedness here, absolutely no one has responded with reasoning just anger at my assertion that someone should educate themselves on their options...jesus edit #2: does no one here know about the 5% of total vote laws around campaign financing for a third party? I know a third party isn't going to win, but if we can open up financing for third parties that's a win.

It's because we don't have a lobbyist group to fight for such things Feminist directly impact laws around female health rights and costs No one is doing this for men
/r/MensRights10/05/17 05:00 PM

IMO the issue isn't the historical norms around the lack of fanfare concerning mens issues (a lobbyist group that represented men is another thing entirely however) The issue is tearing down every other positive part of being a male till all we have left is an unappreciated but necessary 'Strong but silent' archetype I watched my dad provide for our family, then be disrespected at home for any opinion counter to my moms when I was old enough to ask him why he doesn't stand up to her more his res…

The lack of objectivity is what recently drove me to oppose feminism Very honestly, The Red Pill (movie, not the subreddit) opened my eyes, I had honestly believed feminism was about equality How far the hypocrisy of the statement 'if you're for equal rights, you're a feminist too!' has stretched the truth of their stances and broken down upon even cursory research sickens me

the bigger issue is the laws built on the Deluth Model that put this sort of 'women are never in the wrong in interactions with men' into the legal system

Texts are for setting up dates only, do not try to get to know someone via text...I really can't stress this enough, if you are trying to run game, you can't 'chat via text' you have to appear more scarce than that

women crave sexual validation, withholding that validation is a way (you have to be sure they want it from you though) to break out of the 'basic bitch/nice guy' camp

It's a good conversation to have, you'll get to know the girl through it...generally, women like 'reading tea leaves' think of it like a good story, tell it when the situation dictates, don't force it into conversation

I'm really against these sort of lines...it comes off too strong and scares most girls. Start off with 'Hi, my name is x'. The conversation and physical escalation will tell her you are interested in her.
