He was as nice as can be in public and around others except he was the opposite and abusive behind closed doors to me. Also wouldn't lift a finger to ever help me out like your friend's bf. No matter if I was sick, injured, etc. If the guy won't help you out with small things, don't expect him to help you with the bigger stuff either.
