Identify what you CAN do. The classic masculine self-improvement tips are things like go to the gym, read more, find a productive hobby (or even "side hustle"), eat healthy, stop watching porn, etc. Which of those are doable for you?

Yeah, they're going to continue doing that for as long as you're living outside the norm. Get used to it, work on your self-esteem, and never give in to peer-pressure.

Of course it's ok. Live your life as you please. The "normal" people will see any deviation from "normal" as a lost cause. Don't let them persuade you.

There's a lot more male inmates than female inmates. Male guard/female inmate still happens, but 93% of all inmates in the US BOP are male.

Here's the top 5: Registered nurses Elementary and middle school teachers Managers, all other Customer service representatives Secretaries and administrative assistants, except legal, medical, and executive So... it's about what you would think.

What are you even disagreeing about? So she says "girls pee before they poop" and this somehow translates to saying every time they pee, they poop? I can't believe I'm even commenting on this.

Never been through anything like this, but I hope you can get to the other side of this as soon as possible. No matter what the conflict is about, no matter the behaviors of either partner, no matter how much good there might still be in the relationship: if you're at the point where you'd rather die than continue living like this, it's time to be done with it.

It wasn't intended for reviews. It was intended for women to be able to find out if the man they were seeing was also seeing other women.

Of course some women have those tendencies. But don't jump straight into "she's using the app because she's a liar, gossiper, and harasser just like all the rest." I'm saying that there may still be genuine reasons for someone to use AWDTSG.

Sure, if you want to make this about dunking on women instead of having nuanced discussion.

AWDTSG is one of those things that started as a useful service and soon fell to the natural emotional tendencies. It was meant to be a way for women to see if they were being cheated on or even to share warnings about men they've dated. Then it devolved into gossip, lying, harrassment, and more. I think some women probably do still use it for its intended use, but who knows what that percentage is.

Lot of people in here conflate "men's rights" with "women-hate". Same thing happened in feminism. There was a post in this sub about dating apps and women not trusting men, and I got piled on for saying men don't help their case by lying about their political beliefs just to get laid. https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/1nbe58u/comment/nd15irl/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

They want what they can't have, and they get jealous. There's a lot of that in general between introverts and the extroverts who don't understand how someone can live like that. They think something's wrong with us, and that alone can create hostility in the basic instinct sense of "this person is an outsider, we don't want them in our tribe."

Yes, my eyelids were removed at birth without my consent. It's okay because all of my male relatives have also had their eyelids removed at birth. My wife tells me she likes the look of it, only because she has never considered how it got that look in the first place. Anyway, I can still see with my eyes perfectly fine. It's insensitive to say that I was mutilated. That hurts my feelings more than when my eyelids were removed.

No-fault divorce has ruined the business of marriage. I can appreciate the need for women (and men) to be able to exit something that isn't good for them, but so many divorces are initiated before really trying to work through their differences.

This isn't about any of the super selective standards. The article is about politics, which is a very general and fair thing that people use to judge potential partners. It's not unrealistic for a woman to have a policy against dating certain political groups.

I'm not sympathetic either if the woman is lying. There are liars and hypocrites on both sides. There are also innocent, honest people on both sides.

Breaking news, women lie too. There's liars on both sides.

So? Marriage is also a very personal venture. Husbands and wives are literally life partners. No they don't HAVE to talk about politics, but you don't think their politics shapes their decisions?

What do you mean by "the right to not divulge their preferences"? As in someone can keep quiet about what they want and don't want in a partner?

If a black man wants to join the KKK and tells them he's white, does he get to be upset when they find out he's black? I would not want to date an "anti-man" woman. Therefore I would not misrepresent myself as also being "anti-man" just to get in the pants of those women. Women don't want to date men who disagree with them, big headline there. So don't lie to them or act like you agree if you don't.

Some men do have standards. Standards may change based on one's intentions in dating/hookup/etc. Why wouldn't you be honest about what you're looking for?

Some men raping is sufficient to change the behavior of most women, so not sure how lying would be any different.

That's what I'm saying. Why should anyone lie to a partner about political views?

Misandric as hell for saying that some men cause women to distrust men by lying about their politics when they know it won't get them laid? I agree that political terms have lost meaning and subtlety. Conservative men lie too.

Than you for your support. And yes, everyone thinks they can find the perfect match with every "good" quality and none of the "bad". This may be true and possible in the information age, but be prepared to waste a lot of time trying to find that person.
/r/MensRights08/09/25 01:40 PM

What have I been saying? How can I make this any more clear? If a man deliberately lies or obscures his political views just to get laid, he is at fault. If he believes he has moderate views and the woman sees them as conservative, then it is a misunderstanding. Politics is full of labels which have changed meaning and don't carry any subtlety.

Again, if they end up in this situation because a man lied to them, then the man is in the wrong. I support a woman's right to ruin her life however she wants.

If he lied, then he lied. That's pretty clear. I'm not denying that sensibilities and trends have changed or that political terms themselves have changed meaning.
/r/MensRights08/09/25 01:29 PM

They sure can. I'm saying that neither partner should lie to the other about their political views.

The "no conservatives" woman was an example. Men and women both have standards like this. I agree that the apps are weighed heavily in women's favor. I stopped using them a long time ago, and I don't regret it. If the woman (or man) cares about politics and wants to make it her business, she can make it her business. It may or may not affect her chances in dating, but that's her consequence.

No, nothing new. I agree. Trust on both sides is always sketchy, and politics are extremely visible and volatile now.

I never said anything about that. The article is specifically about women losing trust in dating apps because of men's conservative shift. My comment was to say that men are complicit in this if they hide their political views or lie about them. Men lie on dating apps. Women lie on dating apps. Neither should lie on dating apps. Especially don't lie about politics when finding a partner.

Thank you, that's my whole point. I know that some of my views will turn away a portion of eligible women, but I would much rather have a relationship based on shared values.
/r/MensRights08/09/25 05:25 AM

Can you explain what you mean? I agree that AWDTSG can be toxic. The article is saying that women don't trust men because they are conservative. The dating app has nothing to do with that. Women would only have reason to distrust the dating app if it hid men's political views, which it doesn't. It's the men obscuring their political views that makes women distrust it.

This has less to do with the shift in political leaning and more to do with the fact that men try to hide or lie about it. Men will put the right words in their profile to attract more women, or they simply don't disclose their politics up front. A woman will say in her profile "no conservatives". A conservative man sees this and thinks "my politics have no bearing on the fact that I want to sleep with this woman," so he pretends like he has more moderate/left views than he really does. If/when …
