you literally named 5 of like the 20 examples total. Also wrt Jonah Hill status doesn't guard you from being treated like every other ugly guy is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y90cC4qPgq4

It's very easy to get status as a very good-looking man, that's the point of this post.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 04:35 PM

If you're a millionaire in your 20s you're vastly more likely to have inherited it or gotten a big leg up due to your privileged upbringing.

Train 3 hours a day and you will move up into the top few percent. lol that's outstandingly naive. Maybe if you're already in the top 20%, you can't do much to fix ugliness our 20’s are your prime years for sex And yet people are having less sex than ever in their 20s, often due to no fault of their own. It's not that the toxic mindset leads to no results, it's the no results that leads to the toxic mindset.

if a wealthy, charismatic social media star couldn't even get married due to his ugliness the whole world would collapse. I think men here care more about casual sex than long-term relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 01:44 AM

80-90% of the male population can't get laid outside of long-term relationships.

Talent does exist, it's delusional to think otherwise. Not everyone can get the same results with the same effort, not even close.

Asking for evidence of a theory isn't pedantic. It's just that some kinds of status, imo, don't seem to matter much to sexual success. Is Mark Zuckerberg sought after by women due to his high status?

A sexual appetite is healthy, it just ought not to over-encumber one's quality of life.

I can't universally agree on the importance of confidence because it's amorphous and unfalsifiable whether or not confidence is a decisive factor in one's success. The jist of what seems to characterize "creepy" men (who haven't done anything illegal) is unwarranted confidence, so whether confidence helps you depends on whether you have the quantifiable traits to back it up. Michael Scott and Dwight from the Office are examples of men ridiculous due to their unwarranted confidence. Of course the…

Do you have any personal anecdotes of otherwise unremarkable men who score dates due to being good at trivia?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 06:03 PM

That's true, most guys on here complain about how irrational and unfair the dating world is. The harsh truth is if they aren't hot shit they're going to have to wait to get a fair deal.

It's rare for a woman to not be into actors, musicians, people with large followings on social media, etc.

Attractiveness for men is height, facial bone structure, muscles, voice, dick size, hair, eye color etc. There are a lot of mutable things but they don't matter as much as the immutable characteristics. There are attractive guys like Chris Hemsworth where you could easily point to each of the aforementioned traits and scientifically categorize their attractive elements to a t, though there are men who end up "unconventionally attractive" despite on paper having no objectively dimorphic trait. Be…

Everyone can certainly improve from their prior position, it's really a matter of whether that effort is worthwhile. IMO the tactics aimed for pussy's sake have already been min-maxed by those with a significant headstart. What prompted me to make this post is seeing too many average men caught in the "flashy" routes to high status and more often than not falling on their face and ending up no better off, despite trying their hardest.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 05:51 PM

guy who gets the hard questions at bar trivia nights That doesn't get you high status nor makes you more attractive the guy who always knows where to score weed or coke Drugs actually are a cheat code to pussy, so I'd agree with this.

All sexually active men are looking for validating sex. It's not just about being able to fuck a long string of women, it's having the status sufficient to select desirable women for LTRs, and for those women to genuinely want to fuck, and not see the relationship as transactional/dispassionate.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 05:29 PM
7

I'd wager that most guys can reach a 4/10 or even 5/10. 5/10 objectively or 5/10 as rated by women? (which according to OKCupid is 80th percentile)
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 05:24 PM
14

Not all men where meant to win the casual sex game. That's absolutely correct, but the narrative that it isn't is the silent fuel for millions of sexually unsuccessful men. There's no greater panacea to the grim reality of the world than the impossibly accommodating fantasies of hope.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 05:22 PM

It's not just a matter of being hard, it's more a matter of it being a hierarchy; there will always be losers, even if everyone worked harder. High status in one's 20s is not achievable for most men, that's an illusion crafted by apex fallacy and rare exceptions, it's far from the rule. If "most" men could become top 20%, then it wouldn't be the top 20%, it'd be at least 50%. You can't squish 50% into 20% or less. If you want to become a DJ/musician, you're competing with attractive people and t…

The thing with the climb to high status is there's always competition. It's no straightforward task in a vacuum. Assortative mating is a better aim for non-top 20% guys than trying to be at the winning end of hypergamy, for reasons I discussed in my post.

Once you understand how self esteem works, you can completely and utterly destroy someone or elevate them to a King lol what do you do, do you just compliment/insult people to death? The reason why I bring musicians up as an example is because I know a lot of small-time musicians who aren't famous and likely won't become famous. Nevertheless they're often very naturally physically attractive. I thought that it was only the famous ones but even the non-famous ones have a selective effect of being more attractive than average. As as to your last point, yes I do think oil rig workers are likely more attractive than sysadmins.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 03:13 AM

Performers and musicians are judged on their looks. Being attractive is a prerequisite for success. Especially if we are only talking about famous ones. I'm glad you agree Millions of average looking men are average musicians. The attractiveness spectrum between musicians and system admins is vast The tech guys I mentioned are still not considered particularly attractive. They're 3 people who happen to have had millionaire parents and are naturally super intelligent. Using them as an example say…

The point I was making is those pursuant of lifestyles that pose a risk of limiting their social circle or financial continuity tend to be more attractive. Going skydiving for a day isn't really that category, it's a fairly regular, controlled experience you pay for to do one day then resume your normal life. I do agree it's a lot of rich kids, though it's certainly the more attractive ones who can manage it despite not being born rich.

How are you establishing your first premise? Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Bill Gates came from very wealthy families. Also they found partners in a more equitable time prior to OLD. Iggy, Gene, Post and Steven are actually unconventionally attractive and have good bone structure hidden by their trashcore styles. I find it funny you use the rare exceptions as a counterargument when 99% of famous performers/artists and musicians are physically attractive.

True. All therapy might be able to do is increase one's confidence on the way to improving things. The thing is, that guy still needs to learn how to enact real change, without which all therapy can do is make his bad conditions more palatable. Therapy would be valuable for a high-value sexually successful man who nevertheless feels depressed or has an actual quantifiable mental disorder. However if you're a low-value man with no sexual success, therapy won't help you, only changing yourself/you…

Here's a big-picture rundown of TRP TRP evolved out of pick-up culture, essentially men somewhat frustrated with their lack of success with women trying to make heads and tails of the "asshole problem", i.e. why do women say they want good guys but go for assholes? Out of it emerged RED PILL PHILOSOPHY which basically states that everything men are taught in most western nations about attracting women is wrong, and that women, by their very evolutionary makeup, respond positively to selfish, nar…

If women wanted and related to sex and looks the same way men did, any naked pics of men on Reddit would be filled with female commenters begging for DM’s just like men do to nude female pics. Any "chad" could choose to do all that LTR good husband career building stuff and be welcomed compassionately, it's just that the thrill of being the object of endless lust and romantic affection, as much as it may surprise you, just might be better than getting a passionless handjob once a month from your wife who masturbates to shirtless you…

And thinking that easy access to sex, is better than bad sex is a typical male perspective because most men don’t think about sex as being bad. While many many women do think about bad sex in a whole host of different ways. If women weren't that into sex then why is hookup culture a thing?

that's true BUT no person is an island. There is a natural, non-fungible degree of worth derived from the esteem and validation of others. That's why those of high status naturally have higher serotonin levels than people of low social status.

as hard as it is to imagine women generally care about men they're friends with. It's just that the idea of "male struggle" is often contextualized differently than female struggle. The former is often seen as necessary, natural, and acts as a "weeding" force for the men deserving of success, while the latter is avoided at all costs if society can help it.

because the wall, because the red pill. Being a non-obese, non-addict, childless, 5/10+, woman between 18 and 26 is the socio-sexual status equivalent of being a prince of a small kingdom. However that privilege rapidly diminishes as women accumulate baggage, lose their youthful looks, and age into a social group where their peers (older men) are far more mature and capable of getting sex on their own terms, whether it be through improved looks, status, or whatever. There's a difference between having no standards and having extreme, arbitrary, unwarranted standards. FDS frequently uses a straw man argument that purports that there's a pervasive, unavoidable expectation that attractive career women should put up with dating overweight, unemployed men. This is obviously not the case, but whenever a guy notes the bizarre and elitist standards of FDS women, they assume that that's the expectation that guy is holding them to.

True. However most women don't consider average/below average guys when thinking about "guy" in a positive "where are all the guys" sense. Maybe like 60-70% of men are equivalent to sexless robots to most women.

Well the idea is that the kind of effort people preach isn't the kind of effort that matters. Effort built on false promises, naivety, and a general bootstrap can-do "I will lick the floor for 10 years to prove my dedication" attitude (in work, relationships, etc.) may get you some rewards, but will often leave you with nothing. Effort with respect to knowing "the game" and your personal genetic glass ceiling will net better results, if you know what you're looking for.

I think the biggest thing I learned on this subreddit is how often effort != results. You can work out every day for years but if you're short, ugly and awkward you aren't getting laid, but spend 30 minutes in a club when you're 6'2"+, handsome, and even mildly charming and you can walk out fucking a girl some guy is gonna spend the next 8 years simping for. The difference is looks. If a guy is sexually attractive, a woman will fuck him fast and furious. If he's a high tier normie he'll get sex on the third date. Just ok looking and they start hooking up in a month. Any less than that and he's being strung along for his cash.

Most ugly guys who managed to be happy leveraging money/status often mistakenly believe they're good looking, and that's why they succeed. When they lose whatever worth they had, reality hits them like a brick in the face (though for many of them that would lead to an improvement).

There are two things you're missing. Legolas and whatever boyband icons you're talking about weren't selected purely for their looks. Orlando Bloom, while very attracted, had a gracile, slightly androgynous quality to him which fit the character of the elves. Likewise boybands are selected to give the impression of youth so they are more reminiscent of the peers of high-school girls who make up their main fanbase. Beyond those selection criteria to fit the specific characteristics unique to both…

It's turning ambivalence into desire, not turning "no" into "yes". It's like someone pressuring you into trying skydiving or going on a surfboard, you still are saying yes, but they have to push to convince you first. That's what I imagine "pressuring" is, maybe you have an idea of it where it's the guy being an asshole or forcing himself on her, which isn't pressuring, it's coercion or rape. Maybe we have a different impression of the severity of the word "pressuring"
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/21 03:42 AM

Men pressure women for sex because it's enjoyable even if the woman wasn't pleading for it beforehand. Also there's an ego part, that once you pressure a woman you'll fuck her so good she'll forget her initial reluctance. Men overall need to get off somewhere. Jacking off doesn't really do it, but as much as passionless prostitute sex is enjoyable, men want to feel wanted, same as women do.

What aren't you getting, the list never specified "you need all these traits to be seen as universally attractive", just that those are among the traits that will always make a person more attractive if they are in possession of them. I feel like you are deliberately misunderstanding for some reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/21 11:58 PM
1

The list isn't comprehensive, nor is every trait absolutely necessary. The point of the list is to show that for anyone considered attractive, the universally accepted traits are the ones "doing the talking" if you will, and all the subjective traits are just extra that are only appreciated on the condition that that person is already attractive enough by an objective standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/21 08:15 PM

Again you're pointing out ppl with proportionate, attractive faces, a universal trait, a proxy for them would be the "harmonious wide smile" I mentioned. Please list a male sex symbol who is neither excessively masculine nor has a very well developed proportionate face and smile

All those countries I believe were able to get away with polygamy because they exist, and through much of their history have existed, in historical contexts where a large portion of young men would be killed in war and tribal conflict. As a result polygamy is more manageable due to an excess of women around marrying age and and a dearth of men.

Which countries are polygamous?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/21 11:21 PM

It was never choice. Fear of retribution due to adultery was a reality for men and women throughout history. Also promiscuity used to have more natural deterrents before HPV vaccines and condoms.

You just said 80% of women are hypergamous vs 10% of men being polygamous. So they're seem to be a lot more moral men than women. I said it's skewed only because they are able to be hypergamous. If given the choice men would be just as polygamous as women are hypergamous, but since most men aren't attractive enough to do so they have to settle with monogamy.

Men stopped following their instincts for the better of society. So do women. Women don't always cheat on their husband the moment a guy who's 0.1" taller shows up. They all agreed on the system where monogamy was heavily enforced I don't think this was deliberate, more trial and error. The cultures/tribes which encouraged lifetime bonds and monogamy were more successful and ended up conquering/assimilating the cultures which didn't. Women only follow hypergamy to the extent that they are able. Now it's easy but in the olden days you had to get married to whomever your parents chose and that was the end of the discussion. Nowadays the top 10% of men can be polygamous, and 80% of women can be hypergamous. It doesn't mean either gender wouldn't pursue their instinctive programming to the same degree if they were able. Maybe if there were 10 women for every man.

Men fail to control their instincts as often if not more often than women. There's still rape/murder going on in the real world.

You do realize that we have more instincts than just the instinct to kill and conquer? Ants obviously don't kill each other all the time, they are outstandingly cooperative, yet noone could argue that ants have higher cognition.

Everyone is a creature of instinct, we just have our mind to conjure justifications for our instinctive behaviors to make them appear more morally centered.

Come at a woman with a growth mindset and be overall pleasant to be around, and love yourself so that someone can love you, that guy usually can choose from a number of similarly stable and healthy women. Not if you're short and ugly. Again if it was all mindset and self improvement it'd be a lot easier, but some people are permanently shut out of the dating market due to their genes.

I posted this exact shit back on a certain looks-centric forum, I don't understand how guys don't get that the potential investment for a woman having sex is 10000x greater than the investment a man makes when having sex. I think guys should be aware of this, and understand that if you don't have women breaking down your door to fuck you, that mother nature has determined your genes aren't worth the 9 month investment in any woman's womb.

That's why every guy should try to get into someone's 95th percentile or die trying. There's no point in getting with a woman unless you're part of her 95th percentile. It's called being a man. Not sure, that is probably tied to the overall question as to why homosexuality or any non-reproductive sexual behavior exists in the first place. Some argue that homosexuality plays into sociosexual strategies, increasing in-group cohesions, thus the male "g-spot" or whatever mechanism that makes anal penetration enjoyable evolved to give a receptive benefit to anal sex. Child support is a thing, there's a societal and moral burden to being the inseminator. If some woman came up to a man and said "You're hot. I want you to fuck me so I can get pregnant with your child. You will not be required to perform any fatherly duties, I just want your sperm", 70-80% of guys would say yes if they could be assured they wouldn't be financially responsible for 18 years.

Why is that logic not the same for women who wait to have sex until she has an indication he is genuinely into her and wants something more than just sex? Because women tend to make men they find less attractive wait for sex, so if she's making you take your time your chances aren't as good.

If your first sentence was true then penis size would matter more for short guys than it would for tall guys, as each incremental increase in penis size would have a bigger effect on a shorter frame. cost/benefit of serial monogamy and P&Ds. The cost/benefit depends on your SMV. High SMV have almost no cost in getting in a relationship or fucking, but low SMV men have to do a dancing monkey routine, entertain them, court, take them on dates, and in the end get lower quality sex. If a low SMV man could get the kind of easy sex a high SMV man could, he would shed whatever reluctance he had to pursue more flings.

You should read the philosophy of David Hume. He argued that nothing could exist independent of its perceivable qualities. One thought experiment for this is to try to imagine a thing without any qualities or features. True, but even a serial monogamist who can pursue multiple multi-month relationships with a woman is at a higher level than a man who at most could get 1 sex partner every 3 years. Maybe most men wouldn't pursue an exclusive 1 night-stand per woman strategy, but they certainly would be in a lot fewer multi-year committed relationships if they knew there was an option to get sex of a similar or greater quality outside of one.

Perceived fighting success is what makes women more attracted to masculine faces. I guess actual fighting success is a better proxy for good genes.

LMAO well that sucks, though of course it's just 2 women out of 4 billion. I wonder if this is a universal quality of vagina-bearers or perhaps unique to "size-queens" which occupy a small portion of the population. Certainly all men prefer tighter vaginas, because tighter = firmer stimulation = feels better, but is the inverse always true? Another thing I've noticed is women claiming that they don't like fucking big cocks, but like the way they look. Now I imagine big cocks give the impression …

That's all good material to cope with but doesn't align with a lot of guys' experiences. I'm very glad you two have a passionate, interesting sex life built on genuine mutual desire. As successful as you two have been, it certainly isn't the rule imo, and there are certainly a lot of relationships where the guy thinks he's finally found someone who sexually desires him, when in reality she's no more into him than her vibrator without batteries. By the evidence you've gathered via your experience…

The mere fact that a woman just had sex with some irresponsible alpha with no beta qualities doesn't mean that she can never be attracted to a man closer to her own attractiveness. Women don't look at "just sex" the same way that men do. They do look at "just sex" when it's a matter of getting high-quality genes. The other stuff is for the sake of support and stability, but she'll always keep her sex drive on deck for those with high enough SMV to pass her genetic threshold. Textbook AF/BB. Men …

Well the significant factor is whether a average guy does believe he is the biggest, and if he does but he actually isn't, if that is due to deliberate ignorance or just not understanding the range of dick sizes and his partner's sexual past? But I digress, overall dick size is a small part of the full range of value assessments spanning a guy's ego wrt his sexual attractiveness to his wife. Dick size is just a particular pinch point because guys seem to often have an impression that a large, cu…

The significant difference is being able to have lots of sex in your teens/20s. Even if you aren't fucking a lot, having opportunities such that if you wanted to, you could, is the collective feminine unconscious classifying you as a man of high sexual value. When you end up picking a long term partner, her desire will likely reflect that collective assessment on average.

The reality is likely somewhere in between, but more likely closer to the latter. Do you really think the average, 5'9", 5.5" dick guy is getting anywhere near the kind of sex guys like Chris Hemsworth have been getting since they were teenagers? Even if that guy works out, tries his best to be appealing to his loving SO, I'm hard pressed to imagine a woman looking at him as anything else than a compromise.

Bad hair, poor dressing, acting like a complete and total arsewipe Most guys I know are well put together around that age. Maybe you're hanging out with the wrong crowd. They generally have more life experience, more hobbies, they've learned how to dress well and make their hair look good. The average price of childcare in the US ranges from 10,000-14000 per year per child. The median household income for the US is roughly 68,703 per year. The average family in the US has 2 children roughly. So on average the upper bound for child care is about 1/3-1/2 the household income, and this is assuming the wife has 100% of the childcare burden and that doesn't account for whether the price of childcare includes food and housing. In most families the husband and wife share the childcare bu…

Yes. The more children a couple has, the more likely person in charge of housework/childcare will not be employed/be only part time employed. It's also more likely that the money the male partner is making far exceeds the money the couple is saving not hiring professional childcare. Also more and more couples are delaying or putting off entirely having kids.

A woman shouldn't have to carry a baby to term if she doesn't want to, but a man should not be expected to pay child support if he did not want the baby carried to term. This isn't ideal for everyone but imo is better than the "father must pay" policy we have nowadays.

Looksmaxxing means maximizing the traits that women find inherently attractive. It doesn't mean excessive grooming, skincare, or emphasizing "prettiness" Sure, being pretty helps you stand out, but women primarily look for dimorphic features in a man. The value of your input is you knowing what you changed. Whether it's attitude, looks, body, location, approach, etc, that distinction has justification for being the actual cause of your success, because it is what you changed. What was it that you changed that led to you becoming more successful?

If you're never successful you at least know what doesn't work, but you don't know what it is. A guy may get no dates due to having horrible hygiene but he is convinced it's because of his height. All he knows is he's getting no female attention, but the cause is difficult to discern. Women go for the guys that give them tingles. This is a very small percentage of guys (5-10%), and women's preference for these guys isn't based on peer-group bullying or any other shit. I do admit peer-group status-testing is a factor but the core factor is women's biological preferences to not compromise on the genetic quality of their sexual partner. Of course it exists. It is simply a circumstance where a guy sees romantic value in a woman, but that woman only has a platonic interest in the guy. Most men aren't attractive to women ( 80/20 rule ), and nowadays men don't have as much economic leverage over women, so women have no incentive to date the vast majority of men beyond the very rare instance of serendipitous emotional compatibility, which in itself doesn't necessarily translate to sexual attraction.
