You need to reevaluate what you think concent means. You rationalize away how her quite obvious lack of interest must have ment something else (nervous, pillow princess). In that case you should have asked her something, like if she likes it, if she wants to continue, what she wants and so on. You also base your claim of concent on the fact that she came home with you and that social code dictates that it means she want sex. So, you let that idea count for more than how ahe was actually acting. …

Answers like this one is the biggest cop out. You don't have to say anything, but think through your opinion on women and find out what you actually have evidence for, and what's assumptions you or someone else have made. There is so much information and knowledge out there. Educate yourself.
/r/AntiFeminists20/01/24 06:48 AM

No, you need to educate yourself. You are using anecdotal evidence from viral videos as evidence to show how women IN GENERAL lack common sense. But I am still curious about the thing I asked: in the situation, what would be the right thing for these women to do?

Oh sure, but they won't because it doesn't interest them, if they were going to learn it, they would have by now We are literally watching a video of them trying to do it, even declining help in the video ("No, you stay inside!"). And asking for help when you have to do something new is a good way to learn the thing. You have just decided that despite literally watching them trying to learn it, they are not interested in learning it. This was 2 women, not 1 but 2 grown women who not only didn't …

I am shocked if you interpret the common line "women can do anything a man can do" to mean that literally every woman know how to do everything. You do realize it's a principle, right? These women can't charge a car battery because they never learned to do it, not because they're women, or feminists, or lesbians. There's nothing inherent in being a woman that keeps them from ever learning how to do it.
/r/AntiFeminists19/01/24 09:49 PM

Yes, It's serious. Where in the video did they say that? I must have missed it.

/r/AntiFeminists19/01/24 09:35 PM

How are they contradicting themselves? You can be independent and not know how to do literally everything in the world. And, if you never try something, how are you supposed to learn it? A lot of men know this stuff because we are expected to. But you don't intuitively know it before you have learnt it. Isn't trying to do things yourself a good thing? Why are these girls critisized?

"Every time a girl lose interest and i fail I assess myself and my conclusions about myself is that I am without fault. Therefore it is the woman who rejected me who is wrong. I am, indeed, perfect". Listen to yourself. That they rejected you shows that it is something about you that they didn't find attractive. Given that attracten is very subjective, something you think is a good trait or entirely within reason to do, say or be, is something that she might find unattractive. It is hard to take…

Sorry bro, but this isn't "truth" and "fact". It's a subjective opinion. There are plenty of successful female comedians who simply prove your statement that it is truth and fact that female comedians are unfunny. The fact (and this is a fact) that these women (For instance Sarah Silverman, Christina Pazsitzky, Illiza Shlesinger, Ali Wong) are selling a large amount of tickets and have successful specials on streaming services is proof that they are not objectively unfunny. It is just your (and …

Regardless of stance I think everyone should question their stance and biases once in a while. No matter what your worldview is you are always looking at an issue from somewhere. It's inherent in the word worldview. Being entirely objective is almost entirely impossible, so we all are bound to have some small or large bias in some views we have. Furthermore, regularely questioning a stance actually can make you more sure of it, because you then regularely have to defend for yourself why it's rig…

I'm not even gonna answer this. It's a bad system "for men" because you're utterly delusional. Yes, I am a foreginer, but I do have access to the internet. Don't come here and tell me that healthcare is such a joyride for women in the US and that everyone is constantly on drugs in the same country that have several states where the hoops they have to jump through to get an abortion is mind boggeling. This is just pure bullshit.

Why is it almost certain that she in all probability went there because she's vegan? There's a myriad of reasons why people become anemic, but you have just decided that because she's a feminist she's probably vegan, which is just an assumption. And yes, while I am sorry you had a stroke, I do find it interesting that you not going to the ER when you should have is somehow this womans problem. You are making really wild assumptions here. You don't know why she was anemic, and you don't know how much of an issue it was. Besides, even if she is vegan, do you think that she shouldn't have a right to treatment in the ER if she needs it? You comments are just shocking, dude. And they are not just directed at her, as she's just "another privileged woman" who apparently waste resources. Why is that? Why is it that you just assume that her trip to the ER was unnecessary? Well, we have to think broader than feminism only being about individual men doing things to individual women. If her claim is that this is a systematic issue where, for instance, her treatment in the emergancy room is due to a general discourse around women's health and/or an error in, lets say, health care education (I am not saying that any of this is they case. I am just saying that if hypothetically that was her argument) then it would be a case for feminism. I think something to add to wha…

Why is there a logical connection between being right about the heart trouble and not relating it with feminism? Whether or not it is appropriate to associate it with feminism depends on whether it's an issue aflicting women disproportionally or not. It is not dependent on if she was right or wrong about the heart trouble.

First of all, I have only said that "I think" it's a bigger issue for women. I also said that it happens to many women, which is undoubtedly true. What I have stated as fact, however, is that women's issues are understudied, which you can read about here https://www.liebertpub.com/doi/epub/10.1089/jwh.2020.8682. I also said as fact that for some issues women have different and more vague symptoms, which you can read about here https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/heart-…

First point: When I said that his comment shows I ment the way of thinking about women that he showed by writing his comment. I was talking about the commenter and not the comment. He didn't take her seriously in his comment, which is also what she (probably) felt in the scenario depicted in the original post. Second: I did say that men face this too. Then you misread my comment. I in no way said that he is right. What I said is that this woman experienced not being taken seriously at the emergancy room, and that this is an issue faced by a lot of women. And, of course, men. (It's also the same with for instance overweight people. All their issues many times gets related to them being overweight no matter why they come in). So I did pick a story and stick to it. Let me sum it up. 1) It's crazy to call someone who went to the emergancy room wi…

Excuse me, what the fuck?? The "self-absorbed whiner" was at the emergancy room with heart pain that turned out to be anemia causing heart palpitations. I don't think the nurse was joking, but if they were, then they are wildly unprofessional. You shouldn't joke like that about the reason someone have gone to the emergancy room. And, ironically, I think your comment shows the issue she is trying to point at: that women have a harder time being believed with their health issues. It's a fact that …

That's so sad to hear. I am so sorry you were sexually abused. I do, however, think that "women" have about as much to explain here as "men" do for the assults committed by men. This post is also anecdotal evidence. That it happened to you is not the same as the ratio being reproduced in society as a whole. But an important thing is to put more focus on how any person from any gender can committ an assult (By that I mean that there is no gender, position or type of identity that makes it impossi…

1) What the hell does this have to do with either feminism or anti-feminism? Humans have free will, and that you got rejected isn't proof of anything other than you getting rejected. 2) They are rejecting you because you're objectifying them. It's very obvious in this post. There are more than one kind of comfort. Feeling unkomfortable can mean that you feel out of place or don't feel good with yourself. And no, basic human decency is not being woke. It's having some fucking empathy.

You know what is missing from this comment? Who is not present at all? The fat person. You don't seem to care how they feel about themselves, which is a shame, because that is ususally what's connected to motivation to lose weight and make other changes. Why is it that you don't think they should have options? Do you honestly think that by havong access to some nice shirts and proper pants they will suddanly go "You know what? Being fat is not a problem for me anymore. This solved everything!"?
/r/AntiFeminists07/01/23 07:52 AM

No, I am not fat. I am just pointing out that a lot of people who have no choice in the matter get hurt if you insist on fat people being uncomfortable. And it's not just a few people. It's many. My father got fat because of illness. I know several who have lymphomas which are impossible to diet away. Others have depression and can't manage to take care of themselves. So, ok, you don't want people to give up on themselves. But why don't they deserve comfortable clothes? This is just petty, dude.

/r/AntiFeminists26/12/22 07:33 PM

Maybe. But the question is not as easy as staying together is a good thing and splitting is bad. Do people with less relationships stay together in marriage because they feel like they shouldn't devorce, while those with many relationships know when to call it quits in a healthy way? Or is it the relationships that are better if you date less? Those are the questions.
/r/AntiFeminists26/12/22 04:45 PM

I don't get why there's a problem with this post? It is just saying that there's no "rule" to it. That it is not a given that your relationship will fail if it starts with casual sex, and that dating a long time is not a guarantee for happy marriage. Does anyone here disagree with this? Edit: I also don't really get what it has to do with feminism.
/r/AntiFeminists26/12/22 04:07 PM

Of course, but that is also a stupid stat. Of course people who have more relationships also have more breakups. It's self-evident. Every persons number of break-ups is the same as the number of partners (minus one if you are currently in a relationships). The stat that people who have more partners have more breakups is as self evident as saying that people who walk a lot in the mountain get more mountain related injuries.

I truely don't get posts like this. Some guys here complain constantly about "females wanting to dominate and be on top" while simultaneously siding with men regardless of what they have done as long as the alleged victim is female. First of all.... There's a significant difference between showing your genitals to strangers and wearing a short top or skirt. Exhibitionism is a fetish where you get turned on by exposing yourself to others. Dressing in "revealing" clothes is a matter of style, and, fankly, anyone regardless of gender should be allowed to dress as they like. Second... Men are allowed to walk around in society when it's hot outside wearing nothing but shorts. We can go topless and with short shorts without anyon…

Women also knows that not all men are rapists. The thing that sucks with rapists and other dangerous categories is that it is impossible to know who is and isn't a threat. I have seen women literally say straight forward that all men are rapists, and this is not the same to me. Sadly, there's a reason women have to be this cautious when meeting someone new. I am totally for fighting for men's issues, but it doesn't help us to deny women's issues. It's just plain true that women are raped a lot. …

Yes, it is. There are so many ways of being a couple, and no two couples are exactly the same. Some of the views shown in this sub are so incredibly limiting for both the idea of what women and men can bring to the table, or be as people.
/r/AntiFeminists06/12/22 10:28 PM
1

Seems convenient in which way? Yeah, many couples fight over money, but I don't think it's due to money in itself. It's rather because of the lack of some of those other factors (love, respect, communication etc.). Money is the expression of it. I also didn't mention it because I responded to a comment which mentioned things that are strictly quantifiable or concrete (Resources, protection, cooking etc.), so I wanted to add "the other stuff", if you will.
/r/AntiFeminists06/12/22 10:26 PM

That entirely depends on the individuals in the relationship. Some people have high paying jobs, some have low paying jobs. Some can't work, some don't want to work, some make just as much as their partner.

I never said it was more common in the 1950's. But you are just really not understanding what I am trying to tell you about how sometimes the changing factor when something increase is the measuring itself, not what it measures. Anyways. /r/AntiFeminists06/12/22 09:48 PM

She's doing a job for pay. Why is it that when men earn money it's viewed as contributing, but when a women does a job it can't be? Why isn't her getting coffee for her boss viewed as her making a sacrifice to earn money for her family?

And I said that this doesn't necessarily mean that people are more depressed. It can mean that the depression is discovered. Autism diagnosis have also risen a lot. /r/AntiFeminists06/12/22 08:57 PM
2

Sure, but there are a million ways to do that. By communicating and working together couples can have happy lives without having to use exactly this model. One size doesn't fit all.
/r/AntiFeminists06/12/22 08:55 PM
7

That's such a limited way of thinking. Love comes in ao many forms, and every couple is different. Saying that traditional gender roles matters does not make it true. Some want that, but so many don't. This is just na outdated view where women have no room for fulfilment and the husband rules everything. And where men are limited to money and resourced instead of being full beings capable of bringing love and affection in emotional ways. What you describe is a mere transaction.

It sure would. Women's issues have been fought hard for since the feminist movements in the 70's, so there's A LOT of women who have marched, signed petitions and paraded to make it a huge thing.

I get, and see, what you are saying. Nevertheless, "expect a parade", as you didn't do, kinda proves the point. Many (again, not you) expect the parade. The women MADE the parade. Same with Pride. It is huge because they made it huge.
/r/AntiFeminists20/11/22 12:36 AM

Well, I live in Norway, and the media here didn't care much about Pride either before people started going to it. The media reports. They need something to report on.

I think the mens day should be more of a thing. But the truth is that the women's day is such a big deal because women made it a big deal. They arranged parades, talks, protests etc. and with time people lached on. So yes, no one cares about the international men's day, but there are also a _lot_ of men who 1) don't even know about it or when it is, and 2) complain that nothing happens despite doing nothing for it to be notices. If we want to use the day to point at important men's issues, which…

Come on guys, you know this is not true. Each of you probably know many married women who pay their fair share. You can't take anecdots and generalize it to an entire gender.

It's a crazy take, but also one that very few people, including women and feminists, would agree with.

Having dummies at different sizes and measurements is wise. The very basic minimum should be having one average male and one average female size.

Typo: I changed "som" to "so". I am norwegian and "som" is a norwegian word, so it autocorrected. But this is something I don't get: my comment is purely factual. It's about what Demi actually said. I checked some articles and commented on a factual error in the OP. I voiced no opinion. Why am I an idoit? Why are you so vitriolic that reading that lead to these comments?

This is inaccurate though. It is normal for Non-binary people to use several pronouns, and to see themselves as rather fluid. So Demi use both they/them and she/her. Think of it what you will, just wanted to point out that the pic in OP is lazy reporting. Edit: fixed typo.

How ypu express your sex drive is, though. The entire argument in TS is about how sex drive is used.

Well... yes. But that isn't what we are talking about. We are talking about how you claim that boats and trucks have the same role in trafficing as sex drive have in rape.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 03:06 PM

Dude.... The context is about rape and sexual abuse. Every woman that become pregnant have NOT made a choice.

Lmao me too. I get pulled in easily.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 02:56 PM

Human trafficing is due to human trafficers. The vessels are just tools. Becoming pregnant is literally impossible without getting semen mixed with an egg inside a uterus.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 02:55 PM
-3

Not really. Human trafficing isn't directly caused by the existance of boats and trucks, while pregnancy is undoubtedly caused by insemination. That does not mean that I am saying that the person inseminating is responsible for death at childbirth. I am just saying that you're equvalent is not a good one.

there are 7 billion people on the planet and 7 billion different reasons why any of them can do bad things. So systemic and/or culturally conditioned factors etc. is not a thing? It is all individual? It is impossible that a group have a culture of violence, or that some people's ideological/cultural/whatever viewpoint promotes, or at least excuses, rape, and so on? I never said it is your responsibility to question these things. I didn't say that I hold the answers either. What I said is that s…

In almost every response you write you exaggerate what I said out of proportion. When the fuck did I claim anything of what you wrote after "are you fucking serious?". Accusations of arrogance is rich coming from someone who seem to be able to wholesale reject that there is anything wrong with men.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 12:41 PM
1

"I made some shit points you disagreed with. It's therefore your fault because you didn't _engage_ with them". Yeah I did, I responded to them. You said people rape because they are bad people. This _is_ an inherently flawed argument, because it suggests that some people just are bad people without questioning why they are bad.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 12:34 PM

Alright, I think we have reached the end. To me, a part of being able to discuss a topic lies in being able to view it from multiple sides. If you are not able to see a single negative thing ever related to male sex drive then there is nothing to discuss here. Rape is the most obvious negative consequence of uncontrolled male sex drive. Get a grip. You seem like you are so obsessed with hating feminists that you can't see that we all are to some extent flawed and can be better.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 12:21 PM

I think in some cases, yes, especially young boys are not necessarily aware what true consent means. I think a cultural change when it comes to how we approach this could reduce rape. I also want to point out that the only person in this discussion calling male sex drive evil is you. I even called it "good and normal and should be celebrated" in my last answer to you. However, if you have not seen the myriad of examples of rapes and sexual harassment being excused and covered up en masse (especi…

We have the laws for it, but there are also many people who cover up and apologize such behavior. Powerful people who get a slap on the wrist for sexual harassment. A young guy who raped a drunk girl with eyewitnesess who get away with hardly any punishment, and people feeling sorry for him because he is so good at school. Also, it depends how you word it. If you tell people their urges are evil, then it is not good. If you focus on compassion and consent, and tell everyone that urges and sexual…

You literally agreed 40 minutes ago that rape, sexual slavery etc. is due to men not controlling their sex drives. I think _everyone_ should learn to control themselves to such a degree that they do not hurt, rape, kill, or damage other people. That includes but is not limited to male sexuality. And I think only a psychopath would think otherwise.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 11:46 AM
1

I think your assessment of what consequences mean in this example is rather unfair. She literally start the thread with "Male sexuality should be controlled", and repeats later that liberal democracies are not equipped to handle uncontrolled male sexuality, so her solution is undoubtedly to somehow control it more, probably through some kind of education or cultural change. Also through "consequences", which from the context seem to be that acting in ways that is deemed problematic is seen as a …

Well, it is not, but okey. A lot of bad shit have been done by men who want to calm their sexual drives. The solution this girl suggest, though, is rather extreme.

These bad people do not control their sex drive, though.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 11:04 AM

Male sex drive, as most other things, have both positive and negative sides to it.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 10:41 AM

Not here to argue, just to say what I think she ment.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 10:07 AM

This is not me stating an opinion or anything, just saying what I think she meant by it. I think she meant that due to other things related to male sex drive (Rape, pillaging, sex slavery, and so on) women who otherwise would not be pregnant have died in childbirth.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 09:38 AM

No, I am not suggesting that you should let her do "as she will". I am suggesting that you don't use more violence than necessary. And given that this have been my argument all the time, I have some questions for you. What, very concretely, is it you are suggesting? I could be pedantic and say that since you argue with me here it must imply that you think we in these situations should use an amount of violence that is deemed more than necessary. That's not it, right? In my eyes it is no longer s…

It's usually the best option if you can.
/r/AntiFeminists29/07/22 05:58 AM

I really don't understand how saying that one never should use more violence than necessary is a controversial opinion. And what you are saying isn't normal. It's illegal and extreme. You can't base your opinion of spouses punching on an outlier. Did you call the Police in these cases? Look. If your spouse comes at you with a knife, or is repeatedly attacking you, you should defend yourself. Most people would agree to that.
/r/AntiFeminists28/07/22 09:53 PM
2

That's my point. You wouldn't do more than necessary. And would it be justified? That depends if it was necessary.
/r/AntiFeminists28/07/22 07:41 PM
2

So your strategy is to just go straight to excessive violence when someone hits you? If you have a girlfriend, and she is upset and crying and screaming because she claim you have done something bad (lets say cheating). She is really angry, and she punches you on the chin. Do you just deck her back? Just go to town on her to "neutralize the other person's capacity to hurt you"? You wouldn't like... try to grab her hands or hold her down or something?
/r/AntiFeminists28/07/22 07:31 PM
2

You should not use more force and violence than you absolutely need to. If someone attack you and you push them away and you have the opportunity to run you should chose running ever time. If not, push them again and reassess. Never do more than you absolutely have to. Sometimes it just seem like people use self defense as an excuse to beat up people.
/r/AntiFeminists28/07/22 05:42 PM
0

Just seem like excuses to beat someone up half of the time.
/r/AntiFeminists28/07/22 04:13 PM

If you are able to run away then you should do that. Any action beyond that point is excessive.
/r/AntiFeminists28/07/22 04:12 PM
3

I don't get why _anyone_ would want to use any violence beyond the bare minimum needed to defend yourself. If a girl is hitting you and you push her away or punch her in the chest or something to get away from danger no one will think that is unfair. If you take it as an oportunity to beat the shit out of her then it's a problem. Everyone have a right to defend themselves, but once you're out violence is no longer needed.

So let me get this straight: Is the line in the sand for when it is ok to complain about discomfort when it is literally damaging to your skeletal structure? Doing _any_ job on your feet in even slightly uncomfortable shoes is a big hassle and can give pain in your legs, hips, and back. They are standing and walking all day. They should have comfortable shoes with supporting soles. It's an entirely reasonable complaint. It is also entirely reasonable to voice your opinion on the rules in your wo…
