I have never said anything about being a "magical cure-all" thing. What are you even talking about? I even specifically said that you can find male therapists if you look for them as the internet provides a lot of options for online therapy. As a therapist myself I am aware of how gender can play a roll on achieving therapy goals for some patients. Now, what are you going on about women calling you "weak" or "fragile"? What reason would you have to you live your masculinity based on what women s…

As unfair and bias that it can be, it's something that can be worked on through therapy and I encorage everyone to recognize what it offers. Men may be scarse in the field of psychology but we have the tools to find one if you search. We as men can lead an example by embracing being gentle. Most women can understand how it feels dealing with someone mean and by being a gentleman you can point those instances out assertively. It requieres understanding your thoughts and emotions and therapy is a …

For a contry's survival, you need survivors. Sending men is the logical choice and as men we have to accept that fact, just like women have to accept that a lot of their privilege revolves around their ablity to give birth.

Because it's about the country's survival and men cannot bare children.

Why would you want them to stay too?

It's because women tend to use gender perspective and gendered issues by comparing women to men. In this line of thought, men issues are invalidated since men are the perpetrators. This is when you should question the perspective used and not the argument, since trying to argue from the same perspective will enable them to invalidate you further. You can confront her with her response being a clear example of why gender perspective, while important, is not enough by itself to adress all social i…

Because they are in their right to say whatever they want. Instead of focusing on what to take down, we should focus on what can we bring up as well.

Well, it's not that male groups are misogynistic, but it's the only space where men can get some space to complain. Other than very specific groups, most don't talk about women that often. The older generation from Boomers to Gen X do have misogynistic tendencies in male only spaces, but recent generations are much less likely. Sometimes you get the ocasional complaint about dealing with women as a man, but we just validate each other and explore it no further. There are some moments where you h…

She does complain about men a lot, but in the end she does conclude that the main issue is themselves and their expectations.

I once read something about it. "Women don't really want sensitive men. They want men sensitive to THEIR issues".

Talking about what you perceive it's a reason onto which side has it better, it's still talking about which side has it worse.

"FemNazis are so fucking narcissistic that they only want to talk about Men's issues in a way that somehow involves femininity." FemNazis tend to minimize male issues, but are they really at fault for that? There are only 2 sexes. It's impossible to talk about one sex's issue without involving the other and each side believes they have it worse than the other.

As long as she agrees that misandry is real too. Feminism and Feminist are not the loud minority that claims they speak for the whole group. Most Feminist are just simple, down to earth people that are tired of sexist behavior. Loud minorities are usually the issue.

I mean, even if it's Buzzfeed, I kinda agree with the purpose of this. Brady is an incredible competitor and a legend in American Football, but that doesn't take away the fact that he is an absent father/husband. Earlier today I saw a post of a Doctor thanking his wife for her patience since they have been dating since he entered medschool. But when he thanked her for being a good mother, he refered to their kids as hers. Men need to be held accountable for fatherhood. I would personally be piss…

There's this spectrum of society that has very present the feeling of being "high value" in a very toxic way. Even worse, it's a funny system that makes people feel validated by having what others say is a "high value" partner. I find comfort knowing that these kind of people form just a small part of the human spectrum.

We are, but we have terms to specifically reffer to our species, like man and woman.

Well, it is because it can be considered dehumanizing since Female and Male are terms often used to describe animals.

I've been acused of mansplaining in several ocassions. I struggle a lot learn in general. I often need to re-do books or practice because I was just born dumb. But it really gets me excited everytime I manage to learn about anything. The thing is, when I talk about things I do it in the same way I would have loved to be explained to. Sadly, I am just that dumb.

So, she is actively looking for FDS signs on others in order to reaffirm her own beliefs. Then, she TAKES ADVANTAGE of a guy to COMPENSATE for all the times she didn't took action because she has been analyzing his behavior and KNOWS HE WILL NOT FIGHT BACK. Damn, FDS really are just a hate group composed of femcels.

Well, the keyword your first question is "Guidelines". Afterall, the APA is a regulated institute with their own self-interest. Sadly, people with money that donate to the asociation end up with enough influence to be persuaded into promoting a political agenda (Even more so if it's an american institute since american business culture tend to have a heavy "profit above everything" policy). Regarding your second question, I do believe that it is a useful concept since every concept has it's toxi…

Clinical Psycologist with masters in ACT therapy here. Personally I don't have any issues with men at all. I specialize in anxiety, depression and suicide tendencies. But the field in general is more used to working with women. Women go more to therapy, and most therapist are women, so that could explain the study's results. However, the stigma of men going to therapy is heavier than it is for women, and that discourages a lot of men to even consider going, let alone continuing their therapy pro…

Well my dude, you are actually in the wrong here. Feminism is about looking for equality FOR WOMEN. They are not going to fight for the issues of men. WE MEN are the ones that should be fighting for MEN EQUALITY. Not expect FEMINISM to do it for us. Hope that helps. Take care!

Well, this is kind of a non-issue to be honest. However, it is definitely on purpose. Google has a personalized homepage whenever there is an important date. Not only that, but they have personalized homepages depending on a country's NATIONAL holidays, and some cities have REGIONAL ones. Despite all this you mean to tell me that they have always forgotten about INTERNATIONAL MEN'S DAY year after year? It's fishy to say the least.

Well, you can't blame her for being honest with you. Even if her response sounds a little harsh, she is also letting you see that idealizing people is a bad way to carry on through a relationship. You should try to loose a bit too. It endearing when someone really likes you to the extent that you like her, but it's also impossible to form a real relationship when either/both parties base their expectations on their own idea of "The perfect relationship".

I work 2 jobs and give therapy in my free time. I live really comfortable and I'm paying for my house in which I live alongside my dog. Since I was a kid, I was constantly told by anyone family related that I would be poor and always lack money because of my career interests (I always had a passion for psychology and being a teacher), so from very early on I had the idea in mind of how little would I need in order to live on my own. I have no issue on eating canned tuna thrice a day for years. I…
