I figured that. I will lawyer up. They wanted to meet today but I'm going to cancel and wont give them a reschedule date. I will have them serve me if they want to talk. Do you think this is wise?

Yeah actually it was an email from the school. The officer did want to meet with me and go over the "basics". She said I did not need a lawyer for our meeting but that I could consult one if I chose to after. Should I still ask for a formal letter after this?

Sorry I meant to say it was an email, from my college campus. It is a title IX officer and they want to meet up with me to go over the "basics" whatever that means. She scheduled a time to meet up with me but asked me if it was a good time to meet so I could have said no. Anyway, she said I didn't need an adviser for our basic meeting today. She said I can chose to involve one after. What do you guys think? Should I reschedule?

Right so the officer wants to meet with me today. I don't feel prepared I exchanged some emails and thought I could get some more information. All I know so far is that there has been a "complaint" against me. I asked the officer if it was wise for me to bring a legal adviser with me to the meeting. I know for a fact that I did not rape anyone. I'm just asking for advice. Thanks for your reply. I figured it was a stupid idea because as I was deleting them I was a bit paranoid and thought to myself that she seemed kinda pissed when we broke it off and she might might try to screw me somehow.
