A really black pill take on your part ... People don't understand that all the sugarcoating is really frustrating

So this take implies that there is no such thing as romantic compatibility... Which means that if some one just "see you as a friend" then what they really mean is that they do not find you physically attractive... Your post turns out to be quite black pilled

Totally agree specially here on Reddit the discourse is really biased, to appeal to that group of people... Resentful "black pillers" are also not that accurate but they get shut down and censored way more The real life is not what people tell you here... But Reddit is full of ragebait and sugarcoating, the later being more annoying in my opinion
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/26 03:57 PM

The amount of women that will say outlandish shit is also a problem in this subreddit... I mean Lilith exists. Imo Reddit tends to have a heavy bias towards progressivism and the sugar coating of the blue pill .... Maybe that's the reason why bitter black pillers concentrate in a few subreddits

I had a 10 year relationship, when that ended I got into casual relationships... I am still black(ish) pilled

This is no fantasty, it is as simple as I know someone, the more I know them the more I develop non sexual romantic feelings (romantic love), while she only se me as a friend (friendship love) she reject me after I disclose my feelings. I feel like shit, I don't want to feel that way, and every time she is around I feel worse, I distance myself in order to protect my emotional well-being and let her know how I feel ... I don't get why at some point people say that this is some kind of shitty thi…

Yeah, but in your view romantic relationships are not defined by the kind of love that people feel (friendship love or romantic love), they are just defined by sexual attraction A guy saying "I feel in love with that woman" is the same as he saying " I have this friend that I would like to fuck" That's exactly a black pill talking point
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 07:24 PM

So your partner is on the same level as a Friend with benefits? Or do not see them as a person because you want to have sex with them ? I don't think that experiencing sadness after a rejection is only attributable to the lack of sex... Sure it makes part of it. But denying that romantic feelings are more than sex is black pilled. Romantic interactions also imply some sort of projection to the future, building a house hold and a family. In your logic asexual people are unable to experience heart…

That's just the legal/social aspect of the relationship, but it is emotionally the same... for you fucking a friend and having a significant other is the same
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 06:57 PM

What is the difference better a FWB and a spouse? Because if you think that the only reason to be upset after a rejection is the lack of sex the. You deny any kind of romantic feelings that come with having a romantic relationship aside from sex Under your logic A FWB and a spouse is exactly the same, and the only difference between a friend and a spouse is that is not sexualy attractive to you and the other is... Which is ironically very black pilled
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 06:50 PM
2

You didn't answer my first question So romantic relationship are just sexual relationships? Since the only thing that rejection entails is the lack of sexual activity... Non-sexual romantic feelings do not exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 06:37 PM

So romantic relationship are boiled down to sexual attraction... So the black pill is true

You did not answer my questions Does a husband (or a boyfriend) doesn't see their wife (or girlfriend) as a person? Do uou think that it's not possible to develop feelings over time ? Are people supposed to have feelings for someone else from the get go ?

Does a husband (or a boyfriend) doesn't see their wife (or girlfriend) as a person?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 05:30 PM

I'm not assigning negative value. You are. That's your perogative. Highly doubtful... If I said that" I find black people disgusting", "women voting is disgusting" or that "Gay people are disgusting" I doubt anyone would interpret that as a neutral statement I mean it's in the definition According to the Oxford Dictionary, disgust (noun) is a strong feeling of dislike or disapproval for something unacceptable or unpleasant (smell, look, idea), often leading to revulsion.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 04:51 PM

I think Thats just evading the question... Having disgust for something is assigning a negative value to that... It's not a neutral feeling... But anyway have a good one
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 04:33 PM

Ok but why do you find disgusting that a man catches feelings for someone later in a friendship?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 04:30 PM

when you start the relationship with “I don’t want to be your friend, date me or I’ll never talk to you again”? That's kind of my point ... If they are not looking for the same thing in that relationship then that close connection will never happen... Because one wants a romantic relationship and the other one just a friendship those two goals are incompatible... So if a man developes feelings for a girl friend that will not get reciprocated then what do you suggest he does ? The connection he i…

I do agree that the friendship would be over ... But the "Ew" implies that there is something wrong with men developing feelings later in a platonic relationship... And they should either never develop them or having all those feelings from the start. I would think that the healthy course of action is just to communicate that those feelings are developing, that one can not control those feelings and to take rejection politely...
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 04:22 PM
10

I don't think I said anything controversial... Do you think that developing feelings over time for someone is not possible ? That all those feelings where there from the start? Or that men in don't have any non sexual motivations to make a move? (Not saying that sexual motivations are not a thing) In other words do you think that when a men feels something for a woman is just to have sex and men in general do not have non-sexual romantic feelings (?)
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 04:15 PM
10

But you also need to accept that a good portion of men genuinely develop feelings for a friend over time, and that doesn't negate that at some point they saw you as an actual friend. And finally that developing feelings for someone is not just wanting to fuck them. Non-sexual emotions also play a role here Over all I just think that people need to be direct about what they feel and handle rejection with dignity
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 04:12 PM
6

It seems that you are right... It's truly paradoxical... They reject the black pill yet when this topic is discussed all of the sudden it's everything about sexual attraction only All the things they say imply that The only difference between a spouse and a friend is sex If you are unable to get a romantic partner is because there is no sexual attraction, not because there is some sort of emotional/character incompatibility
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 04:01 PM

Building a home, having a family, future projects and emotional connection that is different from a friendship, that doesn't mean that it's the same kind of love that you have for a friend or a blood relative, one could love a friend and a husband/wife with the same intensity but with different perspective You “developed feelings” for someone so hard that you want nothing to do with them, if sex isn’t involved This kind of negates the idea of asexual people that can get in love with some one wit…

Again, having feelings for someone is not just wanting to fuck them ... Do you think that the only difference between a friend and a SO is sex? A FWB is the same as a husband/wife?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 03:00 PM
4

Having feelings for someone is not just wanting to fuck them it goes deeper than that... Unless you think that having a husband/wife/BF/GF, is the same as having a friend that you can fuck with aka FWB people can't control what they feel ... I can't Just snap my fingers and stop feeling the way I feel about a woman... The best course of action is to let her know how you feel, get rejected, and go no contact without being a douche
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 02:58 PM

For me it's a contradiction .. the moment you are attracted to someone the reasons you hang out with that person change... And that person will be hoping (even subconsciously) to get a chance with you
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/25 02:48 PM

I kinda agree with you ... The moment he feels attracted to you a friendship is impossible

I wouldn't do something for a woman that I wouldn't do for a friend. I would not spend money on someone that I recently met and it's not a friend, my time and money is as valuable as her time and money. I am spending time and money on her because I expect the effort to be reciprocal. My friends, family and my long term partner are different. there is a really strong and lasting bond that warrants more selfless acts. But don't tell me that I must throw my time, money and energy on someone that I …

There is a lot of talk online against hook ups... So I guess that this influences this outlook
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/25 06:40 PM

Well you desire what you don't have ... It's like saying that you could be happy with out a family or with out friends ... You can say that because you don't feel the scarcity of it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/25 10:06 PM

Nice this is so true ! This is what I have always thought... The situation will not change, we as men just need to made our peace with it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/25 10:04 PM
2

I'm not saying they shouldn't, just that they shouldn't be surprised when women are upset by it and they get rejected I get that it sucks to lose friends, and I get that it happens often, but why take it personal when people can not just decide to not be attracted to you (?) I mean if that was the case it would be awesome... why can't people part way amicably ? And just understand that they are just not looking for the same thing
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 11:55 PM

Ok so in your view Men shoud not develop feelings for their women friends ? And if they do what should they do about it ?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 11:44 PM

I'm not looking for a crush, I want friends That's valid but when someone falls for you you can't force them to feel different. The same way men should understand when you don't like them. And that's it, people feel what they feel and you can't change that Men countless times have told us that the prize is access to sex, so unfortunately "I like this girl" does equate to "boy, I can't wait to see her naked" and that's so tiring to know that who you are as a person is just some thing to be won Do…

They clearly don't see me as worth knowing as a real person, just another thing to conquer and waiting around for more I can't talk for every case that exists... But idk why you think that someone that has a crush on you is automatically someone that sees you as an object or thing to be conquer, because it could be the case that they are genuinely attracted to you as a person and want the best for you. Again I write this with out knowing your case in particular. I guess that this is kinda of the…

I think the opposite to be honest... I feel being direct safes a lot of time and misunderstandings... But yeah people like what they like
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 06:50 PM

Oh boy in my experience it's not like that... Often they just see it as hanging out with a friend... Nothing romantic involved
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 06:41 PM
4

So in Your opinion it would be better to not mention attraction or intentions directly? Just trying to find the optimal way to say it
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 06:32 PM
6

do you want to grab a beer/coffee sometime?" IMO this just sounds too friendly... It does not get the point across Would you think that just saying directly like "hey I find you really attractive, and i would like to date with the intention of building something more romantic with you" is bad ?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 06:21 PM
3

I wasn’t suggesting to keep it hidden. I know, I just think that men need to be clear and respectful about it But men only being friends with women they find attractive suggests they don’t value female friendships I will give this to you ... This is just lack of honesty, if you find someone attractive and you want to spend time with them, then it's not because you want to be friends with them, in that case men should be direct with what they want Losing friends hurts already, losing 90% of you g…

Well men posing as my friend has been 90% of my experiences with men. That why I said that "hey you are hot let's be friends" it's just not true ... Maybe I misunderstood you ... But if you are waiting for that to happen I would say that you are just naive If he developed feelings for me over the course of our friendship and respected my relationships or respected that those feelings weren’t mutual, but didn’t bounce as soon as he knew it wasn’t happening I wouldn’t be complaining. In my opinion…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 05:24 PM

It’s never “wow you’re so hot let’s be platonic friends.” That’s naive. I think that if you have sexual attraction to somebody you are unable to be platonic friends with them... And that's not bad. Yeah a good portion men should express their sexual attraction in a less obsessive/more healthy way... But that doesn't mean that they should pose as a friend knowing they want something else

To be fair some pick me girls like " pearly" (I think that's her name) say some stupid shit... Like cheating is aceptable if the man does it. Radical antifeminism it's just as stupid as radical feminism, There is some stupid shit that radical antiwoke people tend to say

And that If men were more selective, I would have actually been excited to match, and I would have had more capacity to be patient and curious. If men were more selective, they'd likely experience less rejection on the apps by women feeling increasingly jaded. Good in theory bad in Practice First the men/women ratio on those apps is already screwed up... There is a large amount of men compared to women, so even if men were more picky that would still mean that the women they want are talking to …
