I very much agree. We just want to exist as peers on an equal level as individual people. One should not be led solely by their desire of lust or love. I am a big fan of Musashi Miyamoto and the book of five rings. He truly walked his own path. “Get beyond love and grief: Exist for the good of man” “Accept everything just the way it is.” “Do not, under any circumstances, depend on a partial feeling.” “Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world.”
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/24 11:06 PM

acting or behaving like you don’t want “something” doesn’t get you that “something” that you actually want. You have it kind of backwards with the passive mentality. What? Theres no “act”. Theres no “intent”. Just getting through day to day life. We just want to exist without dudes wondering if we are interested or not or if he could potentially pursue us. Not everything or every interaction in life with the opposite sex is about interest or pursuing a mate. We want to be treated like peers. Tha…

I agree. I mostly see older folks or older millennials nod or say good morning/afternoon if they made eye contact with someone out and about. And that’s a pretty low bar for social interaction. It would be difficult especially with people who struggle to make eye contact or simply keep to their phones.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 01:45 AM

Not quite- it isn’t the same as treating your partner/interest. The intent is different when approaching someone with romantic intentions or expectations as opposed to just interacting as humans. No motives or expectations. Just chilling as fellow people

“But of course, that first requires recognising that women you aren’t currently dating or trying to date do in fact matter, which would be treating women like human beings.” /u/januaryphilosopher This is well said. This is the point, OP. There are many men whom treat women nicely and as soon as they find that the woman isn’t ‘interested’ or has a partner; they become hostile or cold. Inversely they would also take the woman’s politeness as interest and get angry for getting “led on” Women just w…

Thats true. There’s no third places really. That’s why people have to ACT. Find and get a third place. The onus is still on you. You’ll find your partner eventually if you CONTINUALLY work on yourself and MAKE connections. It takes consistent work and effort and even then you’ll still find bad actors. The consistency lies in getting out there and having a 3rd place besides work and home in a weekly basis at least. Go to rec center join a group of hobbyists- what have you. Don’t think you can mee…

Right on the money there. Have people forgotten the common saying, “Love finds you when you least expect it”? It’s always been difficult to find true partner-until you are good with yourself and happy with your own company. A lot of people are so desperate not to be alone they end up settling quickly only to find out their incompatibility way down the line. There’s only gonna be a few people you vibe with and that also vibe with you. There’s gonna be way more people that don’t and won’t give you…

I absolutely agree. There are shitty people in both genders. Just because one has had negative experiences with the other gender they shouldn’t be painting that whole group with a broad brush. Shitty people are shitty regardless of gender. Always been this way. The difference now is fringe inflammatory views from incels and misandrist feminists/TERFs get blown up (feminism is inherently about equality under the law and most feminists aren’t misandrist) Polarization gets more engagement and widen…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/24 08:06 PM

Definitely for the comparisons I put both stats for war and peace time. I think those stats were from 2022 so I would need one that is more accurate. We need legislation update for the draft to make it fair. As well as put in protections for women’s bodily autonomy. If there are life threatening and serious bodily injury risks that arise with the pregnancy or otherwise- women should have the right to choose the procedure that needs to take place. Both service and birthing require putting our bod…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 08:46 PM

I wish it was very very rare but it’s not. It’s just as common as deaths in serving in peace and war time. The risk is constantly present in both serving and in active child birth and after birth. And both birth and service are underfunded in after care. The comparison is apples to oranges but both are seen as a duty and people gloss over the risks and after effects of both
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 04:39 PM

Right but are common enough to make the death rate that high though. We are literally going against the medical principle “Do no harm”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 04:07 PM

I absolutely agree. Nobody should be drafted period. Since this is the way it is however I think women should be drafted as well. Now on the pregnancy again- I talk about women whom are ALREADY pregnant that have complications arise later. The Texas couple from the article didn’t find out there was a big problem UNTIL 20 WEEKS into the pregnancy. Yet she was forced to carry to term and give birth. And this is a tamer example. There are more where women have almost died from Sepsis from carrying …
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 04:03 PM

It’s dishonest to push that it’s riskier to go to war than birthing. Agreed with the risks of serving. Which is EXACTLY why birth is comparable! Do you know what problems arise and can arise during at the birth and afterbirth? You have the same risks of getting maimed while giving birth. You have the risks of PPD which is in the same vein as PTSD. Mastitis develops after and women have said it’s even more painful than giving birth. Developing fibromyalgia or other autoimmune disorders. Doctors a…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 03:58 PM

Same but your generation or mine haven’t had to contend with it. There should never be a draft but at least men stop becoming elegible after 35. Yes no one is forcing women to become pregnant. I’m talking about women who ALREADY ARE PREGNANT and have complications then are forced to carry the pregnancy to term. Read the Texas article! This lady didn’t find out the baby wasn’t gonna survive at 20weeks of pregnancy and she was still forced to carry the baby to term. If she sought treatment elsewhe…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 03:52 PM

Again, you confuse that I am talking about women whom ARE ALREADY PREGNANT! Regardless if they wanted the pregnancy or not. Do you know how you click on a link and read an article???
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 03:48 PM

That’s some smooth brain shit right there homie 😂 Where tf do you think the people come from that join? It’s stupid for men to complain they have to join the draft. If they keep initiating the pissing contest of being “disposable” Especially if forced births are even riskier than joining the military or getting drafted.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 03:45 PM

Then it’s no big deal for men joining the military. There’s less risk than carrying a pregnancy. So tired of men bitching about how they have to serve when there’s barely any risk
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 03:41 PM

Very selective reading you have. Again you didn’t even read the Texas article. There are pregnancies that have complications and are caught too late! How hard is it to understand I’m not talking about women getting pregnant Im talking about the women that already ARE pregnant. So no 🤡 they can’t just take the morning after pill. And there are states that are already prosecuting women how have crossed state lines for the pill. Making a woman carry a corpse to term or to carry an ectopic pregnancy…

The disclaimer the the top of the post not all men or women This is about such men with those views. I bring up this analogy precisely for their talking point. It’s just as risky to give birth and die like it is for serving. People gloss over the fact that women put their lives on the line to give birth.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 11:50 PM
10

Lol what about rape? Also yeah it’s a choice which is why I’m talking about women who ARE ALREADY pregnant with complications caught later. Even if the pregnancy is NON VIABLE. Those women are FORCED to carry the pregnancy and give birth. Even in instances of rape. Did you not read the Texas article?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 11:44 PM

Yeah and we haven’t had a draft since the 70s and the risk of the draft being enacted is less and less. No one should be forced to do anything . But because we have the draft I think women should be held to the same as men. I’m not talking about women who aren’t pregnant. I’m talking about women who ARE pregnant with complications caught later. Those women are FORCED to carry the pregnancy and give birth. Even in instances of rape. Did you not read the Texas article?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 11:41 PM

Lmao one of the problems men have is women DONT want to have sex. Why? Because men don’t have the faintest idea the sacrifice and risk that comes with pregnancy and birth. They call women selfish and entitled. When the states that they are in would make them carry a non viable baby and even still when their health is at risk. Men are so entitled and think they know a woman’s body better. Completely delusional
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 11:37 PM

Again disclaimer not all men or women. Yes-heaven help us indeed. Yes men have to legally join. I think women should also have to do so. It’s only fair. How fortunate that we haven’t needed to rely on that since the 70s and we aren’t at risk for it now. I’m not talking about women who aren’t pregnant. I’m talking about women who ARE pregnant with complications caught later. Those women are FORCED to carry the pregnancy and give birth. As with pregnancy through rape. Did you not read the Texas ar…

I agree that legally men need to join. But who forced them to legally take a dangerous job. I’m not talking about women who aren’t pregnant. I’m talking about women who ARE pregnant with complications caught later. Those women are FORCED to carry the pregnancy and give birth. Did you not read the Texas article? What’s up with the selective reading here?

So you even say that women die more often giving birth. Birth is a constant so yeah there are gonna be more births

“Sort of. Where do you think the people come from to join? They want more births for economy workforce and military.” They go hand in hand

Dude. Doing some mental gymnastics over here. Nah doing some PARKOUR! Did you not read it all? How typical. I included stats for both war and peacetime. This also included this “• Off-duty fatality rate:** 6.3 fatalities per 100,000 Soldiers. (This includes female soldiers as well) This doesn't include the suicide rate for veterans tho- go figure. Doesn't do them any favors I guess.”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 10:47 PM

Yeah in an ideal world no one should be drafted. But because it’s still here then both genders should be subject to this. It should be equal. Yeah true but I am talking about besides that. We haven’t had to rely on the draft since the 70s Currently it’s volunteer based and it’s coed. Lol dude are you for real? Did you even read the article? If a woman is pregnant in Texas and other states she is forced to give birth regardless of the risks to her health and the viability of the fetus. This situa…

Again, we haven’t had to rely on the SS since the 70s. I don’t think anyone should be drafted but since this is the way it is, women should be drafted as well. If the mortality rate for men are so high in the job, why do they do it? No one is forcing anyone to have a certain job or profession. As of now no one is legally forced to serve. Pregnant women, regardless of rape are forced to give birth in some U.S. states. It’s legal to do this and aborting carries legal consequences like jail time an…

I totally agree. I added the disclaimer at the top- *not all men and not all women. I am no stranger to that. All men have to do is sign up for SS but we haven’t relied on it. I believe we shouldn’t have it but since we do I believe it’s just that women have to do the same. I am talking towards the men that think there are no risks with pregnancy and think that men should have more sway in society because of the SS. Because of their mortality rate. I compare them both because of the legal implic…

Psh you afraid of showing me the stats or what? What about the deaths from preclampsia and bleeding out? Post partum depression? Mastitis? Haha don’t be a fool. Do that shit in Texas and see what happens. Did you not read the article? How typical How does this deterrent FORCE men to legally join? I don’t see anyone forcing any jobs or service on men

You’re absolutely right. This is mostly a response to the talking point I have seen over and over again. I out in the disclaimer not all men or women. I have seen people say that women shouldn’t get full citizenship in society because of their lack of service and because they can’t get drafted. People in the US gloss over the fact of how risky pregnancy and childbirth are. We are woefully under educated. They distain the woman who needs to abort and prosecute her if she does. This carries jail t…

If there is a demand for women to give birth. Give the respect it deserves. No one- men or women are forced to join the military legally. However many women in the US are legally forced to give birth regardless of health concerns for the mother or viability of the baby.

This is an example of how things “should” be but not as they “are” in the US. Those countries have A. Good healthcare B. Good social safety nets C. Good education

Show me the stats about weight. The risks and after effects of pregnancy are still there regardless of health. The safest time for a woman to get pregnant and give birth is her early thirties. Yet there’s many that think that’s too late. The biggest is ignorance. Yes male general mutilation is horrible and I’m against it. It should be outlawed. Shame on your parents if they did that. But what else are men legally forced to do with their bodies. What are men legally forced to do that puts their l…

Sorry! I’ll try not to do that! Yes it’s partly the problem but not for all the women. A lot of the women that developed preeclampsia are otherwise healthy same with bleeding out. There’s always a risk of death or having an after effect regardless of health. Just like the life and death or maiming risk of the military.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 09:49 PM
2

Where does it say the percentage of that? It is the lack of healthcare in the US and the negligence. Many otherwise healthy women die in childbirth. From precalmpsia, bleeding out, postpartum depression. The US military is coed and everyone is free to join or not. Women in the US on the other hand are legally forced to give birth. They have no bodily autonomy.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 09:45 PM

Well duh. Is reading comprehension worldwide? 🤔 I could have sworn I said US in the post. US as in United States of America Ay I added it to the old one and not this one. Ima add it now sorry about that! Also to your health comment- you think we have good healthcare homie? What about the deaths of healthy women? The lack of care and support for preclampsia?

So what that it’s safer? Men keep harping on how they have to get drafted so they have more right to full citizenship than women. The birth rate mortality rate is t abysmal because of weight or shit like that. Your opinions aren’t facts. This is the way it is because of the lack of funding, research and care to the female body during at birth and after pregnancy. The aftermath of birth lasts for a year or two after. Other countries let the woman terminate pregnancy if it’s a risk to their health…

Can you not read that this was reposted for the correct flair? I included stats for BOTH peace time and wartime. Tf you talking about. What’s your point? Women aren’t given the same rights as men to bodily autonomy. The military is coed. No one is LEGALLY forced to join. Women are being legally FORCED to give birth regardless of health issues and viability. You mad cause I’m right?

Hmm I’m pretty sure I might have more experience in women’s circles since I went to school and observed a lot of women. Loved a lot of women. Maybe your people are different. So yeah I feel like you’re stretching the truth here.

“YoU wOmen! 😭😭😭” haha you think you know women better than they know themselves? STFU. You aren’t humble enough to take advice lol stay mad and in your stagnant ways. Adapt and evolve like humans have done for millennia. Do the work and do what humans do best and adapt and learn do do shit differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 12:23 PM
1

Im so sorry this happened to you as well. We need a change and to adapt. Humans are the best at adapting so this needs to happen now. We adapt and then we evolve. Men need to adapt and make friends and learn to be friends to each other and other women Also the stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason it’s overblown caricatures. Think of the race stereotypes life imitates life sure-but it’s also a twisted view.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 12:19 PM
2

Well it’s time to do what humans do best and adapt to the circumstances and do what is needed. Adapt to make friends it starts with individuals to change culture. Then we evolve from there
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 12:12 PM
1

I am not sure about that. If that’s the case it’s time to do what humans do best and adapt to the circumstances
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 12:11 PM
2

Nope. I have and the internet isn’t real life. How the hell can you know anything about women if you don’t know any outside your judgements. If you don’t see women as individual human beings you aren’t worth having as a partner
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 12:10 PM

And that’s exactly why men like you don’t get good women. Thinking in those terms just pulls you out of the game. You’ll probably attract those women if you only think that women can’t form a deep bond. Being friends with women would be extremely beneficial. It shows other women you can be trusted
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/24 07:24 PM

Nah it sounds like you’re shifting blame. Men like you need to own your shit. Generalizing women like that will get you nowhere and just holds up the mirror to your negativity. No one wants to be around that. Same with men. The people I hang out with don’t have this twisted view. If you can’t be friends with a woman then why would they want to be with someone like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/24 06:50 PM

My comment was in response to the comment above me “perfect example of how easy it is for women to make friends” Having friends is a big green flag for women. If you think in those terms a lot of women are just going to think that’s all you view them as. It’s not simply having a “mate” it’s a PARTNERSHIP. What many women look for in a mate is a lover and ally (friend). How can one expect to begin to understand women if they don’t have them as friends? If this isn’t reciprocated then it’s gonna b…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/24 06:44 PM

Exactly! I ask myself : WHY CANT MEN DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS? They are just as capable of showing brotherhood like this. Is it not in their vocabulary? Or would other men make fun of them? Either way they can offer their friendship too. This culture of men not having friends is unhealthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/24 05:18 PM

Amén👏🏽 People show up in your life how one views themselves and the assumptions they make of others. Their energy is inevitably reflected right back at them. A person feels seen and appreciated when they are seen as a person not just simply a woman. It’s idiotic and counterproductive the way men like u/phoj7 generalize women. They think they know what it’s like being a woman? They think they know what goes through our mind? They accuse us of hive mind but what about them? Hypocrisy. They think a…

I agree! Progress is beneficial to both genders. A human being shouldn’t be stripped down to only their gender. I question the intentions of people who think in such terms. If I interact with them would they see me as Me- the person, or just as a woman and the rest is just there? People should just make friends and go from there. I do agree that if there was no demand then there wouldn’t be as big of a problem on some services. It is harmful to just say “men” bc it isn’t all men. A lot of straight men (younger ones especially) tend to put women and their company at the center of their world. Their priorities are different. People are impatient and want their time to come now. Everyone has become so entitled they get angry at life running its natural course and they think to themselves, “I’m not the problem- everyone else…

I read that post. OP kept asking and asking her friends if his girlfriend has said ANYTHING bad about him. He asked a lot so his GF’s best friend told him that. The comments were messed up. Again this isn’t the norm, the women I am around don’t talk like this. It is very discouraging to see all of that though. Even if OP asked a question that would have a hurtful answer. People say all the time “ask stupid questions, get stupid answers.” In this case it is applicable. Another side of the coin fo…

Accept the facts instead of feeding into this victimhood mentality of yours. Or maybe you need an example: If I have a tank top on, it’s not consent to get groped. The facts are that it was for basic consent that’s it. People will perceive it how they want for better or for worse.

I don’t think men are really being slut shamed more than women. Petty people are everywhere and they’ll judge anything for no reason. I’ve read some of your comments on the situation. I wouldn’t be overly worried about it but I wouldn’t dismiss this outright. The actions you and your coworker should take now is document. It was about sexual consent regardless of what someone is wearing. We have the freedom to dress as we want without getting assaulted. It isn’t at all about judgement by name calling and what not.

Yes. I should have worded my comment differently. Be that as it may, where exactly is the wealth going and from whom? Their royal family is vast and wealthy. The majority of their wealth doesn’t get circulated back into their own people specifically. The US is the same we have the most billionaires and yet they don’t pay their fair share in taxes proportionally and less year after year. They hoard their wealth off shore, hell now they wanna hoard their wealth in space. Their frivolous projects i…

Exactly! I mean look at countries like Saudi Arabia that have similar policies they want to employ. Women forced to give birth and not have working or education rights. How is their economy? How is their quality of life? Worse than ours that’s for sure. Women getting educated cause collapse. How laughable. It’s like the people that claim homosexuality in the Roman ranks caused the collapse of Rome. Utterly delusional. Edit: “ Saudi Arabia is doing fine.” Look at Saudi Arabia’s classes. The lower…

It isn’t vague. We are more similar in our problems than differences. If you are working class you are the same. Observing and comparing the lives of the women and men in my life isn’t different at all. In first world countries. One doesn’t have it better than the other 💯 That’s a fantasy that’s probably a comfort for strugglers but no one is special. That’s reality. People wail against pretty privilege and wealth privilege. It’s useless and keeps us in inaction when we play the oppression Olympics. It solves nothing. It’s not being neutral. It’s being nuanced which many people today lack. It’s not black and white. Every situation is not cut and dry. There are areas in society where it is more advantageous to be a woman and the same in the inverse. No there’s not. Again there are advantages and disadvantages for both genders at different times. Women are still at risk with being misdiagnosed at the doctors office. Depending on the environment if you find yourself in a “boys club” or “girls club” culture. Either gender can get shafted then. I have and still do see and live through misogyny I know and see bc I can’t miss it as a woman. You don’t see it bc you don’t go through it as a man and it’s probably not even on your radar. More and more women are leaving online dating. There are just mostly men in those sites so it messes with your chances. Sadly that’s how it works it’s a numbers game. Men completely dominate the online dating world they always have and the dwindling women users seem to blow this problem up. If you find yourself surrounded by bad “women/men” you have a small world. It’s on you to change your environment. Get a hobby and meet people in those events/circles. The world is such a big big place.

What’s be the difference? It’s already getting ignored in the first place. Women’s health in general. Society doesn’t deserve women giving birth anymore. I mostly titled it this way bc of the uptick in posts blaming women for the loneliness issues.

Exactly. How many women die from DV that have been ignored? How many women have died from the stalker they have tried getting help from? From dangerous pregnancies? It’s already loud and clear from society that women’s safety isn’t anyone’s problem huh?

That’s if men really really believe it’s about sex. Then wouldn’t the realistic solution be to legalize sex work? The maiming members comment is the violence women would inflict on men ourselves if we would be sexually attacked. There were already two comments indicating there would be more sexual violence perpetrated against women.

You make a lot of really good points. It is very nuanced and absolutely there is a time and place for demonstrating vulnerability and strength. If we had the powers you claim we have how is that possible? How are women still losing children in family court? How come there aren’t more female politicians? Men complain themselves about their loneliness all the time. I didn’t get it from articles but from the male acquaintances around me socially. There is a loneliness pandemic in general. It is not only a male issue. Many women are isolated and lonely as well. I definitely agree e do not take metal health nearly as seriously …

I suppose I can see that it being a non issue as well. I say “loneliness” bc I have been seeing an uptick in loneliness posts and laying the onus on others. With sex for sure we can definitely legalize sex work and see the difference then
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:55 PM
10

It’s personal responsibility. A solution to this is to teach men to be friends to each other. Importantly also to be able to be friends with other women. As women it is not on us to do this it has to be as a society as a whole. The life expectancy is on men 💯 a woman that is in a relationship with a man; her life expectancy goes down. So does her quality of life. This is an issue of personal responsibility plain and simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:51 PM
6

Morally- at that point I would hope we would have made prostitution legal and given sex works rights to ameliorate the “sex problem” If it comes down to making the nuisance in question- we’d probably really mess each other up and there would be a lot of maiming members
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:42 PM
6

I don’t agree with you because you live in a different world I live in apparently. These are my thoughts and experiences in flesh and blood. I see too many women in horrible relationships with ugly men and yet they keep making excuses for them. My marriage and friends in happy relationships are with partners that are emotionally vulnerable. Emotional stability is strength. It is childish to think that pretending to be tough is attractive. It’s an issue of self responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:33 PM
9

Well yeah- likewise women are supposedly “leaving” the dating scene right now and shit is hitting the fan. It’s nobody’s fault. No one dies from being un partnered. Society’s obsession with relationships is wild.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:25 PM

That’s very true. And the societal pressure for everyone to find the “one” really messed genx and millennials outlook relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:07 PM

I can see that. I just see a lot of men around me and growing up still trying to act “tough”The view in emotions are definitely shifting for the better tho. “The biggest difference is the disincentive that the current generation of young men has to actually socialize with women and make themselves attractive to them, not that they are not emotionally vulnerable.” Dang I think you have a really good point! This would definitely widen the misunderstandings and disconnect between the genders

This isn’t a gendered issue. Dating is in the hands of EVERYONE in the dating pool. Everyone has self responsibility. No one is entitled to each other’s time nor body. You are so doing what you accuse women of.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 12:02 AM

No. A lot of women don’t do this. I’m sorry your experience was this way. The correct way to put it is there ARE women. Just like you acknowledged about men. Saying “(which is what a lot of women do)” is misogynistic. You are doing the same thing you are accusing women of doing. Men aren’t entitled to women’s bodies nor time. Just like women aren’t entitled to men’s bodies, time or money. Freedom of choice and free will. You got some serious blinders on
