Women have an abundance mindset, so if you're unnatractive, they won't mind ditching you for another guy. I'd say women have high standards and are adept at upholding them, but depending on the person, they'll be flexible on a few things. It's just the way things are. Those with those characteristics tended to be powerful, and their legacy would be preserved. At the end of the day, we're all animals, thus procreation drives a lot of our impulses.
