The shitty feminists are the majority. Otherwise, how are they getting these laws passed? By the fringe minority? Sounds likely.

I think you are being a little disengenous in your reply here but whatever

As I explained in another post, he's skirting right up to the edge of the line of rule breaking, and doing so constantly, baiting others into "actually" breaking the rules. No single post violates the letter of the rules. Collectively, there's an obvious pattern. Which is why they don't really seem to know how to handle him.
/r/MensRights17/06/23 09:33 AM

Could you give examples? Mens rights commenters seem to post quite freely there (probably are even the majority). Only bias I've seen is kimba being allowed to run rampant and skirt the very edge of the rules, baiting people into copping bans themselves. I think it's a problem, but a fairly limited one in nature that revolves around a single user, who knows how to justttt play right on the edge of the line of where the rules are.

I cbf to read this just based on the caps locks and formatting/lack of punctuation. But I'm assuming good vibes.

I don't necessarily think this is true. You can look at how the mods engage with the topic in the meta threads. I think the mods are acting in good faith, but they are concerned that the subreddit will literally die if they ban him. As of now he posts like 70%+ of the subs content as a single individual. I think its short sighted though. The presence of and domination of a sub by people like that drive away people interested in actual, good faith discussion.
/r/MensRights17/06/23 08:53 AM

If you have subscribed to subreddits it could, yes. I guess I don't subscribe to any subreddits so my frontpage is literally just "all".

Also the subreddit will never front page due to its membership rules so don't know what you are talking about really
/r/MensRights17/06/23 08:31 AM

The discussions that happen in the comments are usually pretty high quality and open to MRA perspectives. The low quality posts are due to the aforementioned kimba93 issue. He currently starts like 70%+ of the threads in the subreddit.
/r/MensRights17/06/23 08:30 AM
5

FeMRAdebates. But you need approval to post, and the mods have ignored my requests. And they let some feminists like Kimba93 run wild there - constantly breaking rules like arguing in bad faith and never copping a ban for it. Meanwhile the monthly meta threads are always filled with people essentially discussing "how do we fix the kimba93 problem"... and yet he still never gets banned.

Dunno, sounds like an unhealthy coping mechanism that people who are traumatized by their circumcision might fall into. I think the people there are wrong, but I feel for them (the men, anyways)
/r/MensRights15/06/23 02:31 AM

And then when you ask feminists to do something its all "why should we? Feminism is for WOMEN, start your own movement" And then you do and you get shrieked at.

We need less to be happy, because we've been forced to make do with less. Human beings are highly adaptable creatures. I found this out when I started having serious medical issues. You can adapt to a "new normal" fairly easily and quickly. We have been forced to adapt to a normal that treats us very much as inhuman. That's why we "need less to be happy".

/r/MensRights28/05/23 01:38 AM

Circumcision is not beneficial - but actively detrimental to sexual health and pleasure - in a majority of cases. There are a minority of cases where it would be beneficial. It should be applied only in said minority of cases. Your understanding of the medical benefits of the procedure is frankly wrong, and ignorant.
/r/MensRights25/05/23 03:28 AM

The fact that society writ large doesn't see circumcision as mutilation is part of the problem you twit.

I think I see it mostly used to refer to people who didn't want a kid to begin with and are avoiding child support. Since men don't have options or parental rights, I totally support deadbeats.

I would actually say most women - but I don't think it's intrinsic. It's just a feature of the fact that most women are feminists - something like 70% in the US if I remember right? I've heard the way most women talk about and view men's rights. To say they are "not receptive" would be the understatement of the century.

You said feminism fails us in the current day. It's failed us since day one. Dumbasses like you think it's only been problematic since the third wave, when issues like the duluth model and the white feather movement predate that. It's LONG been a female supremacy movement - focused on liberating women from gender roles while rigidly subjugating men to it. This isn't a RECENT issue. Dipshit.
/r/MensRights21/05/23 08:14 AM

But i think by activly denying one side in a childish form of "who had it worse", is a game preventing progress. This is literally what YOU are doing though. You (and feminists) claim women had it worse. The comment that replied to you was just saying "no, it was bad for everyone". Now you are whining about a "childish game of who had it worse"..? That's literally what the guy commenting to you called you out for.
/r/MensRights21/05/23 06:26 AM

Holy shit, I actually cannot believe that you think that men have more reproductive rights than women. This position is so legitimately detached from reality that I can barely even comprehend it. Edit: This person literally sent me one of those suicide help things

If dead beat dads were women, they would have got an abortion and support from society. Until we have any level of parental rights, the term is frankly meaningless. It's just used to shame people who very likely didn't want to be dads to begin with

Did I say I haven't noticed sexism around me? I think you need to learn to read. All I said was that feminism hadn't infiltrated the course material in the degree. I told you, check my post history. Fucking dumbass.
/r/MensRights17/05/23 11:34 AM

Check my post history before you call me a feminist, you twat. I just self identified as someone who has actually experienced a history degree and isn't speculating as to what is and isn't in the curriculum
/r/MensRights17/05/23 08:44 AM

I was a history major, I didn't experience anything that I could call "feminism" in the course of my degree fortunately. So take this comment with a grain of salt I think.

Besides which it's like they don't realize that the law doesn't care whether you used condoms or even if you had a vasectomy. All forms of birth control can fail, and if they do, you're fucked. It's not as simple as "just wrap it up". The only way for men to have any level of right or say with respect to parenthood is to be entirely sexless beings. Something that most people (minus abstinence preaching religious nutters) recognize is not reasonable OR healthy. Edit: Sorry, I remembered we don't …

I was driven here by seeing wildly misandristic shit posted on twox Also spoke to a radical feminist acquaintance at Grad school and some if the stuff they said was frankly alarming. I actually did get a vasectomy shortly after roe (coincidental timing). But the funny thing is it's been a hard deal breaker to almost every potential partner I've mentioned it to. But I'm fine with it. I did it for me, not for them. And I did it because I worried if I met who I thought was the "right person" I might be convinced into fatherhood, despite knowing deep down I would resent it. Anyways... it's been absolutely lifechanging. It's not that I was going around not being safe before, but …

It matters for whether men should or will choose to enter the contract.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/05/23 08:45 AM

I'm also extremely pro choice, but I've decided I won't support fixing the recent roe decision unless it comes as a package deal with parental rights for men.
/r/MensRights11/05/23 03:43 AM
17

I think there's a difference on considering it a "basic human right" as in everyone should have access to it, vs "basic human right" as in you shouldn't be punished for having it. I'd land squarely only on the side of the latter (no punishment). But it's critical to call out that feminists are very anti consequences of sex for women, while staunchly pro consequences of sex for men.
/r/MensRights11/05/23 03:36 AM
5

Yep I will probably never get married, but it's not because I think something is wrong with modern women. Something is wrong with modern divorce/family court and male parental rights.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/05/23 03:11 AM
11

Jesus yes but the problem is these "punishments" are one sided. One side is incentivized. Your arguments would be true if men and women were treated equally in divorce court. But we aren't.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/05/23 03:09 AM
52

Who could have guessed. Society as a whole collectively punishes male promiscuity (child support) while praising and rewarding women
/r/MensRights10/05/23 09:17 AM

This is the real rape culture. The law already (and rightly so) takes male on female rape seriously. But when women do it... they are excused, or hell if she got pregnant even rewarded with 18 years of child support payments.
/r/MensRights10/05/23 09:07 AM
5

This is what /r/feMRAdebates purportes to be. They even have rules about engaging in good faith and not strawmanning. But spend any amount of time on there and you'll see a few prominent feminist posters who skirt by these rules on the daily.
/r/MensRights09/05/23 10:43 PM

Don't you know, pregnancy is something men do TO women. Not something they are ever an active participant in.
/r/MensRights09/05/23 10:42 PM

Look how pissed they are to have the same parental rights as men. Oh wait.... they still have way more. Wake me when men can go to a different state to avoid child support, or can just drop their kid off at a fire department.

These groups should not exist, for either gender. Almost everyone who breaks up breaks up because they thought something was wrong with their ex, or their ex did something wrong. Peoples entire dating history does not need to be, and should not be, subject to public scrutiny. Especially not posted from a biased perspective.

Nowadays about half of marriages end in divorce. Of those, most are initiated by women. And when it happens, the law shafts men. It's just simply a riskier proposition for men. It's like flipping a coin ar destroying your life.
/r/MensRights06/05/23 06:43 AM
2

It's a difficult discussion to have because the law doesn't really care about or consider your personal reassurances. Heck, there are even cases of prenups being thrown out. And for men its less of a "that could happen to me" and more of a "literal coin toss whether it does happen to me"
/r/MensRights06/05/23 04:15 AM

Notice how they insult both "toxic masculinity" and also "fragile masculinity". If toxic masculinity were real, then the idea that men should be insulted for being fragile would definitely be perpetuating it.

Sure, the vast majority of rape accusations never go anywhere, rape is a crime that takes place without witnesses and whose victims have a reluctance to report to the police in time for evidence to be collected. It's also important to note that the evidence collected can (not always but frequently) only prove that sex happened. It very frequently is not evidence of rape, but evidence of sex. (By this I mean that the only thing the evidence proves definitively is sex, unless there are for example…

There have been studies that control for grade outcome, and simply by switching the name on a paper from male to female, it is scored better. Blind anonymous (no name on the paper) grading resulted in better outcomes for male students. Add to that the women-specific scholarships and quotas. There's a reason why women are now far surpassing men in college attendance. Just look up the stats. If these stats were flipped the other way feminists would by crying foul and asking how we can fix it, but …

Financial abortions / LPS. Consent to sex is either consent to parenthood for no genders, or for both. I would rather see it as consent for both.
/r/MensRights01/05/23 02:33 AM

I don't think so tbh. Child support is hated among our community but society at large supports it. See how everyone immediately defaults to calling men "deadbeats" without considering whether they consented to becoming a father in the first place.

This is a really trendy opinion on reddit lately but I just dont get it. From my understanding, the feminist groups in their opposition are arguing that letting men come in with 2 years seniority is an unfair advantage that women can't get. Like, fucking how. It's mind boggling. Women can already work for those 2 years to get their 2 years seniority, and actually earn market rate for their labor and learn relevant skills.
/r/MensRights25/04/23 10:12 AM
3

Yep. One of the other issues locally with military service is related to how seniority works in companies. Here in Korea, there's kind of a fixed system where the longer you are with a company, the more you earn/the more senior your position is (very rigid compared to western countries). The problem men face is that they lose out on 2 years of this ladder due to their military service. This of course puts women, who do not have to serve, ahead by 2 years by default. So there have been attempts t…

Women can wear men's clothes without a second glance. But men wear women's clothes and the whole country panics. Tell me again how men never have been persecuted for dressing a certain way. Totally blind to all the drag panic gripping the US right now.
/r/MensRights25/04/23 03:27 AM

Here in korea, men get paid almost nothing for their 2 years mandatory service. There have been recent attempts to compensate men more (not fair market compensation mind you, just a little bit more than what is offered currently) and these attempts have been vehemently opposed by local feminist groups.
/r/MensRights25/04/23 03:24 AM

Feminists lobbied the government to exclude "rape by envelopment" from the definition of rape. What this means is that biological women are definitionally excluded from being able to commit rape against men.
/r/MensRights24/04/23 10:25 AM
1

The dividing line between whether it's accepted or not, is based on what personally benefits women. Look for example at their relentless opposition to any kind of parental or parental choice rights for men (paternity tests, legal parental surrender/paper abortions, alimony/child support reform). Hell even look at the way they shittalk the need for male birth control options.
/r/MensRights24/04/23 03:28 AM
1

Feminism claims to dismantle toxic gender norms for men (what they call toxic masculinity), but if you look at their behavior rather than their language, more often than not they rigidly enforce it. Freedom from gender norms for women. Rigidly enforced gender norms for men. See how quick they are to criticize men for "fragility" (read: vulnerability).

Thankfully she wasn't doing so (apparently) with the intent of accusing me, she was just having a meltdown. But it could have ended so damn bad. /r/MensRights19/04/23 11:45 AM

The problem re; where to approach women is every woman has a different idea of where it is and isn't acceptable to approach. If you listen to everyone, you will get an all-encompassing list of literally everywhere. But that list of "literally everywhere" is very unlikely to apply to any individual woman. My rule of thumb: pretty much anywhere is ok, but leave them a clear out and if they obviously aren't interested, don't keep at it.

The real counter argument to this is just asking her "sure, but which women do I listen to?" Polls have shown that women for example are pretty much split down the middle on the issue of abortion. Left-wing feminists would have you just "stand aside" and do nothing but parrot women... but wanting that is absolutely failing to realize that there is not a unified opinion. Not from women. Not from any minority they would like us to defer to (though women aren't technically a minority). I'm left win…

Not sure the two (marriage and paternity) can be separated. You can go into marriage with a vasectomy, and in many places, if your wife cheats and gets pregnant by someone else, the state will pursue you to the ends of the earth for child support. The fact that you have proof its not yours is considered absolutely irrelevant.

I get called an incel too for posting here. When I tell them not only am I dating, I'm dating a feminist, their brains melt down

Might not even protect you. Husbands are automatically assigned child support even with proven false paternity. If the divorce is drawn out.

My argument is always: its not in the best interest of the child to grow up into a world where he can be enslaved like this

FWIW I have reported VERY blatant misandry there before and was basically told to piss off

What happened was the k drama and kpop boom kept a steady stream of people willing to be underpaid just to live here.

This was the case many many years ago. But for korea at least (I live here now), English teacher pay hasn't been raised in literally 10 years. Even pre covid that was an issue but now with inflation... I don't realistically see how someone can live on so little, much less save anything.

You realize people have infinitely more control over weight than HEIGHT right?

Holy shit that was your reaction to my post? You're part of the problem. I'm 5 foot 11 and 130 lbs. My "league" isn't someone who is 200lb +. I'm not out here "trying to pull 9s". Just want someone who leads a lifestyle moderately similar to my own. "Despicable". Eat my actually ass.

Shaming definitely enters the picture for men even in the absence of demand. Just dare to have preferences, and you will get shamed. Could be totally happy living alone if the right person doesn't come along, someone who you are actually attracted to. But you will be called every name under the sun, and told to "lower your standards" (read: date an overweight person even if you yourself are 5 foot 11 130 lb) because you are "being unrealistic and trying to date out of your league" Like bro, no. …

Apart from this, if they do want to assign blame like this they should be blaming the false accusers themselves for making it hard for victims to come forward. But instead they blame the men who are hurt. Actual, legitimate victim blaming.

Historian here. Nazism absolutely was not a leftist movement. You need to read up on the topic a bit. https://www.britannica.com/story/were-the-nazis-socialists Hitler allied himself with leaders of German conservative and nationalist movements, and in January 1933 German President Paul von Hindenburg appointed him chancellor. Hitler’s Third Reich had been born, and it was entirely fascist in character The fact that "socialism" is in their political party name means just about as much as the "De…

Suddenly a secretary, running excel spreadsheets with a 6h per day work schedule will earn the same as a man, sweating his ass off in 90°F on an oil rig, risking serious injury and working 10h daily. And also worth noting, she would earn more than a male secretary doing the same work.

Every one is overweight and a no to me. But I am just saying this relative to my own body type (around 5 foot 9, 55 kg). Mostly prefer a similar body type to my own. I think if I was more weighty, I would probably find some here attractive.

Bet she still wants child support - wants the benefits of having a husband/partner but none of the responsibilities or obligations.

No, but I think they know it's coming and I think if anything they might be releived. I think they just want to enjoy their retirement years peacefully. My sister and I are both early 30s, and have never once expressed interest in kids (or thankfully been pressured or got questions about it).

Judges will often set income levels to what they think you can earn with your education/skillset to avoid this. Not just what you actually are earning.

wOmEn dOnT oWe yOu sEx, mEn aRe nOt eNtItLeD tO sEx The phrasing of this is actually kind of telling, in context lol. Not "no one owes anyone sex, no one is entitled to sex". But an entirely gendered "women don't owe you sex (men do), men are not entitled to sex (women are)"
