I'm not squeamish about them dying, per se. I just don't like the idea of vigilante justice Edit: specifically personal vendetta and hunting down a man to murder him. We have laws so that people don't do that anymore.

Then why do we have the police? I understand if he went to the police, nothing happened, and then he tracked him down. But this hypothetical situation would say more about the state of our police than the state of our laws. Theoretically the police should take care of it and put them through the proper procedure. It's wrong to think we can get around the law blatantly. We should reform it if that is the problem.

Honestly, I'm glad to see no jail time. If the father had tracked this guy down and blown his brains out, he should have gone to jail. Not only is that premeditated first degree murder, it's obstruction of justice. But, I don't know what I would do if I saw my infant daughter being raped. I definitely know I wouldn't call the police until after I was done, guy alive or dead.

Is it still legal to do that? Because I'm pretty sure most circumcisions done in America are done by doctors. Only very Orthodox Jews even WOULD do that, and the practice has considerably fallen out of favor
