Ah, got it. Thank you for taking the time to explain this. I was under the impression more people were killed in Salem. It’s usually talked about as if hundreds were massacred. I should have done my own research before making assumptions.

I give my dad a hug and make sure he knows how grateful I am he’s in my life.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I don’t think anyone should be drafted. If no one wants to voluntarily fight in a war, maybe the war is stupid? I support Ukraine getting its freedom from Russia but for future US wars, I can’t imagine being told I have to risk my own life and kill others. That’s not something I, or most of the men I know, want to do.

I agree with this. My last sentence in the first comment says that I understand the majority of incels are not violent. They’re a loud minority online.

I think it has less to do with being conventionally unattractive and more to do with how the majority of humanity is shitty. Even the most attractive people I know have been hurt, cheated on, abused, etc.

I don’t know the FBI definition but my definitions for female perpetrators include coercion, threats, physical force, sex with an intoxicated person while she is sober, sex with someone sleeping/unconscious, and stealthing which is lying about birth control/removing a condom. I would hope the FBI agree that rape definitions should be the same for anyone regardless of gender.

Yes, I completely agree. I didn’t mean to sound like I’m blaming or shunning anyone. Violent people still deserve compassion and support. I only meant that some people, regardless of if it’s justified, feel uncertain by the word incel and how it’s being used by certain people.

I obviously agree that men were victims to witch-hunts but didn’t only five men die in Salem? This isn’t to say that makes it okay or anything, I find the entire idea of witch-hunts to be disgusting. But it’s important to state facts.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with feeling lonely or frustrated because you aren’t having sex or in a relationship. I feel that a lot. But I think a lot of people hold judgement for anyone who describes themselves as an incel because too many have kidnapped, attacked, or murdered others, and not just women who reject them. Being lonely is very different from taking that pain out on others. I understand most incels are not violent but it’s happened enough times that people are icked out by the…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
