However if I’m the one responsible for providing insurance, and am able to do so, yet she refuses to without basing that decision on anything except for a “feeling” like Blue Cross Blue Shield won’t have good coverage. It doesn’t seem reasonable to me. If there is a better option that also is much cheaper, then why wouldn’t she take it? I worked for the railroad and I was gone most of the time and there was no real schedule. It was basically being on call 24/7, and when you leave for work your gone for 2-3 days at a time. When you return from your trip you have about a 10-12 hour window before they call you for another trip or job in the yard. I couldn’t have made that work.
