I’m going to suggest volunteer work. Even if it’s once a month getting outside of yourself and seeing that there are people worse soft than you, and everyone struggles. No one ever felt worse after helping other people.

I think you’re asking here, hoping to get an answer that you want, not necessarily the right answer. Being a divorced Dad has nothing to do with it. given what you mentioned here, he’s telling you to find somebody else. Even if he wasn’t doing that, the lack of follow-through should tell you everything you need to know. Being divorced and being a dad has nothing to do with any of this. The bigger issue is the distance between you.

Listen, you’re young. It might not seem like it, but you are. I’ll be 55 this year. My divorce was finalized last year, and I went through a lot of difficulties, just like many of the guys here. However, it gets better every day. Just take it one step at a time; things will improve little by little. Stay active by going to the gym, and consider working with a trainer if needed.
