Things won't be awkward as long long as you respect her answer if she does reject you. Imagine if a friend asked you out and you weren't interested. You would probably be a little bit flattered, but tell her that you don't see things that way. Don't listen to that guy. I recently got back into the game and it was very challenging to find sites to meet wingman. RSD inner circle facebook groups just got shut down like a month ago. Agree with easternbarnowl. You already went above and beyond with an apology for someone who isn't even technically your girlfriend. This might be a red flag on her end in my opinion. I completely disagree that it's the dumbest thing anyone can do. If someone treats you like crap you need to call them out on their horrible behavior.
