I’ve seen plenty of average guys pull hot women, but yeah never seen the short fat guy before. The most stand-out case I know of is a friend who has never stepped foot in a gym, has a slight beer belly and body resembles a plastic bag filled with pudding (not overweight just soft), and a literal baby face with zero facial hair or even sideburns. Dude has a triple digit body count, hot gf, and some of the best rizz I’ve ever witnessed. But again I wouldn’t consider him ugly. He’s just undoubtedly…

Learn to manage your facial hair, particularly the neckline. Pluck any stray eyebrows as well as any unibrow hairs. To the note of showing off forearms, another clothing hack is wearing v-necks, henleys, or a button-down with the top two buttons undone to highlight your shoulders and v-taper. When it comes to mannerisms, a habit that can be hard to break for a lot of guys is learning how to be masculine when talking to women. It can be easy to unconsciously mirror a girl's energy when talking to…

I guess it all depends. For me gaining social status helped a ton with challenging insecurities and narratives I had about myself in my head. It's a lot easier to challenge the narrative "I'm a friendless incel with no social skills" after you've hooked up with women and lived an outgoing lifestyle for a while. "Challenging narratives" was the really important part for me. It took some therapy and lots of actually going out and interacting with people to do it. But seriously if you get into the …

Agreed. As I've gotten "better" (Still not great by any means) at talking to people, my thought process has basically been simplified to this: Open -> Escalate -> Close. Open by saying literally fucking anything, escalate appropriately based on how she responds, and close by either getting her number and suggesting a date or hooking up that night. A "play it by feel" approach comes off as way more natural than trying to go full PUA.

If you self-analysis and can only come up with the conclusion “it’s hopeless and everything is worse than I actually thought” that’s indicative of serious self-esteem issues. Rather than dwelling on it, you need to work on yourself and probably see a therapist.

I used the word “open” when talking to a guy who is a legit gigachad with a 100+ body count and he legitimately didn’t know that was a term. Confident guys don’t “approach” or “open”, they just talk to women that they think are hot. They don’t think about “the process” at all.

Depending on how high your definition of “hot” is, this might be a “pick two of the three” things. Ridiculously hot women have tons of options and know it. Unless you’re lucky enough to land one in a small town that doesn’t realize how many options she has, you’re probably better off “settling” for a 7-8 rather than shooting for 9s and 10s. Learn what your actual standards are and be willing to date anyone who meets those standards whether she’s an absolute smokeshow or “just barely” meets your …

That is a self-esteem issue that’s not a universal experience. You really can’t think of anything positive to say about yourself? No hobbies that make you interesting, physical traits that make you attractive, or a lifestyle that other people might envy? If you really can’t, you either need to do some serious work developing a fulfilling lifestyle for yourself or more likely get therapy so you stop being so cynical all the time.

Yeah for an overwhelming number of men social awkwardness is primarily due to a lack of confidence, not a lack of social skills. Even if your lack of confidence caused you to not develop social skills, ultimately developing social skills doesn’t really take much. Confidence is what takes a lot of work to build up. Best way to get more confident is to improve your social status so you have more positive interactions with people. Learning how to dress, working out, having a good job/finances, and …

I've found that "wait until you get your shit together" can lead to a trap of never-ending moving goalposts. Spoiler alert: Most of us will never have our shit completely together.

Imma be honest most guys have like 4 real ratings at most. At the bottom there is the “not interested” ones, then there are the girls you’d hook up with but not date, then there are girls you’d date, and then there are extremely hot women who stand out as well above-average. Trying to split hairs beyond those 4 ain’t worth it to me.

Yeah with how incredibly competitive dating is right now most guys unfortunately would be more than happy just landing a 6 who is emotionally compatible with them. Someone who is “attractive enough” and gets along well with you is better than someone who is hot and probably willing to leave you the moment someone she sees as hotter than you shows up.

I live all of 15 minutes from the Mall of America and the biggest obstacle I can personally see is that every single girl there is either under 18 or with her boyfriend.

God the music is what kills me. I don't have the greatest hearing and I don't like dancing. So finding a bar patio that isn't incredibly loud and has women I actually want to talk to is like finding my Mecca.

3 times in my life I've had the incredibly blatant "you shouldn't have left I wanna hook up with you" text, and 2 of those times I was too dumb to realize what was going on at the time. Good job OP.

Analysis paralysis is definitely a thing but also just spam approaching can make you come off as almost autistic at best or you can fall into despair from constant rejections at worst. I saw a Todd V video on Youtube once where he talked about how confidence during approaches and charisma during them are almost inversely related. Approaching a lot without thinking will make you less concerned about rejection, but also can give you worse game. Meanwhile studying theory all day can make you more c…

I know objectively that I’m not hot enough to put in minimal effort and still get girls but also not too ugly to get my foot in the door. It’s the “dance” part that is difficult for me to do. I know that confidence is all about being secure with who you are and all that jazz, but it’s really difficult to not care about the outcome of an interaction when it’s been a long time since I’ve had a positive interaction with women. I’ve had interactions in the past where I was saying absolute nonsense b…

I’ve been told that at clubs if you’re really fit but not super confident or disarming with your appearance, it comes off as intimidating and scary. I don’t know if it’s true or not but I prefer to believe that over thinking that I’m ugly 🥲

What if I am bad at making conversation with random people too though? I’m certainly not like… on the spectrum or anything. I’m perfectly fine at making conversation, but I’ve dealt with social anxiety for years and as a result have never really learned how to break the ice with people. Basically unless a girl is very interested and willing to put in a bit of legwork with the conversation, I sputter out and feel defeated.

I really can’t think of any younger celebrities that have Brad Pitt levels of sex appeal. Ryan Gosling is the youngest one I can think of and he’s 42. Feels like the younger actors are either less masculine or more unconventional looking. Doesn’t help that “superstar actors” aren’t really a big thing any more. Every movie is either an independent underground film or a superhero movie. TikTok is where all the legitimately hot guys under 30 seem to be.

Design engineer. My job is mainly just sitting at a computer desk and the coworkers I occasionally talk to are all dads in their 40s. Honestly I’d love to leave it for something more fulfilling provided the pay is decent.

On weekends at best I'm either traveling, going to a concert, going to a party of some sort, or going to a bar/club. Not much during the day, and occasionally I'll end up doing nothing.

Having any amount of muscle and a low bodyfat percentage doesn’t take much. I can tell you as a guy who has had six-pack abs, they won’t get you laid alone and nobody even can see them when you’re wearing a shirt. I know dozens of guys who get laid more than me despite looking like lumpy sacks of pudding because they have confidence and game.

What’s a good way to learn quickly? Because working a 9-5 desk job and going to the gym after work every night might be getting me a bigger bank account and better body, but certainly isn’t teaching me social skills.
