No, absolutely not. No husband treatment until he is your husband. Don't uproot your entire life for someone who isn't 100% sure they want you in their life. Boyfriend = you can be with them when they fit into your life. Husband = you can rearrange your life to be with them.

Oh he's still living at home? Even more reason to not worry. He doesn't even have rent to worry about, so all of his money is money he can spend. I think it's great he spends it on you - shows he's willing to work hard and is serious about you. Just be grateful, say thank you, and if you want, find other ways to reciprocate his efforts (though not necessary). Maybe make him dinner one night (if you can - since I know you still live at home). Ultimately, however, don't let anyone tell you what to…

Hmmm. This is an interesting question. Personally, I find it really nice when men offer to pay. Because I think this sets up the dynamic for what long-term relationships are eventually like: if I'm going to have a man's children, put effort into looking feminine, and take on a lot of extra responsibilities and caretaking that naturally happens when you become a mother (and wife, to some extent) - and also work on top of it (which I want to do) - then I do not believe that that is a 50/50 situati…

If there's a movie/documentary he's excited about, I'll definitely watch that, and vice versa, since that's an easy thing to do, and it's nice to explore each other's interests. But I don't really try to look into topics he talks about ahead of time. He's into video games and I'm not into them (aside from being interested in how happy they make him), and I honestly don't want to play them for the most part, so I don't pretend. That would feel too inauthentic to me. Maybe make him do some of that…

Instead of trying to get interested in these hobbies, why not reframe the way you talk to your partner about them through the lens of "Why does it make him happy?" and ask him questions about what's good about whatever topic he's talking about/why he's interested in it/what makes him happy about it? My boyfriend is interested in some things that I am not that interested in - but I like talking to him about them because I love knowing what makes him happy about those things and what he likes abou…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
