Sorry OP, I'm not familiar with Bug Hall or his views, so I don't understand what I'm looking at here. Can you provide context, please?

Stoicism is often misunderstood to mean emotional suppression, yes. That's not happening in my home, no. Thanks for checking in on my boy, though. Good looking out for our community!

We study philosophy to cultivate strong ethics that align with our family values, and then I provide exposure to necessary hardships that allow him to fail so that he can build resilience. Stoicism and little league go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Could you imagine that perhaps not all women are like you? Could you imagine that perhaps even a small subset of women are actively interested in harming men? We're not saying ALL women, just discussing a very specific type: the kind who actually WANT us to initiate sex without explicit verbal confirmation first. We don't feel comfortable with women like that. You're not like that, okay, but why try to scold us for having this conversation, as if every woman is a morally upstanding clone of your…

The rapey one means "the one initiating sex without consent', not "the one with a vagina". Hope that helps!

Why would you bring a person of such character to your bed? Choose bedmates wisely brother, you owe it to yourself.

This made me lol man, thanks, but don't even trust it then. Give it a day or two and she'll ask for phone bill money or something. 😂

Brother, if someone says "we're moving too fast" or "I don't want to [kiss/fuck/whatever]", then maybe we should just respect it as a valid thing they don't want, regardless of their gender, and just move on. We don't need to do all this "what she REALLY means" stuff about it.

"I hung on the thought i dislike women because now they got older and lost the lustful soul they once had, they fell behind other younger women". Followed by "However, now i have an awesome job working with toddlers, kids and teenagers". As a dad, I'd really not want you in a room with my teenage daughter. Get help.

A boundary is not a rule. She is allowed to not adhere to YOUR boundaries. You are allowed to break up. What about this is confusing for you?

She's allowed to wear whatever she wants. You're allowed not to like it. You're incompatible and you've broken up. Ruminating on her behavior will not help, redirect that energy into moving on.

Thank you for sharing this. Suggesting crime could be resolved by removing any singular group doesn't take a slippery slope to land at the topic of eugenics. It's disgusting that this idealogy is being taught and normalized to young, developing minds.

You're trying to reason with a sociopath or a troll. In either instance, the conversation isn't in good faith. This guy is subtly mocking the community.

Any man who marries a man-hating wife must also have his head up his own ass.

You're right man, it's "justice for me, not for thee". And also off topic: 18 and 22 is a perfectly normal "age gap". But if we're arguing that a legal adult can't give consent in that scenario, then it limits their power to consent as an adult. The infantalization of adult women will be the undoing of women's rights movements, and they're doing it to themselves.

I know we're in a men's space, so male experience is the priority here, but I meant what I said. It's more risky for men, but all vunerable people are at risk. Eta: This is to just say that I support both groups. I see vunerable people as a group that can relate to men's struggles in unique ways. An ally of sorts, someone to workalong side. As a result, I don't feel comfortable drawing contrast between my aunt and OP's uncle when the conversation is open to the ways that society (women, specific…

I think it's more likely to happen to men, but unfortunately, this kind of treatment is typical of mentally ill and vunerable people. I have an aunt with schizophrenia and intellectual disabilities. She ended up in a daycare/preschool and they did the same shit, but swap pedo for violent meth-junkie. No one considered if that was even true, they just went with it and started calling for my aunt to be jailed, beaten, for killed just for being somewhere they didn't want her to be. It's sick. And s…

I can't disagree. Not everyone here, of course, but I guess it makes sense that we'd attract those types as well.

What if alimony was treated more like government assistance? I'm hazy on exact details, but there is something in place that requires abled bodied adults who are receiving government assistance like SNAP to either have a job or actively be seeking one. (And there are exemptions, of course.) So what if alimony held the same requirements? Only granted to low income individuals with the stipulation that they must be actively seeking* education, training, or employment. And once they're employed, al…

I mean it genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, I'm so sorry. I can see how it comes across as belittling now. That wasn't my intention at all. You're going through hell man, and if I put myself in your shoes, I can see how the reactions to that video would be hard to stomach. Because like you've said, we're only getting her (very vague) side of the story. But of course, the general consensus is that she's a victim deserving of sympathy, which automatically means her husband is the bad guy. Th…

I'm not defending her. That's exactly my point. My comment in question: "Brother, I think the comment section is rubbing you wrong because you're emotionally raw right now. Your wife is being extremely toxic and you're exhausted with little-to-no support. That's ass. She's a bitch, cheating says she's for the streets, and you deserve better... but with children involved, it's never as simple as 'just leave'. You're in a truly shitty situation and you have every right to be angry about it. Take c…

OP isn't out for a logical conversation on the matter. Dude tore me a new ass in the comments on the other post because I (kindly) suggest he step away from sensitive materials right now since he's going through some irl struggles 😂

I'm disturbed by your experience. There isn't enough focus on the insidious ways gender bias is negatively impacting client care, especially for men.

Your username is wild as hell bro 😂 That said, I agree with both of you. As a woman, yes, we (generally) want security. No, that doesn't mean poor men are fucked, because money =/= security. When I was looking for "dad" potential in my husband, for example, I assessed his adaptability, not his available resources. That character evaluation was more important to me than how much money he had available at the moment, or how much he made annually, or anything similar. How did he make the resources …

I'm a woman, and I'll raise any daughters to consider why he is staying with his parents instead of immediately assuming he's incompetent. Intergenerational living is encouraged in my family because it is the most financially wise/frugal living arrangement for all. Culturally, this works because it's expected of everyone to work, study, or otherwise actively contribute to the home while also saving money for themselves. (No slackers or freeloaders.)
